* These Pokémon games have the lowest amount of non-event Pokémon available in-game in regards to the percentage of its generation's National Pokédex, at 47% or 384 out of 802.
* With these games' release date (November 18, 2016) being nearly two years after the release of {{g|Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire}}, this is the longest break between two sets of core series games in different generations since the 23-month gap between {{game|Crystal}} (December 14, 2000) and {{game|Ruby and Sapphire|s}} (November 21, 2002).
