Wayne (Japanese: ハヤテ Hayate) is a one-time character in the Pokémon Adventures manga who appeared in VS. Skarmory during the Gold, Silver & Crystal. A skilled Trainer, he is a friend of Cianwood City's Gym Leader, Chuck. Considered a vagabond, he prefers traveling around instead of settling down in one place. He has a feather he holds in his mouth, like hard-boiled characters typically do with a strand of grain, and wears goggles. Chuck seems to have a very high opinion of him, even claiming him to be "strong enough to beat any Gym Leader around" and that he "could easily become a Gym Leader". Little else is known about him.

Walker quickly reveals himself to still be alive and helps Chuck face Suicune.
