In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness, Whismur can be found in The Nightmare and Zero Isle South. However, as Pokémon can not be recruited in those dungeons, it is impossible to add Whismur to the team under normal circumstances. Whismur may still ask to join after completing a mission for it, such as in the one from the following Wonder Mail code:
- KMFJ =4&T =686
- 5N2W #J%8 +P@5
- Objective: Rescue Whismur on floor 1 of Beach Cave.
