Commander Yaza (Japanese: ヤザ司令) is a villain in the Pokémon RéBURST manga. He is a member of the Great Gavel Organization.
History
Yaza first appears after Ryouga beats several grunts while attempting rescue several kidnapped Pokémon. He attacks Ryouga with his ararebo, sending him flying and is shocked to find out that he came out alive. He commands his subordinates to attach his ararebo to a cage filled with Template:Type2 Pokémon; his weapon steals their life force to catch fire, giving it more strength.
With his stronger weapon, Yaza easily overpowers Ryouga and goes in for the kill. Before he can finish him off, Ryouga is saved by Miruto, who threw a smoke bomb to blind Yaza. While Ryouga and Miruto discuss what to do, Yaza grabs a little girl and threatens to kill her if Ryouga doesn't come out to fight him.
Ryouga comes out and pulls out his Burst Heart to use Burst, combining with the Legendary Zekrom. Yaza immediately recognizes the technique and nervously tries to attack Ryouga but only has his weapon broken in the process. Ryouga takes the opportunity to send Yaza flying into a building, defeating him.
Weapon
Yaza uses an ararebo as his weapon of choice. By using the life force of Template:Type2 Pokémon, it can be set on fire, greatly increasing its strength and damaging capablities.
