Bulbasaur's Trouble (Japanese: フシギダネこまったね Fushigidane in Trouble) is written by Akihito Toda and illustrated by Benimaru Itoh. It is the third book in the Pokémon Tales series (in both Japanese and English). It is 18 pages long.

Plot

A young boy decides he wants to catch a frog, while a young girl decides she wants to grow a tulip. The two set off into the forest to find what they want, but end up discovering a Bulbasaur and taking it home. The girl tries to water Bulbasaur with overly cold water, while the boy attempts to feed it flies, causing the two to get into a fight over how to care for it. Bulbasaur feels bad for making them fight and runs into the forest, and the next morning the two wake up to discover a frog and a tulip bulb in their yard. Seeing that the two are happy, Bulbasaur takes a nap, having stayed up all night to find the frog and bulb.

Blurb

Two children fight over Bulbasaur until the plucky Pokémon comes up with an ingenious plan to make peace between two young trainers.
