Water Absorb (Japanese: ちょすい Water Storage) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. Twenty-one Pokémon have this Ability, all but three of them are Water types.
Effect
In battle
Water Absorb heals one quarter of the user's maximum HP when hit with a Water-type attack. Therefore, the user does not take damage from Water-type moves. If the user has full HP, a message appears saying: "<Pokémon's name>'s Water Absorb made <name of Water-type move> useless!
Outside of battle
Water Absorb has no effect outside of battle.
