Trivia
Origin
Venipede, like its species states, is based on a centipede. However, it is more similar in appearance to an arthropod in the Oniscidea suborder or of the Oniscomorpha superorder, like a pill bug or a pill millipede, respectively. More specifically, it was most likely based on a green Glomeris marginata (North American pill millipede).
Name origin
Venipede is a combination of venom and centipede or millipede. Fushide is most likely a combination of 節 fushi, joint/segment and ムカデ mukade, centipede.
