As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:
- For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.
- The manual of style is very important. Make sure to read it. It outlines all official policies of Bulbapedia.
- The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The P, of course, is accessed easily by holding Shift and pressing the P key, while the é can be accessed using Alt + 130 or Alt + 0233 on a Windows computer, and Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can click it in the character palette below the editbox.
- The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a captial B (which is, again, accessed by holding Shift and pressing the B key). The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
- The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.
- On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
- The use of link templates is official policy. For an explanation on their use, see the page on shortlinks.
- If you happen to spot a vandal in the recent changes that has not been dealt with, please see this page for how to deal with it.
- A list of pages that are linked to, but have not been created, can be found at this page. A list of short articles that may require more information can be found here, while a list of articles that need improvement can be found here.

Well, first thing you have to do is go here. That's it, I think, I had to use other sources as well (because my Wiki Skills are useless XD). But don't forget, on your preferences, check the little box named: Raw signatures (without automatic link) TESHIGIGAS 18:43, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Talk pages
Please don't reply to really old talk page comments as the people who started the discussion probably resolved it a long time ago (and even if they didn't, they won't be checking it). Besides, sometimes the discussion can be really out of date, like in your case (the template for Canada is Bibarel now... 'cause the beaver is our national animal. :P) Thanks! Signature
FYI, Bulbapedia's signature policy requires that a user's signature contain a link to their user page (and recommends one to their talk page as well). Tiddlywinks (talk) 23:26, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
yea.. see I used to have a signature with both of these.. but then there were some "signature templates" that were disallowed and I think mine has been deleted or something? it was a few years ago as you can see on my page here. sadly I don't really know what to do. my "signature" thing in preferences is completely blank, and that ought to make my signature be completely default I thought, you know? it'd be great if you could tell me exactly what is allowed in signatures these days and how I should make that happen. like images and Japanese script? or just default exactly like yours. thanks. --ZaphodBeeblebrox 23:35, 10 February 2015 (UTC)
