Release information
This Frienda Pick was first available in a gift set given away as part of the Exploration Start Campaign, which was held at participating locations with a Pokémon Frienda machine from July 13, 2024. Pokémon Centers held the campaign specifically between July 13 and 15, 2024. Stock permitting, visitors that said "please give me a Frienda Pick!" to staff were given a gift set, which included this Frienda Pick, a Trial Trainer Pick, and a Pokémon Frienda Exploration Starter Book. Gift sets were limited to one per person.[1]
It was subsequently available as part of a collaborative campaign between Pokémon Frienda and professional children's photographers Studio Alice. Between November 1 and December 31, 2024, children that had a commemorative photograph taken while wearing Pokémon-themed traditional attire would receive a copy of this Frienda Pick and a Trial Trainer Pick. Distribution was limited to 50 for each participating Studio Alice location, which excluded Baby! locations. People could also enter a prize lottery by following the official Studio Alice Instagram account and posting the SNS data of their commemorative photograph with the hashtags #スタジオアリス, Studio Alice; #ポケモン, Pokémon; and #ポケモンフレンダ, Pokémon Frienda. The application period for the lottery ran from November 1, 2024 to January 7, 2025. Thirty winners won one of the three prize packages on offer, which included a Frienda Box and Clinch With Friends! Terastal! Frienda Debut Set, a Frienda Trunk and Clinch With Friends! Terastal! Frienda Debut Set, as well as a Frienda Folder and Clinch With Friends! Terastal! Frienda Debut Set.[2][3]
It was available again at the 2024 Amusement Expo, which was held at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center on November 16, 2024. People visiting the Marvelous booth could receive a copy of this Frienda Pick for as long as stocks lasted, play free trial sessions of Battle and Catch! mode, watch performances by the Frienda Navigators, and complete a questionnaire to receive a large Frienda Pick-shaped uchiwa (fan) featuring either a Koraidon or a Miraidon design.[4]
