Wilbur

Wilbur (Japanese: 飛太 Tobio) is a character of the day who appeared in Fly Me to the Moon.

Wilbur lives on Pudgy Pidgey Isle, and is the sole caretaker of all the Pidgey who live there. Out of all the Pidgey on the island, the one he is closest to is Orville. Unlike the other Pidgey, Orville had a desire to fly as high as he could. Wilbur promised to help Orville achieve that goal.

Joined by Ash, his friends, and Team Rocket, Wilbur flew in a hot air balloon behind Orville when he made his attempt to fly to the moon. Although Wilbur wasn't able to follow his friend all the way, he kept in contact with Orville the entire way. When Orville fell due to lack of oxygen, Wilbur and Pikachu saved his life.

After Orville's flight, the other Pidgey began to show signs of flying. Wilbur hoped that thanks to Orville, the other Pidgey on the island would get into shape and start flying too.
