Liko's Meowscarada (Japanese: リコのマスカーニャ Liko's Masquernya) is the first partner Pokémon that Liko obtained at the beginning of her journey, given to her as a Sprigatito at Indigo Academy. She is Liko's first main battling Pokémon, and is usually seen outside her Poké Ball.

Pre-series
Prior to the events of Pokémon Horizons: The Series, Meowscarada, as a Sprigatito, was raised by Marnya at her home among other feline Pokémon, as seen in Farewell, Sprigatito?. During this time, Sprigatito was usually alone, preferring to stay by herself rather than playing with others, until she impressed her fellow Pokémon with her skills in using Leafage and became close friends with a group of other Sprigatito. One day, she witnessed her friends in trouble after they were snatched by a wild Spidops. Although she managed to scare the attacker away with a Leafage, she ended up hurting her friends in the process. From this point onwards, they started avoiding her, afraid of what could happen to them. Thus, Sprigatito felt lonely again, sitting alone on the roof as the others found partners for themselves, and stopped using the move that once was a source of admiration.
Later on, she was among a variety of first partner Pokémon being introduced to a beginning Trainer from Indigo Academy. As Marnya noted at the moment, Sprigatito saw something in her, something that made her think they were made for one another. Seeing how much Sprigatito looked so fondly at Liko, and sensing that the two could become great partners, Marnya had her specifically chosen for Liko to receive and be friends with.
Pokémon Horizons: The Series
Meowscarada, as a Sprigatito, debuted in The Pendant That Starts It All (Part One), when Liko received her as her first partner Pokémon from Indigo Academy. At first, Sprigatito and Liko didn't get along well, with the Grass Cat Pokémon scratching her Trainer's hand and running off to mind her own business. In her battle debut against Ann's Oshawott, Sprigatito didn't listen to Liko's instructions, which led to her getting hit by a Water Gun.
During the next days, Liko worked hard to strengthen her bond with Sprigatito by learning more about her and make her listen to her instructions in battle, but to little avail. When Amethio first approached Liko, Sprigatito immediately got suspicious of him and led her Trainer to the school's rooftop. She then went up against Zirc's Rhydon and was able to subdue it with her aroma.
After being rescued by Friede in the next episode, they were taken aboard his airship with the other members of the Rising Volt Tacklers, but were soon confronted by Amethio and his teammates. Liko was about to give herself up, but after some encouragement from Sprigatito, she stood tall and had her partner unleash a Leafage so strong it broke the forcefield around the Wing Deck, exposing everyone to the unrelenting weather going on. In the process, however, she got blown overboard, which allowed the Explorers to kidnap her before fleeing.
In For Sure! 'Cause Sprigatito's with Me!, Sprigatito was kept in a warehouse with Onia, who had taken a liking to Sprigatito and was giving her food and toys. With the help of Murdock's Rockruff, Liko located Sprigatito and took her back from the Explorers, only to be confronted by Onia and her Skarmory. Sprigatito was able to blind Onia and Skarmory with Leafage, allowing them to escape. At the end of the day, Sprigatito and Liko joined the Rising Volt Tacklers as official members.
In Found You, Fuecoco!, Sprigatito battled Onia and her Golduck, and quickly defeated them. However, Sprigatito and Liko were almost ambushed by Amethio and his Corviknight. Fortunately, they were saved by Liko's pendant once again. Sprigatito then teamed up with Roy's soon-to-be Fuecoco in order to battle against Amethio's Ceruledge. Despite the numerical advantage, Ceruledge was clearly dominating the battle, which ultimately came to a halt when a Black Rayquaza emerged from Roy's Ancient Poké Ball and started attacking, forcing the Explorers to retreat.
In Special Training with Cap!, Sprigatito briefly sparred against Roy's Fuecoco. However, they didn't make much progress, as both Pokémon tired themselves into a draw after consecutive uses of Leafage and Ember. Later, after being unable to talk to Dot, Liko and Roy's determination to get stronger convinced Friede into holding a special training session for the rookies: this time, Sprigatito and Fuecoco faced off against Captain Pikachu and needed to land only a single hit on the Mouse Pokémon to win the match. While they initially struggled against his Double Team, Sprigatito managed to almost score a Scratch after her Trainer figured out Pikachu's behavior. After a lunch break, Sprigatito battled against Fuecoco once more in order to see how much the special training paid off. In the end, despite being at a type disadvantage, Sprigatito knocked Fuecoco out with her newly-learned Quick Attack, giving Liko the win. This battle was the first step for the new Rising Volt Tacklers to get closer to Dot, who let them know that the Black Rayquaza was in Paldea.
In Fly! Wattrel!!, Sprigatito and Liko went to Levincia after her Trainer saw an advertisement for the Spicy Herba Mystica that Murdock had wanted. However, unbeknownst to both of them, this was a trap set up by Spinel in order to steal Liko's pendant. After arriving in a dark alley, Sprigatito was put in a trance by Spinel's Beheeyem as he easily stole the pendant. It was later revealed in the next episode that Sprigatito went through a memory wipe thanks to Beheeyem, but regained her memory piece by piece. After jumping off a building with Liko, Sprigatito reunited with the Rising Volt Tacklers. In Quaxly, We Can Do It, Sprigatito teamed up with Roy's Pokémon and Dot's Quaxly to battle Spinel's Pokémon. Although they were able to defeat his Magneton and Beheeyem, they nearly lost to his Umbreon. However, Sprigatito was able to get Liko's pendant back from Spinel.
In Kabu's Battle Training!, Sprigatito participated in a Gym challenge set up by Motostoke's Gym Leader Kabu. Sprigatito's role was to extinguish the Litwick flames while Fuecoco attempted to keep them lit. Sprigatito ended up gaining the advantage, only for Liko to give up on the challenge when she noticed Roy's improvement, upsetting Sprigatito. She then went on to battle alongside Fuecoco against Kabu's Centiskorch and Wakaba's Rolycoly. The two were unable to defeat Centiskorch and, when faced off against Rolycoly, Liko forfeited against Sprigatito's wishes so Wakaba could win, which greatly upset both Wakaba and Sprigatito.
In Charge! Galar Mine!, Sprigatito battled against the Explorers alongside Fuecoco until they encountered a Galarian Moltres that had an Ancient Poké Ball. After Moltres overwhelmed everyone and left Captain Pikachu injured, Sprigatito left the Galar Mine with Liko, Roy, and the Mouse Pokémon. In the next episode, Sprigatito was brought to the Motostoke Pokémon Center in order to recover. After recovering, Sprigatito battled Moltres again in an attempt to calm down the angry Pokémon. With the help of Arboliva's Seed Sower, it increased the power of Sprigatito's Leafage in order to have its sweet scent reach Moltres. This calmed the Legendary Pokémon down, and it returned to its Ancient Poké Ball, which allowed Liko to take it under her care.
In The Stolen Treasure, Sprigatito teamed up with Roy's Pokémon to battle against Tepen in order to get the Ancient Poké Ball he stole from them back, but was put to sleep by the special Sleep Powder that his Foongus had.
In Farewell, Sprigatito?, Sprigatito ran away from the Brave Olivine, after she accidentally injured Liko during a practice battle against Fuecoco. She went to Marnya's home, as she saw her home nearby earlier while Liko was giving Hatenna and Terapagos a bath. When Liko arrived to claim her, Sprigatito refused to leave as she believed that she would hurt her Trainer again. However, Sprigatito was convinced by Liko that what happen before was an accident and knew that she would never want to hurt her on purpose. After understanding Liko's words, Sprigatito saw Hatenna and Terapagos snatched by a wild Spidops. She initially hesitated to use Leafage again to hurt her friends, but Liko encouraged her to use it, and she used it again. This time, she learned Magical Leaf to save them. After returning to the Brave Olivine, Sprigatito continued her practice battle against Fuecoco and won.
In A Challenge from the Explorers, Sprigatito was used to battle against Sidian's Garganacl. Despite her best efforts, none of her attacks seemed to faze the opposing Pokémon, who eventually used her Magical Leaf as a smokescreen to bind her and unleash a point-blank Salt Cure. This was enough to activate her Overgrow Ability, giving her a power boost in a pinch, but the battle was called off early due to new developments on the Explorers's plan.
In The Plan to Capture Rayquaza, Sprigatito played a part in stalling the Explorers until Dot arrived to deactivate the machine they were using. In the next episode, Sprigatito teamed up with Fuecoco, Quaxly, Captain Pikachu, Friede's Charizard, and Amethio's Ceruledge in order to battle against the Black Rayquaza. Collectively, they manage to create an opening for Fuecoco to unleash his Disarming Voice, but the Legendary Pokémon counterattacked with Draco Meteor, almost hitting Sprigatito if not by the sudden arrival of Amethio. Then, fueled up by her Trainer's determination, Sprigatito evolved into Floragato and was able to land a hit on the Legendary Pokémon, but collapsed from exhaustion.
In Welcome to Naranja Academy!, Floragato traveled with Liko to Naranja Academy. After a tour and being introduced to some of the teachers, Floragato had a rematch against Ann's Dewott, mirroring the first battle she had under Liko's ownership. This time, Floragato was able to win the battle by using her type advantage and newfound dexterity to her advantage.
In Put Your Heart Into It!, Floragato headed to Cortondo with her Trainer for their Tera Training test. She assisted Liko with successfully baking a matcha cake. In the subsequent battle against Katy, Floragato struggled to attack her Teddiursa due to Sweet Scent and Charm distracting her constantly. Liko swifty ordered her to use Magical Leaf to blow away the Sweet Scent and to land a hit on her opponent. Floragato then Terastallized into a Grass Tera Type to deal more damage to Teddiursa with a boosted Magical Leaf flurry. However, Teddiursa Terastallized into a Bug type, rendering the move not very effective and followed up with a powered-up, supereffective Fury Cutter, beating Floragato. Despite the loss, Liko and Floragato both passed the test due to their strong bond, efforts, and use of Terastallization at an appropriate time.
In Liko vs. Rika! Towards the Battle's End, Floragato was used in a Multi Battle alongside Katy's Lokix against Rika's Clodsire and Dugtrio. Initially, Floragato and Liko struggled against Rika's coordination, but thanks to both her and Katy reminding Liko of the importance of enjoying herself while battling, she regained her composure and Floragato started to battle more efficiently. After Lokix was knocked out, Floragato was left to battle both opponents on her own and, despite learning a new move in Acrobatics and Terastallizing, was ultimately overpowered by Clodsire's enhanced Earth Power, resulting in Rika's victory.
In Ice Battle! Cold-Eyed Grusha, Floragato was the first Pokémon sent out to battle Grusha during Liko's second Tera Training test, going up against his Cetitan. Due to their big difference in bulk and her weakness to Ice-type moves, Floragato was quickly recalled in favor of Liko's second Pokémon, Hattrem, but she was quickly defeated. Floragato returned to the field and, this time, was able to force Grusha to switch Cetitan out after firing a Magical Leaf directly into its mouth, dealing big damage due to its softer insides. In its place, came out Altaria, who put the Grass Cat Pokémon in a precarious spot with its aerial attacks, but Liko was able to circumvent this by having Floragato grab onto Altaria's legs with her vine and knock it down with an Acrobatics. Then, both sides Terastallized and engaged in a final clash of moves: Magical Leaf against Ice Beam, with the latter winning out, leading to Liko failing her test.
In The Approaching Shadow!, Floragato accompanied her Trainer to the peak of Glaseado Mountain to cheer her up after their previous loss. Along the way, the two were separated from Roy and Dot by Chalce's Medicham, whose Trainer was working with Spinel to spy on them. Floragato was then used to battle Amethio's Ceruledge after a sudden encounter with him. In stark contrast to their previous battle, Floragato was actually able to put up a fight and strategize by dodging Ceruledge's Fire-type moves thanks to her and Liko's training. When Amethio got serious and Terastalized Ceruledge, Floragato was overwhelmed and nearly defeated, until Spinel and his Umbreon suddenly interfered. After witnessing Spinel using the Laquium to shockingly empower his Umbreon against Ceruledge to defeat it, Floragato and her Trainer were surprised by Terapagos using its Terastal form to destroy the Laquium's effects. Floragato and Liko then followed Amethio and Ceruledge in chasing down Spinel for answers but were trapped in a cave as a result.
In Infiltrating the System! Naranja Academy in Danger!, Floragato and Liko were informed of the Explorers' activities at Naranja Academy. After encountering Sidian on the school bridge, Floragato was soon used to battle against Sidian's Garganacl. When her opponent got serious and Terastallized his Pokémon, Floragato found herself in difficulty and Sidian told Liko to give up and surrender Terapagos. Liko refused to give up and Terastallized Floragato, allowing her to defeat Garganacl with a boosted Magical Leaf, forcing Sidian to retreat. Later, Floragato and Liko encountered Grusha, who told them to meet him in Clavell's room. To her big surprise, Liko was not punished for Terastallizing and Grusha had surprisingly passed Liko in his assessment after witnessing her heroic actions and victory in battle.
In Shine on, Terastallization! Liko vs. Roy!, Floragato was chosen as Liko's first Pokémon in her battle against Roy during the Tera Training Student Battle Tournament and went up against his Fuecoco. They were pretty evenly matched, exchanging blow after blow, until she managed to grab and slam him onto the ground with her vine, leading to Roy recalling it in favor of Kilowattrel. She struggled against her opponent's aerial maneuverability and got paralyzed by a Spark, prompting Liko to switch her for Hattrem, who still was not able to defeat Kilowattrel, but activated her Healer Ability to cure her teammate of her status condition before being knocked out. Floragato returned to the battlefield and, using her vine as a distraction, made Kilowattrel lower its guard before finishing it off with a Scratch. Then, Floragato and Fuecoco were up against each other again. During this match, she was able to learn Sucker Punch, inspired by the vine tactic from before, and her opponent evolved into Crocalor before both sides Terastallized, with Crocalor ultimately emerging victorious.
In Into a New Sky! The Brave Olivine!, Floragato went up against Lucius's Arboliva, as the hero wanted to test Liko's strength as a Trainer after the end of her Tera Training. They quickly found themselves in a stalemate after clashing with Magical Leaf, but Floragato used their combined attacks to sneak up on Arboliva and land a supereffective hit with Acrobatics. Then, Seed Sower activated, which Liko interpreted as it asking for them to strike harder before Terastallizing Floragato. Arboliva withstood the enhanced Magical Leaf, but seemed content with Liko and Floragato's strength and returned to its Poké Ball soon after.
In Kleavor the Solitary Warrior, Floragato, Crocalor, and Quaxwell were used to battle against Lucius's Kleavor in order to convince it to join their group. Kleavor's immense raw power and ability to predict incoming attacks by listening acutely to its surroundings proved to be a challenge to the young Rising Volt Tacklers, who tried to retreat after noticing how outmatched they were, but were stopped when the hero trapped them inside a ring of jagged stones. The kids, however, came up with a strategy to throw off Kleavor's focus by utilizing their surroundings to their favor and managed to corner it. In the end, despite Terastallizing and landing powerful attacks in quick succession, Floragato and her allies were still defeated, but Kleavor was impressed enough by their strength to join their group.
In Entei's Fierce Battle Cry!, Floragato was chosen to battle against what was presumed to be Lucius's Entei alongside Crocalor, Quaxwell, and Captain Pikachu in an archipelago off the Olivine City coast. Although they failed to defeat it, Entei still recognized their strength, but was revealed to be a wild Pokémon unrelated to the Six Heroes.
The Rising Volt Tacklers's search for Lucius's Entei led them to Paldea's Pokémon League building in Over the Top!, after Briar notified them about recent sightings of an Entei in Area Zero. In order for Liko, Roy, and Dot to be granted access to the area, they were tasked with defeating Geeta's Pokémon, consisting of a Glimmora and two Glimmet, in a battle. At the end, only Floragato and Glimmora remained, with the Grass Cat Pokémon barely managing to win thanks to Overgrow activating. In The Pillar of Fire, now in Area Zero, the same four Pokémon that faced Entei before were up against their true objective, Lucius's Entei, which was revealed to actually be a Gouging Fire, with the goal of retrieving the belt it had snatched from them. Despite initially struggling due to their opponent's mostly unknown biology, they eventually managed to get the belt back, earning Gouging Fire's trust.
In the following episode, the young Rising Volt Tacklers and Friede battled once more against the Black Rayquaza after it had been summoned to Area Zero by the other heroes. Floragato was able to land some hits on the Legendary Pokémon with Hattrem's help and later worked with Quaxwell to douse it with a waterfall, allowing Cap to deal more damage with its Electric-type moves. However, Rayquaza was able to endure all of their attacks before retaliating with a powerful Draco Meteor, defeating Floragato, Hattrem, and Kilowattrel in a single move.
After finally arriving at Laqua in The Rising Volt Tacklers vs. The Explorers!, the Rising Volt Tacklers were ambushed by the Explorers, who had been following them for a while. A battle ensued, with Floragato facing off against Sidian's Garganacl once more and being able to win decisively, this time without the need of Terastallizing, even when her opponent did it itself. When Zirc and Onia arrived in Guided by the Black Rayquaza!, the young Rising Volt Tacklers were able to proceed to Laqua's previously sealed off area, where they, alongside Amethio, Terastallized their main Pokémon in preparation for a showdown against Gibeon and the White Zygarde.
The battle begun in the following episode and was initially very one-sided, with the Order Pokémon being so powerful that they weren't able to deal notable damage even when exploiting a weakness. With a Land's Wrath, Zygarde defeated Crocalor and Quaxwell, and left Floragato and Ceruledge on their last legs. Refusing to give up, Liko encouraged Floragato to stand tall as well in order to protect their friends, which was the push necessary for her to evolve into Meowscarada. For a final assault, she teamed up with Ceruledge, and managed to knock Zygarde down with her newly learned Flower Trick. At this moment, Zygarde forfeited the battle, revealing it was actually testing the strength and resolve of Liko and her friends all along.
In Eyes to the Skies Once Again (Part Two), a year after the events at Laqua, Meowscarada subtly became displeased with Liko's rejection of Roy's request to help him stop the Laquium incidents by disappearing without her noticing, going to the rooftop of the academy. When Liko found her watching Ann and Roy's battle, she jumped off the rooftop, communicating her Trainer that she wished to battle Roy, with the girl noting how her friends had kept moving forward while she felt she had remained stuck. Meowscarada subsequently battled Roy's Crocalor, with both Pokémon eventually Terastallizing, but ultimately she was defeated. Even so, Liko expressed her thanks to Meowscarada before recalling her, noting that even she herself had made progress, even if she hadn't realized it beforehand.
In Following Traces of Laquium, Meowscarada helped out Roy's Lucario in stopping a rampaging Steelix under the influence of Laquium. In the next episode, Meowscarada battled against Litten Smitten's Incineroar despite having a type disadvantage. While overwhelmed by her stronger opponent at first, she managed to counter it, though the battle was interrupted by Ult being chased by a Pokémon stampede. Meowscarada then performed some magic tricks to calm down the horde of Dodrio and Fearow that was chasing Ult to properly send them away without a fight.
In Taking the Next Steps, Meowscarada and Charcadet were used in a Double Battle against Diana's Arcanine and Wash Rotom. At the start of the battle, Diana's Arcanine used Flamethrower, which Charcadet absorbed using Flash Fire. Diana later had Arcanine use Flare Blitz, and Charcadet attempted to absorb the blow again, but she soon had Wash Rotom use Hydro Pump to intercept it. Meowscarada prevented Charcadet from getting hurt, but her efforts resulted her being hit by Flare Blitz and being unable to battle. Meowscarada watched the rest of the battle, as Charcadet fought the two Pokémon on its own, although it was able to defeat Wash Rotom but lost to Arcanine. After she and their Trainer praised Charcadet for its efforts, Liko recalled Meowscarada into her Poké Ball to recover.
In The Six Heroes Unleashed!, Meowscarada was used alongside the rest of Liko, Roy, and Ult's Pokémon to battle against five of the Six Heroes, who were under the influence of the Super Strong Spheres. Together, they stalled for time to allow Pagogo to purify the Laquium away from the heroes' bodies, but the Explorers used the Super Strong Spheres once more on them. In the next episode, despite her efforts, Meowscarada gets knocked out by Arboliva.
In HZ125, Meowscarada was used to battle Lucius's Kleavor, which was being controlled by Sidian, alongside Hatterene. After suffering significant damage in battle, Meowscarada was healed by Hatterene's Healing Wish, knocking out Hatterene in the process. Liko then Terastallized Meowscarada, setting up her vines as an invisible trap to bind Kleavor. She subsequently defeated Kleavor with a full power Magical Leaf.
Personality and characteristics
Meowscarada has shown to be brave at heart, headstrong, and somewhat reckless, as she refuses to give up on any situation. As a Sprigatito, she was not the affectionate type nor an attention-seeker, both traits common of her species, to the point of being hostile to humans if they tried to display affection. As the time passed, specially since the events of The Pendant That Starts It All (Part Two), her initial coldness and hostility towards those around her has mellowed out as she became friendlier with people and Pokémon alike, but has not outright disappeared: when she first met Diana in Reunion at the Ancient Castle, she tried to scratch her, probably in response to what she was saying. Much like her Trainer, she can be cautious of trusting others, a trait first seen when Amethio presented himself to them in The Pendant That Starts It All (Part One), but otherwise has no reservations and can easily make friends.
She has shown to be relaxed and overall unimpressed with various things. She enjoys sunbathing and, as revealed in Special Training with Cap!, dry-flavored food, with a special liking to matcha, but has been seen enjoying sweets in The Bittersweet Truth. In addition, she is easily startled by loud noises and has shown to be easily provokable, as seen during her first training match against Captain Pikachu, in which his Double Team strategy frustrated her. Despite being a Grass-type Pokémon, she was shown to dislike water, but dosen't mind relaxing in a tube, as seen in Riding the Waves. Initially, Sprigatito was a lot more free-spirited and did not seem interested in Liko at all, scratching her hand during their first meeting and running off to mind her own business. However, after witnessing the effort her Trainer was putting in order to actually understand her habits, she started to break out of her shell and eventually came to appreciate her affection, allowing Liko to carry her in her arms or taking the initiative to sit on her shoulder or atop her head. Furthermore, upon witnessing the lengths her Trainer was willing to go in order to protect her, even during their initial hardships, such as when they were falling from a height at the Indigo Academy or when Liko rescued her from the Explorers, she became very close and loyal to Liko. Although her bond with her Trainer is pretty strong, she can get upset with her at times, specially if Liko does something she doesn't like or approve of, but does understand her well-meaning intentions to help their friends.
Ever since her time at Marnya's house, Sprigatito was insecure and afraid of her own strength, as she feared causing serious harm to her friends. Liko attributed this reasoning to explain Sprigatito's initial aversion to using Leafage when they first met. However, through Liko's support and encouragement, she let go of her fear and became more confident in herself, even coming around to enjoy battling and developing a desire to become stronger, especially to keep Liko safe from endangerment. Also, Meowscarada wants to be the one to battle, as seen in Reunion in Cortondo, when she gets upset that she isn't the one battling Katy.
While understanding that Liko is a kind person who has care for everyone around her and the bond they both share will always be the strongest, Sprigatito has shown to get jealous of both people and Pokémon getting or receiving her Trainer's attention and affection, as seen with Alex's Fidough in Welcome to Paldea! and Terapagos in Terapagos's Adventure. However, Sprigatito quickly let go of her jealousy towards Fidough and Terapagos at different points after she befriended them. After evolving into Meowscarada and spending a year away from the Rising Volt Tacklers, her jealousy and possessiveness of Liko grew stronger. As shown in Clash of the Nidothing Fans, she became increasingly annoyed with Litten Smitten receiving Liko's full attention, and when the former's two Litten climbed onto Liko's legs, Meowscarada grabbed them and threw the two Fire Cat Pokémon off her, and refused to apologize afterwards. In Crash! Team Dragon Rampage!, she got in-between Liko and Ult as they talked and hugged the former while glaring at Ult, annoyed with the attention Liko was giving him. She is also not completely emotionally closed off, as she remains very good friends with the Pokémon in the Rising Volt Tacklers, specifically Roy's Skeledirge and Dot's Quaquaval, even after being separated for a year.
Upon meeting a wild Hatenna in The Lonely Hatenna, she didn't show her jealous side towards the Calm Pokémon, as she helped Liko look after her, which led them to form a close friendship and become teammates when her Trainer caught her, after encouraging her to stay with them. Ever since Hatenna joined the group, Sprigatito became protective of her, as she came to see her as her little sister and would get concerned when she would wander off on her own, as shown in As Long as I'm with My Friends, when she ran away from Dot's strong emotions, but was relieved that she was safe when the group found her. In The Flower Tower, despite Florgato feeling that Liko is paying more attention to Hatenna and Terapagos, she still doesn't hold a grudge against the former and allows Liko to put Hatenna in her arms as the latter looks for the Tera Pokémon. They maintain their friendship after they both evolved at different points, even when they both evolved into their final stages. Meowscarada also enjoys carrying Hattrem in her arms as they journey alongside their Trainer. After she evolved into Hatterene, Meowscarada comes to not mind sharing her affection for their Trainer with her. In addition to Hatterene, while she was in her first two stages, Meowscarada doesn't mind holding Pagogo in her arms as well.
When Charcadet joined the group in The Knight in the Ruins, Meowscarada came to show respect for its determination and devotion, as she felt a kinship with it and understands that it wants to get stronger like she does in order to protect Liko from danger. Meowscarada also became a mentor figure to Charcadet, even helping it realize that she and the rest of their teammates can defend themselves and it's okay for Charcadet to be protected by them in return, and is willing to do what she can to help it grow as a battler. Like she is with Hatterene, Meowscarada is protective of Charcadet and sees it as her youngest sibling, as she doesn't show any sign of jealousy towards the Fire Child Pokémon's bond with Liko. Meowscarada would even praise Charcadet for its bravery and efforts, especially in Pokémon battles. In addition, Meowscarada would sometimes restrain Charcadet when it wants to battle or if it can't stay in one place. She maintains her bond with it after it evolved into Armarouge, as she looked on with pride to see the Fire Warrior Pokémon become stronger.
As a Sprigatito, Meowscarada was capable of releasing a sweet scent from her paws that relaxed those who smelled it. Sunbathing strengthens the power of her sweet scent, as noted by Liko herself. This aroma was strong enough to put Zirc's Rhydon to sleep in the middle of their battle in The Pendant That Starts It All (Part One) and to calm Lucius's Galarian Moltres down in Fiery Galarian Moltres. Moreover, Meowscarada has shown to be a tactic battler and was specially adept at using her Leafage, and later Magical Leaf, for various purposes. In Farewell, Sprigatito?, it was revealed that her proficiency with the move had garnered her some popularity around Marnya's house even before partnering with Liko. Since becoming her Pokémon, however, Sprigatito gained even more control over Leafage: as of Kabu's Battle Training!, she became able to control its speed, quantity, and power to better suit the situation. Her Leafage can also be used to spread her sweet scent over large areas, as seen in Fiery Galarian Moltres, and to blind opponents, usually in preparation for a sneak attack or for escaping—both applications point to Floragato's natural ingenuity, which matches perfectly with Liko's observational skills, allowing her to circumvent her lack of raw strength.
After evolving into Meowscarada, she has been able to hold her own against both Legendary Pokémon like Zygarde and Pokémon strengthened by Laquium, integrating her newfound Flower Trick move into her strategies, allowing her to overwhelm opponents. She also seems to prefer tying down opponents with the invisible wire connected to her trick flower to keep them from moving. Meowscarada has additionally shown a more mischievous and prankish side of her personality, such as when she purposely startled Ult with a flower bomb aboard the Brave Olivine, much to her amusement. Despite her possessiveness of Liko, she can be greatly selfless when it comes to her friends, shoving Crocalor out of the way to prevent him from getting hit during their battle with Coral and Sidian in The Strong Sphere and taking the brunt of a Flare Blitz from Diana's Arcanine to protect Charcadet in Taking the Next Steps.

From March 5, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., to March 11, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time and April 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., to April 22, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time, as part of Pokémon GO's Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event[5][6], which was based on Pokémon Horizons: The Series, several Pokémon based on those encountered in the animated series appeared more frequently in the wild, in raids, from Eggs, from Field Research tasks, and during surprise encounters. During the first and second event, Sprigatito appeared in the wild from Field Research tasks, and during the second event, Floragato wearing a hat with Liko's pin also appeared in the wild, and during the raid and surprise encounters. Additionally, from April 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., to April 23, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time, a special Floragato Timed Research event was held in Pokémon GO. After entering the code '907andLIKO' in the Pokémon GO Web Store, players received quests that, upon completion, would guarantee an encounter with a special Floragato wearing a hat with Liko's pin.
