Vespiquen (Japanese: ビークイン Beequeen) is a dual-type Bug/Flying Pokémon.
It evolves from female Combee at level 21.
Biology
Physiology
Vespiquen is a three-foot-tall bee Pokémon with a yellow and black striped abdomen that resembles a skirt. Its abdomen can serve as a nest for baby Combee. It has black, skinny arms with two orange claws and flies with a pair of small (compared to her body) wings on her shoulders. She has an orange face with red eyes, a red gem on her forehead and yellow and black "horns".
Gender differences
Vespiquen is female only.
Special abilities
Vespiquen has three separate signature moves that involve summoning a swarm of baby Combee, which she stores in her honeycomb-like lower abdomen. One is for Template:M2, the second is for Template:M2 and the third is for Template:M2.

Trivia

Origin
Vespiquen is based on queen bees and beehives, along with a combination of real queens.
Name origin
Its name is derived from the words vespa, both a genus name and Latin for wasp, and queen. The name Beequeen is derived from the word bee and queen, referring to the fact that only female bees can become the leader of a colony of bees. Its German name, Honweisel, comes from Hornisse and Weisel. Its French name, Apireine, comes from apis, latin for bee, and reine.
