The Wii mini is the smallest revision for the Wii. It was released in Canada on December 7, 2012, in Europe on March 15, 2013 (with the exception of the United Kingdom, where it was released on March 22, 2013), and in the United States on November 17, 2013; it was not been released in Japan, however.
It was discontinued worldwide on November 13, 2017.
Comparison to the original Wii
- Like the Wii Family Edition, the Wii mini is incompatible with Nintendo GameCube games or hardware like the original model was.
- This model is missing online features and several built-in channels, such as the Photo Channel and the Weather Channel, similar to the Wii Mode on the Wii U.
- There is no SD card slot, restricting the console to only playing games from Wii game discs.
- The Wii mini can only sit horizontally.
- There is only one USB port.
- The Wii mini can only use composite video cables, rather than the S-Video and component video cables used by the original Wii.

Most Wii games are released on the Wii's own 12cm discs. There are four known games that feature Pokémon.
