Latias (Japanese: ラティアス Latias) is a character from Pokémon Heroes: Latios & Latias.

Latias sight-sharing with Latios

Latias and her brother Latios lived in the Secret Garden in Alto Mare, where they were the guardians of the Soul Dew. They were friends with Lorenzo and Bianca.

Latias and Latios presented some very unique powers in the movie, such as sight-sharing, invisibility, and shapeshifting. Latias commonly shapeshifts to appear the same as Bianca, and befriended Ash under her persona. She may have a crush on him as well, as was hinted in the movie, undoubtedly because he saved her from Annie and Oakley.

In The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon, Latias was seen in Pikachu's memories. It also briefly reappeared in a montage in The Rise of Darkrai, which chronicled the preceding nine movies.

Latias briefly appeared in Ash and Latios in her Bianca disguise.

Latias is a very docile Pokémon. She appeared to dislike fighting and was quickly scared off by any conflict or anything attempting to cause harm to her. She cared much for people and Pokémon close to her, including Ash, Latios, Bianca, and Lorenzo. She was, however, shown to have a more mature side beside her childish and playful side, bravely joining her big brother to save Alto Mare from drowning.

Latias is one of the few Pokémon seen in the animated series to have been shown to have a crush on a person, who, in Latias's case, is Ash. After saving Latias from Annie and Oakley, Latias was shown to have complete trust in Ash, wanting to play with him all the time they spent together at the Secret Garden, and also being the one she sought help from when Latios was kidnapped.

In the games

Latias was distributed in Japan from August 11 to September 8, 2022 as part of the 20th anniversary screenings of Pokémon Heroes: Latios & Latias. This Latias is unique in that it knows the move Sweet Kiss, a move which it can otherwise normally not learn. This is probably in reference to the kiss that Latias gives Ash at the end of the movie.

• In Pokémon Adventures, Latios and Latias are shown being capable of using a sight-sharing power similar to that used by Latios and Latias in Pokémon Heroes: Latios & Latias.
  • The Latias, in the same manga, is also able to shapeshift into a human girl and does so frequently, similar to how the Latias from the movie frequently shapeshifts into Bianca.
