Takenori Ohta

Takenori Ohta (Japanese: 太田健程), sometimes credited as Takenori Oota or Takenori Ota, is a programmer who has worked for Game Freak on multiple video games during the 1990s and early 2000s. His programming career began with Pulseman in 1994, after which he began working primarily on core series Pokémon games. Ohta was instrumental in the development of Pokémon Red and Green and Pokémon Gold and Silver as the games' main programmer.[1]
