Release information

This card was included in the English EX Hidden Legends expansion with artwork by Mitsuhiro Arita, first released in the Japanese Undone Seal expansion. A special variant was released as a participation prize for the 2003-2004 Gym Challenge events, featuring the event logo. It was later reprinted with new artwork by the same artist as one of the Nintendo Black Star Promos, originating as one of the Japanese ADV-P Promotional cards. In Japan, it was distributed as an insert across several Shogakukan publications in February 2004: the Elementary School 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, and 4th Grade magazines. The English reprint was awarded as a prize to those who attended the Pokémon e-League during the Feather Season starting June 14, 2004. Winner versions of this card were also awarded, which feature a gold foil "Winner" stamp in the bottom right corner of the artwork.
