Revision as of 03:15, 28 December 2010

The requirements to become autoconfirmed are based on both your number of edits and how long you've been a member of the site. The exact requirements are a secret, so I can't tell you, sorry!
Feel free to ask me anything else, though. I check my messages daily.

I was wondering...

About how many edits does it take to be autoconfirmed? - unsigned comment from BeeBwakka (talkcontribs)

I don't know, and even if I did, I wouldn't be allowed to tell you anyways. We're keeping it a secret so people don't make exactly only enough edits to be autoconfirmed and then never edit again :P --ZestyCactus 03:03, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

I try to edit any time I see a chance to, and I wouldn't stop trying to become an active member on here. I do think that that is smart keeping it a secret. It also sorta helps against vandals, who wouldn't go through all of this initiation to vandalism, except the really devoted ones. --BeeBwakka 21:34, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

Requires Attention!

Would you be able to fix all the spelling errers on the List of Pokémon by National Pokédex number page. There are a lot of them like "Yoterii" and "Muuna". --EpicShadow 21:42, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

Image

Hey, I can upload the magnet image(s) if you wanna link me to them or something. Virtual-Z 06:08, 24 September 2010 (UTC)

I was planning to use this photo of them on my fridge. If you'd prefer, I can take a closer-up image with or without the packages (which I saved). --ZestyCactus 06:16, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
Looks good to me. Also, I love the idea of showing that the images we took, we took. Maybe we should look into that more. A picture of the package would be nice, though. And I can't upload right now, but I can tomorrow...long story short, I lost my key, am locked out of my house, and am at my mom's house for the night XD.Virtual-Z 07:11, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
Aww man I hope that worked out okay! D: anyways, glad you liked my idea haha, I originally did it just to be silly but I agree that it's kind of nice to show that photos we've taken were actually taken by us (when possible/realistic, I do like to scan/photograph my own images as opposed to a google image search). So this is the magnets close-up on my fridge and this is the magnets put back in the package (you can sorta tell its been opened but w/e) anyways just use whichever you like best :P --ZestyCactus 01:18, 25 September 2010 (UTC)

Guardian signs was said to be released October 5th in GA

I had asked several game shops and they had told me that it was not released until the 5th. Maybe it's different for different states? - 050294 04:11, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

Ah. Maybe it's released a day earlier in Canada? Some games I've seen have been released earlier in Canada then is released to the US. - 050294 04:14, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

Hi everybody

Thanks for the warm welcome. I was making some edits on Daburan-Rankurusu articles, on the origin sections. Hope my contributions can be constructive for the articles and the wiki itself. Apostlebird 05:19, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

Help, please.

This, please. Step right in, please.--444Zekrom 09:12, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

I'd help but I don't really know anything about the Dream World, sorry D: --ZestyCactus 19:40, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Quests

Given that the quest template we have was designed for SoA, it seems to be leaving redlinks. Would you be able to get me a picture of the quest details screen so I can make a new template for it? Quality doesn't matter too much. I'm assuming that there isn't an icon for the ranger points like there was for the rewards in SoA. Thanks in advance. Werdnae (talk) 19:36, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Is it okay if I just take a photo of it or something? --ZestyCactus 19:39, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Yep. A photo of a DS fine. Werdnae (talk) 20:02, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Okay cool :D top screen bottom screen --ZestyCactus 20:05, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Awesome. Thanks. Werdnae (talk) 20:09, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Your recent edit...

On the browser data for Elekid, you said it says

"It creates waves of electricity around it that make Pokémon Stopped."

O_o... really? --+ Joeshie + (is Mæ!) 06:33, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

Yep, that's the browser entry in the game. What about it? --ZestyCactus 07:04, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
It's just that make Pokemon Stopped sounds kinda funny. --+ Joeshie + (is Mæ!) 03:05, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
"Stopped" is a status condition in SoA and GS. Saying it makes the Pokémon stop would imply that it was something different. Werdnae (talk) 03:43, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

My user page

A while back you edited my user page [1] to change "Endeavour" to "Endeavor". Endeavour is the British spelling, and there is a redirect to the page (which has the American spelling) to reflect that. Please don't change my spelling because it doesn't match your dialect, that's just rude. :\ --Poppy :3 13:53, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

I think at the time I changed it there may not have been a redirect. I only edit other users's pages if it's causing an unwanted link on Special:WantedPages. Sorry if I have offended you by doing this. --ZestyCactus 05:48, 20 October 2010 (UTC)

Auto-confirm...?

I have edited a few pages, I think 3..? On Bulbapedia, yet I still cannot edit my userpage. I am pretty sure I haven't been blocked (at least I hope not) as I don't think any of my edits have done anything wrong, except for a slight misunderstanding between myself an another user about Psyduck. :P. Anyway, I was wondering what the problem might be, and if you could fix it. Thanks! Whitsoxrule 02:59, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

You haven't been blocked, don't worry ^^ all I know is that you need to make a certain number of edits as well as be a member of the wiki for a certain length of time, so maybe you have met one criteria but not the other. I suppose just keep editing when you can and surely you will be autoconfirmed soon. --ZestyCactus 03:03, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

I suppose 5 days isn't long enough.=) OK I'll just wait. Thanks! Whitsoxrule 17:33, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

If by wait you mean wait for it to happen just from being a member for however long you will have been, it won't work. You need to make enough edits for you to be auto-confirmed. I know it seems like it takes a while but it happens. --BeeBwakka 21:33, 22 October 2010 (UTC)

Bozz?

Hi Zesty, I have a question about Pokemon Adventures, and I read you were the person to come to. So, there's a camper that appeared in PS076, and a previous chapter helping Blaine train. He has a Haunter, and looks really similar to Bozz, the person who Blue gave his Lapras to in a Flashback chapter. Is this him? Thanks! Littlmiget123 21:44, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

What am I? Chopped liver? Yes it's him He and William make regular appearances in Johto and Kanto (FRLG) too Ataro 21:46, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
Oh, okay. Thank you Ataro! ^^ Littlmiget123 21:49, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
XD thanks Ataro :P --ZestyCactus 01:12, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

Is this a wrong place to complain?

Well.. Stuffs that my post on talk page of alakazam was deleted by Pokelova. The post was as he said on the reason thingy more than an year late. But still. I found no mention that it was against rules or something. And yep, the comment was constructive, atleast i think so. Soo, i know that wikis have some thing that saves the comments and stuff so it could be returned. And .. Well.. I'd want my post back.. ... ...And i wanted to complain.. Um. Now that i've had my angst about it, the real thing i wanted to ask: Is it wrong to reply on old comments. And if it is, why? ... Well i read the comments that people have sent you, and i think i should have told some other admin, as there were no angryposts on your page. Lumin 16:59, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Well, it's outlined on Bulbapedia:Talk page that replies to comments older than six months will be deleted. The reason for this is mostly that people previously engaged in or interested in the discussion will not be watching for new replies. Secondly, your replies were mostly speculation so while they weren't spam, it's not anything that could have been added to the main article, either. As for why there are no "angry posts" on my page, I guess i'm just too darned nice XD anyways hope i answered your question ^^' --ZestyCactus 01:41, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

Regarding APNG menu sprites...

Is there any particular reason that they can't be GIF files, thus allowing a significantly larger portion of the community to see them as they were intended? APNG doesn't do anything that GIF can't when it comes to such simple graphics, so I'm confused as to why this practice was ever adopted in the first place. Any enlightenment would be much appreciated. Hexagon Theory 07:38, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

I believe the rationale is that .gifs are more likely to be stolen from other websites and that the .gif format has a more limited colour palette... but I'm not really entirely sure, since I wasn't around when the decision was made. You might be best off asking Jello or someone else involved with the Archives. --ZestyCactus 23:36, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

I don't know....

Should Pokémon who use thier Japanese voice actors in English and Japanese should be like this (I'll use Pikachu as an example): Ikue Ohtani ? - unsigned comment from Cool469 (talkcontribs)

What's the context? I know for Pokémon articles, the usual statement is "Its voice actor in both English and Japanese is [whoever]." --ZestyCactus 03:17, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

Ok. Keep the statement. Cool469 03:24, 13 November 2010 (UTC)*

Artworks?

I'm kinda curious about the change in the Johto Pokemon's artwork on their pages. It changed to their Gold and Silver artwork, and a lot of those aren't even there, leaving a '150xx' in its place (Houndoom for example). That means the file isn't there, right? Do you know why the pages aren't showing the HG/SS artwork? Littlmiget123 20:02, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

Today is the anniversary of Gold and Silver's release in Japan. For anniversaries like this we often switch to the old artwork for the day, just for fun haha. The ones like Houndoom with missing artwork... well, believe it or not, i think we're actually just missing the GS artwork for those :S probably its all the Gen II Pokémon who got updated art in FRLG. --ZestyCactus 20:10, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
I had thought of that, but I thought the anniversary for G/S happened last month because of the Mew event, so I kinda crossed that out of my memory. Okay then, thanks for answering my question, Zesty. ^^ Littlmiget123 20:14, 21 November 2010 (UTC)

?

Could I use a feed from bulbanews on my wiki?

Adventures 10

Any copy out yet? I saw a user adding the names for the rounds but not Crystal. --CoolPikachu! 01:43, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

Yeah i saw that too. i looked for it yesterday but i couldn't find it anywhere. will be looking for it tomorrow. --ZestyCactus 04:58, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

Roundying the corners up.

Hi, sorry to disturb you, but I recently modified these templates from the original templates so anybody with the proper permissions can replace it, it's mainly for aesthetic changes, and nothing was significantly changed. I was wondering if you could replace them. Thank you. Masatoshi: Gen. II>All. Discuss. 06:25, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

All done. —darklordtrom 07:58, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
Thanks trom. --ZestyCactus 16:19, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Relevant TCG Terminology

Just wanting to know if I erroneously defined the term "donk". It is not a term I favor but one I hear often enough in TCG discussions. While doing a search, I noticed Shuppet Donk as one of the articles on the site and that the term "donk" is used in multiple articles but not defined. Unless they define it in the instruction booklet, it would seem a relevant term to explain.

If I failed to follow guidelines, I apologize and will have to re-read the sites policy, though if you would point it out I would appreciate it. The explanation on the actual page was "delete|is this REALLY necessary?", making it seem like the article is just undesired. Of course, the automatic bits of the website still ask me if I would like to create the page when I search for the term.

Thank you.

Otakutron 20:32, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Ah, now that I post it here, the code actually becomes the explanatory graphic. So I did make a mistake. I would love knowing in detail so I did not repeat the offense, because as I already explained, its a term relevant to the TCG, not explained in the instructions, and personally was an annoyance until I deduced and later confirmed what it meant with others when I returned from a hiatus.

Otakutron 20:39, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

Well, as you may have noticed, the delete template put it in the category of Pages to be deleted, and after quickly looking at it it didnt seem important (I've never heard of the term personally) so I went and deleted it. I still doubt its notability just because I've never heard of the term (so idk if it's at all widely used) and I've never seen articles for similar fan terminology in the TCG. To be frank though I'm not quite the best person to ask about TCG notability, you'd get a better answer from Maverick Nate, the leader of Project TCG. --ZestyCactus 16:19, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

I'll give werdnae a break and ask you

I'm pretty sure this page isn't supposed to be in the categories it's in. --Bee § Bwakka 04:00, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, faulty link...this one works http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/User:GoldenZekrom --Bee § Bwakka 04:02, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
Looks like Werd did it anyways XD --ZestyCactus 16:19, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Pokémon Yellow Comic

That was my best work and you deleted it. Why? Especially on Christmas. It was very notable. Pokedex493 14:49, 25 December 2010 (UTC)

Me and the other administrators made a decision to delete it because none of us had ever heard of it and we try not to have a lot of articles on fan comics and fan sites except for the very most popular ones. If you'd like, I can restore the article and move it to your userspace or something (like at User:Pokedex493/Pokémon Yellow Comic) so you can still have it. You are making good edits, you just need to keep an eye on notability :) Merry Christmas, --ZestyCactus 15:03, 25 December 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. I would like to have an area on my userpage for the Pokémon Yellow Comic. Merry Christmas to you too. Pokedex493 23:58, 25 December 2010 (UTC)
Tis been moved to User:Pokedex493/Pokémon Yellow Comic. Cheers. --ZestyCactus 05:12, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. I owe you one. Pokedex493 05:26, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

Friend Codes

I saw you have some Friend Codes. Do you do battles, trades, or both? Because maybe we could do one of the two. Pokedex493 03:01, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

I dont really do battles but I could trade. Do you need anything? --ZestyCactus 03:15, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
