The scientist was in his laboratory with a woman when they get into an argument about discovering Pokémon. While the Scientist was tired, [[Team Rocket]] barged in and demanded him to give them the [[Old Amber]]. The Scientist accidentally tripped on a table leg, causing the table to fall and crash into the machine holding the Old Amber. This caused it to rapidly regenerate into an {{p|Aerodactyl}}. When Team Rocket went after Aerodactyl, the Scientist pulled out a Poké Ball and caught Aerodactyl. | ||
