Name

I'm not sure whoever romanised its name to "Vanipeti", but that users clearly knows nothing about Japanese. Pokejungle 01:19, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Furthermore it needs to be moved to be redirected to Vanipucchi (Pokemon). Pokejungle 01:20, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Game Freak did. - Taylor 01:26, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Ever heard of official romanizations? (and the Japanese trademark database?) That's where this came from. Check your facts next time. Jellotalk 01:28, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
I don't care what they "trademarked" it is a shoddy romanisation Pokejungle 01:48, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Well we use the trademark romanizations. --P S Yライダー 01:53, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
That's ok Pjungle, I don't think they care that you don't care about their official trademark. But, it being official and all, it will be staying. -- MAGNEDETH 01:58, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
LOL Well the fact of the matter is even if it is trademarked and you'd like that to be the page name it still shouldn't say "バニプッチ Vanipeti" for the direct romanisation.  :( Pokejungle 02:02, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
It's staying. Get over it already. --ケンジガール 02:03, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Go *sigh* and whine on Facebook all you like, man. That doesn't change the fact that we're sticking by GameFreak's official romanization. If you don't like it, you'll either have to take it up with GameFreak's complaints department or just have to...

Cheers. --Darkeiya talk to me! 02:10, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
lol, back to the topic, I do admit I was wrong and I jumped the gun :p I was just really annoyed when I saw such a weird romanisation and didn't know the reason it was totally unrelated to the kana in its name :p Pokejungle 05:28, 11 December 2010 (UTC)

Based on

At closer examination it seems to me like it could be based on soft serve ice cream. Captian Obvious 03:45, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

Thanks Captain Obvious. --SnorlaxMonster 13:10, 6 January 2011 (UTC)

Experience at lv 100

Vanipeti shows 1,000,000, while the rest of its evolutionary family are 1,250,000. I assume a mistake with this article, but I'm unable to edit the page. Could someone confirm?

I think there's a mistake...

On Vanillite's page, it says that the official art was made by Ken Sugimori, but James Turner was the one who designed it. I think it should be changed, but it'd be nice if someone could confirm this. LittleOmu (talk) 00:20, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

Designing a Pokemon and drawing it are not the same thing. Ken Sugimori drew the art that's in the infobox. Ataro (talk) 00:36, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
Thank you clearing that up for me. LittleOmu (talk) 01:33, 30 July 2012 (UTC)

Game Locations

I'm not sure if I made a mistake somewhere, but the wiki says "none" and I'm currently fighting a lv45 Vanillite on Route 22 in Black 2 vlad.frostbringer (nevermind, I'm an idiot, it's a trainer battle) 13 December 2012

There are Vannilite's in the Frost Cavern in X and Y, though I don't know the rarity. Glik (talk) 19:32, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

Evoutionary Line and Gen I

I'm more inclined to think this might be false, but I was following a page on Facebook who posted this image (don't worry, you can still see it even if you don't use Facebook). It claims the silly ice cream cone evolutionary line is present in Gen I game coding. Tia-Lewise 22:59, 26 December 2013 (UTC)

It's definitely false. Their designer, James Turner, didn't start working for Game Freak until the development of Generation V. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 23:10, 26 December 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for clearing that up! Tia-Lewise 21:41, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
