The Water type is one of the ten TCG types. It is represented by the color blue.

The Water type contains all Water- and Ice-type Pokémon found in the main series video games. For example, Blastoise, Articuno and Piloswine are all Water types in the TCG.

Battle properties

Generally, Water Pokémon have a weakness to:

• Grass (if the Pokémon is a Water-type in the video games)
• Lightning (if the Pokémon is a Water-type in the video games)
• Fighting (if the Pokémon is an Ice-type in the video games)
• Metal (if the Pokémon is an Ice-type in the video games)

These types are generally weak to Water Pokémon:

• Fire
• Fighting (if the Pokémon is a Ground- or Rock-type in the video games)

These types are generally resistant to Water Pokémon:

• Grass
• Colorless (if the Pokémon is a Dragon-type* in the video games)
