This card was released as a Cosmos Holofoil SVP Black Star Promo and was available in the Journey Together Three Pack Blisters from March 28, 2025. In Japan, it was one of eight SV-P Promotional cards available in Pokémon Card Gym Promo Card Pack 7, which was distributed at Pokémon Card Gym venues able to do so from July 19, 2024. This card features the Pokémon Card Gym logo.

Trivia

This card forms a narrative illustration with the SV-P Promotional Yanma from the same Promo Card Pack. Following the illustration in the Yanma card, the Yanma has evolved into Yanmega, and flies away leaving the pond.
