Kalos Starter Set Decks

Bulbanews
Bulbanews has an article related to this subject:

The Kalos Starter Set was the first main release of the XY Series and was launched simultaneously on November 8, 2013 with its Japanese counterparts, the Beginning Set and Beginning Set for Girls. Cards from the set were available across three Kalos Starter Set Decks—the Chespin Deck, the Fennekin Deck, and the Froakie Deck—and comprised debuts of several Generation VI Pokémon, including a handful supporting the new Fairy type and the evolved forms of the Kalos first partner Pokémon. Each deck included a sheet of damage counters and status markers, a coin, a checklist and summary of changes in the XY Series, a 2-player playmat and rulesheet, a deck box, and a code card for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online that would unlock digital versions of the respective deck within the game. Deluxe versions of each deck were also made available from the same day, which featured exclusive Sheen Holofoil versions of the Basic and Stage 1 first partner Pokémon, as well as a bonus Black & White Series booster pack (typically Legendary Treasures).

The Sylveon Collection was released on November 15, 2013 and featured the Pokémon Trading Card Game debut of the Intertwining Pokémon Sylveon. Each collection included a brand new Sylveon promotional card, a Sylveon figure, a single basic Fairy Energy, four Black & White Series booster packs, as well as alternate-art promotional cards depicting Eevee and each of the seven Eeveelutions available at the time. XY Blisters

In addition to the XY Theme Decks, six different XY Blisters made their way to store shelves for release on February 5, 2014. Single Pack Blisters included one XY booster pack, a coin, and an exclusive Cosmos Holofoil print of either Dragon Vault Salamence or Plasma Freeze Dragonite. Two Pack Blisters came with a coin, two XY booster packs, and, much like the Black & White Two Pack Blisters, featured a trio of exclusive Cosmos Holofoil variants. One included Dark Explorers Venusaur, Boundaries Crossed Charizard, and Plasma Blast Blastoise; the other included Dragon Vault Dragonite, and Dragons Exalted Garchomp and Hydreigon. The print of Blastoise erroneously lists the copyright as ©2012, even though the Plasma Blast expansion was released in 2013 and the blister packs in 2014. This was corrected when the six promotional cards were printed again eight months later in the XY Knock Out Collection.

In addition to three XY booster packs and a coin, the Three Pack Blisters featured Cosmos Holofoil prints of either Dragons Exalted Gyarados or Plasma Storm Gallade. These blisters used the plastic clamshell packaging first seen on varieties for the Black & White expansion and were not initially available in North America. It was not until their inclusion on the Pokémon Center online store in August 2014 that prompted their distribution in the North American market. Variations of these blisters with the more traditional paperboard packaging were also made available at a later date.

The coins included within the first release of these blisters were mostly repackaged from Noble Victories, Next Destinies, and Dark Explorers-related merchandise. Different coins were included in waves of Single Pack Blisters that shipped with Garchomp-EX Boxes for release in April 2014. These updated blisters came with Black-backed versions of the Xerneas and Yveltal coins from the XY Theme Decks, as well as Black-backed, Gold Mirror Holofoil Pikachu coins. The Xerneas and Yveltal coins were only available in shipments to Target stores, while the Pikachu coins were more widely available. Another wave of Two Pack Blisters was also shipped with Flashfire products: blisters featuring the evolved Kanto first partner Pokémon included a Large-sized, Black-backed, Silver Cracked Ice Holofoil Deoxys coin; blisters featuring the three Dragon-type Pokémon included a Large-sized, Black-backed, Silver Cracked Ice Holofoil Genesect coin.

XY Elite Trainer Box

The XY expansion saw the release of the third installment of the Elite Trainer Box product line, and the first of the XY Series. The XY Elite Trainer Box came in two varieties: one featuring Xerneas and one featuring Yveltal. Compared to the previous iteration, these boxes added five copies of Fairy Energy to the stock of basic Energy for a total of 45 cards. Each box also contained eight XY booster packs, 65 themed card sleeves, two acrylic Special Condition markers, six damage counter dice, one large die for coin flips, four dividers, and an XY Player's Guide that provided an overview of the XY expansion. The boxes could also be used for storage.

Xerneas Jumbo Collection

Bulbanews
Bulbanews has an article related to this subject:

During the XY Series, collectible figures were not included in products made for sale outside North America, resulting in equivalent lines containing different items. Instead of the Xerneas Figure Collection, the Xerneas Jumbo Collection was made available in other regions overseen by The Pokémon Company International from February 19, 2014. Each of these collections included a copy of the same alternate-art Xerneas XY Black Star Promo card and same quantity of XY booster packs but came with an oversized version of the Xerneas card instead of the figure.

XY Trainer Kit

Main article: XY Trainer Kit (TCG)

Trainer Kits were first conceived in the EX Series as a way to introduce prospective players to the Pokémon Trading Card Game. The XY Trainer Kit was the first iteration of the XY Series and was released on March 12, 2014. Each kit was packaged with two pre-constructed Half Decks featuring Sylveon and Noivern, with the Sylveon Half Deck focusing on Fairy-type Pokémon and the Noivern Half Deck focusing on Darkness and Psychic-types. None of the cards have rarity symbols and each feature a collection number and set symbol exclusive to the kit. The cards are numbered in such a way to allow them to be played in the kit's example battle; cards could also be easily reset if the decks were accidentally shuffled prior to conducting an example battle.

In addition to the Half Decks, the XY Trainer Kit also contained two booklets to guide players through the game, an exclusive deck box, a rulebook, damage counters, status counters, a coin featuring the Kalos first partner Pokémon, a playmat, and a code card to unlock the cards in the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online. Redeeming the code card also unlocked the digital Mindbind Theme Deck, a combination of both Half Decks into a full 60-card deck.

Flashfire Blisters

Flashfire featured its own set of blister packs, which were released alongside the expansion on May 7, 2014. Four different blister packs were available: a pair of Three Pack Blisters and a pair of Single Pack Checklane Blisters. The Three Pack Blisters, available in North America for the first time since Boundaries Crossed, featured the original paperboard-backed packaging instead of the plastic clamshell first utilized in the range of Black & White Blisters. As the name suggests, three Flashfire booster packs were available in each blister, along with a coin and either a Haxorus or a Machamp Cosmos Holofoil variant sourced from the Plasma Blast expansion.

The Single Pack Blisters featured one Flashfire pack, a coin, and either a Skiddo or Honedge Cosmos Holofoil XY Black Star Promotional card. The coin designs typically packaged in these blisters were large-sized, Black-backed, Silver Cracked Ice Holofoil ones featuring either Xerneas or Yveltal, though some included repackaged coins from earlier Theme Decks.

Bulbanews
Bulbanews has an article related to this subject:
Not to be confused with the Mega Evolution Collector's Pin Three Pack Blisters.

Being skipped for the Flashfire expansion, a trio of Mega Evolution-themed Pin Blisters was released in July 2014 to celebrate Mega Charizard and Mega Lucario, featured Pokémon for the two nearby sets, Flashfire and Furious Fists. According to retailer material, the blisters were originally planned for an August 2014 release, presumably to coincide with the launch of Furious Fists, and were set to contain three booster packs from each of the first three XY Series expansions. The earlier release resulted in the blisters including one XY pack and two Flashfire packs. The blisters were packaged with one of three possible pin designs: Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, or Mega Lucario.

Furious Fists Launch Kit

Bulbanews
Bulbanews has an article related to this subject:

A brand-new product that debuted with the Furious Fists expansion went by the name of Furious Fists Launch Kit. This kit contained two booster boxes worth of booster packs (72 in total), four copies of each Furious Fists Theme Deck, and a sealed pack of 16 promotional cards: eight each of Trevenant and Slurpuff available in the Furious Fists Blisters. The Furious Fists Launch Kit cost significantly more than most products due to the volume of items included and was intended more for places like card shops instead of for personal purchase.

Mega Charizard Box

In August 2014, a pair of boxes was made available in Western regions outside North America in place of the Mega Charizard Collection due to safety concerns with the promotional figures. In response to a survey held on The PokéGym, The Pokémon Company International designed a product named the Elite Trainer Deck Shields. The Autumn 2014 Regional Championships were the first large-scale events of the 2014-2015 Play! Pokémon tournament season. Six Regional Championships were held across North America over three consecutive weekends, beginning the weekend of October 4, 2014 and concluding on the weekend of October 18. These events offered exclusive merchandise to participants, winners, and staff. With the upcoming releases of both Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire and the Phantom Forces expansion, the merchandise featured the Hoenn first partner Pokémon Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip, as well as Mega Gengar and Mega Manectric.

Available by means of raffles, side-events, and more, a new playmat featuring the Mega Gengar Phantom Forces artwork by 5ban Graphics was released. Awarded to the Top 8 finishers of each age division was an exclusive Top 8 playmat featuring the 5ban Graphics artwork of Mega Manectric. This playmat has a Top 8 stamp in the bottom left corner. Staff of the event were given a Staff-stamped print of the same Mega Manectric playmat. Top finishers were also awarded packs of 65 exclusive Mega Gengar Play! Pokémon sleeves, as well as a Play! Pokémon deckbox featuring artwork of the two Mega Pokémon. Additionally, a trio of hats were made available in raffles, side-events, etc. These hats featured artwork of either Treecko, Torchic, or Mudkip. Each player was given an exclusive Crosshatch Holofoil print of Honedge from the XY expansion, with staff given a Staff-stamped print of the card for their services.

EX Power Trio Tins

Bulbanews
Bulbanews has an article related to this subject:

Early October 2014 brought to the Pokémon Trading Card Game a new trio of Pokémon-EX Tins, this time named the EX Power Trio Tins. These products featured prints of the Kanto first partner Pokémon Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise with alternate artwork to those originating from the Japanese Collection X (Venusaur-EX), Collection Y (Blastoise-EX), and Wild Blaze expansion (Charizard-EX). Each tin contained two Furious Fists booster packs, one Flashfire booster pack, one Plasma Blast booster pack, and a Pokémon TCG Online code card.

These tins received a re-release near the end of the XY Series during the holiday season. While the promotional cards remained the same, the pack selections were updated to include two Evolutions, one Fates Collide, and one BREAKpoint. The TCGO code cards similarly remained the same, providing only the promotional Pokémon-EX card and no additional special deck, unlike other tin code cards available at the time.

XY Knock Out Collection

Bulbanews
Bulbanews has an article related to this subject:

Initially released in Canadian Wal-Marts, and then to Rite-Aids in the United States, the XY Knock Out Collection promotional boxes each contained two booster packs, a coin, and three Cosmos Holofoil variant cards. The cards were the same as February 2014's XY Two Pack Blisters: the first features Dark Explorers Venusaur, Boundaries Crossed Charizard, and Plasma Blast Blastoise, while the second features Dragon Vault Dragonite, and Dragons Exalted Garchomp and Hydreigon. The booster packs came from XY and Flashfire, and the included coin was repackaged. The Blastoise, however, was printed with the correct copyright date of ©2013, while the original Cosmos Holofoil print listed ©2012.
