Paralyze (Japanese: まひさせる Paralyze) is a skill in Pokémon Shuffle.
Activation
Certain types are immune to paralysis. Immunities are indicated by X's in the chart below:
| Status condition effectiveness | ||||||||||||||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Condition | Defender's type | |||||||||||||||||
| Normal | Fighting | Flying | Poison | Ground | Rock | Bug | Ghost | Steel | Fire | Water | Grass | Electric | Psychic | Ice | Dragon | Dark | Fairy | |
| Paralyzed | ✘ | ✘ | ✘ | ✘ | ✘ | ✘ | ✘ | ✘ | ||||||||||
If a Pokémon is immune to paralysis, or already has any status condition, then this skill will not activate.
Effect

When activated, this skill inflicts paralysis for 2 moves.
A paralyzed Pokémon cannot use any disruptions, and its disruption countdown is paused.
Note that a foe's current status condition will tick down its duration after a move is made, but before the second hit onwards of the move's resulting combo. This can result in the status effect being active for the first match of the combo, but being inactive for the subsequent matches in the same combo.
Skill level growth
Increasing skill level will increase the activation rate.

Trivia
- Azelf having Paralyze may be a reference to its ability to induce immobility through loss of will.
- Galvantula having Paralyze may be a reference to its other type being Electric in the core series.
- Hitmonchan being able to swap its skill to Paralyze, Freeze, or Burn may be a reference to the core series moves Thunder Punch, Ice Punch, and Fire Punch. Each of these moves inflicts the corresponding status condition, and Hitmonchan is able to learn all three moves through level-up.
