Slateport City
A Huge Discovery!
When you return to Slateport City, head to the northeast part of town. Outside the Slateport Harbor building, you find Captain Stern filming an interview with Gabby and Ty in front of a small crowd. Once they leave, he informs you that the most recent seafloor expedition made a huge discovery: an underwater cavern on Route 128! Stern believes it to be the habitat of a Pokémon said to have long been extinct. Just then, a voice addresses Captain Stern through a megaphone. It's MaxieR/ArchieS, announcing how his team will be taking control of Stern's submarine!
Slateport Harbor
Follow Stern into the building to find the boss and one of his subordinates. He sympathizes with you for the effort it took to follow him here from Mt. Pyre, but declares that no one can stop them. He wonders aloud if you will follow them back to their hideout in Lilycove City, then the two men board the submarine and make their escape. Stern asks why they would steal the submarine, believing that they can't possibly be after the slumbering Pokémon at the bottom of the sea...
Lilycove City
Lilycove City is located between Route 121 to the west and Route 124 to the east. The Lilycove Department Store and Lilycove Museum stand on a hill on the city's north side. The Cove Lily Motel, Master Rank Contest Hall, and Lilycove Harbor are found to the south. A large rock formation houses a cave just offshore.

City Under Siege
Several Grunts from Team MagmaR/Team AquaS can be seen loitering around the city. One of them even orders you not to go near the cave in the cove. Another blocks the waterway leading to Route 124 as he trains a group of Pokémon.
Pokémon Trainer Fan Club
The Pokémon Trainer Fan Club is located to the east of the Pokémon Center. Inside, members meet to discuss popular Pokémon Trainers and Gym Leaders. After you have entered the Hall of Fame, several members then announce themselves as fans of yours, as well.
Cove Lily Motel
The Cove Lily Motel can be found in the southeast part of town. With the presence of Team MagmaR/Team AquaS, most tourists have decided to stay away. The man who runs the motel can be seen on the first floor, watching a TV program. He wonders aloud if finding a cute Pokémon to use as a mascot will help draw in more patrons.
After entering the Hall of Fame, return to find the staff of Game Freak on the second floor. The group is touring the Hoenn region, and has just recently checked into the motel. Speak to the Game Designer after completing the Hoenn Pokédex to receive a Diploma celebrating the achievement!
Pokéblock Master's house
The house to the west of the motel belongs to a couple and their four children. The woman calls herself a master of Pokéblocks, and offers to teach you how to make the best candy.
- "If you look at Pokéblocks, you should see that they are rated on how they feel. The lower the feel rating, the better it is. Don't forget this! A good Pokéblock has a low feel rating and a high level. A Pokémon can eat more good Pokéblocks than ordinary ones, too. And this is important. If you want to make smooth Pokéblocks, use different kinds of Berries. Don't be stingy—the kinds of Berries affect the smoothness of Pokéblocks. And another thing. The more people blending Berries, the smoother the Pokéblocks. That's why you should talk to other people and make Pokéblocks together."
Rival Battle 4
May/Brendan can be found outside the Department Store building. The young Trainer offers a battle to determine which of you has been doing a better job of raising their Pokémon.

After the battle, you learn that your friend has been making good progress on the Pokédex, and plans to visit Littleroot Town again soon in order to show Professor Birch. SHe/He asks if you will be taking the Pokémon League challenge, and promises to complete the Pokédex while you're busy collecting Badges. The Trainer then uses Fly to leave the city.
Lilycove Department Store
The Lilycove Department Store is the largest shop in Hoenn. Nearly any item a Trainer could want can be found here.
1F: Service Counter
The first floor holds the service counter. There are two receptionists: the one on the left greets visitors, while the one on the right runs the Pokémon Lottery Corner.
Lottery Corner
All visitors may draw a single Pokémon Loto Ticket per day. If the Loto Ticket's number matches the full ID number of any of their Pokémon, they win the grand prize. The five-digit number is generated randomly. Other prizes are awarded for partial matches.
Matching Digits | Prize | |
---|---|---|
2 digits | PP Up | |
3 digits | Exp. Share | |
4 digits | Max Revive | |
5 digits | Master Ball | |
2F: Trainers' Zone
The Trainers' Zone is found on the second floor. Everyday items like Great Balls and Super Potions are offered here.
|
3F: Battle Collection
The Battle Collection occupies the third floor. The clerk on the left offers permanent stat-enhancing items. The clerk on the right offers temporary stat-enhancing items.
|
4F: TM Corner
The TM Corner can be found on the fourth floor. Several valuable Technical Machines are offered here.
|

The Rooftop Plaza houses a pair of vending machines.

Lilycove Museum
The Lilycove Museum stands in the northwest part of town. It holds a collection of statues and sculptures, and a wide array of paintings. There is no charge for admission. The first floor houses the main exhibit hall. A special gallery is located on the second floor.
The Curator's Request
The curator can be found in front of the stairs to the upper floor. He is happy to see someone as young as you visiting the museum, and asks if you have viewed their collection of paintings yet. Agree, and he recognizes you as a Trainer, and asks if you are interested in paintings, as well. Agree again, and he escorts you to the second floor.
The man points out the empty spaces on the walls. He would like to display something different here than the classical works on the lower floor, and decides to look for modern and vibrant paintings instead. Seeing that you are young and well-traveled, he points out that you will likely encounter such artwork, and asks that you obtain the artist's permission to display it here. If you win a Master Rank Pokémon Contest with a score of at least 800 points, you will be approached by an artist. He explains that he has just completed a painting that may even look good in a museum, at which point you will direct him here. Collect one painting for each of the five Contest categories, and the curator will reward you with a Glass Ornament for your Secret Base.
Move Deleter's house
The first house to the east of the Department Store belongs to a man known as the Move Deleter. Using his free service allows a Pokémon to forget one of its moves. This is especially useful for removing moves taught by HM, as they would normally be permanent.
A Berry A Day
A Gentleman can be found taking a stroll in the northeast part of the city. Speak to him each day to receive a Berry. Possible varieties include Cheri, Chesto, Pecha, Rawst, Aspear, Leppa, Oran, Persim, Lum, and Sitrus. The type received is determined randomly.
