21st Century Publishing House

Can you say what 21st Century Publishing House exactly is, which Pokemon media did they translate and what area they operate on? --Maxim (talk) 11:44, 15 August 2014 (UTC)

I was informed that it's a publishing house in Mainland China that had translated several manga based on the original series and a few Pokédex guidebooks (covering up to Hoenn). It seems that most of the names they have used are consistent with Taiwanese translation, with some exceptions such as the islands in the Orange Islands. --超龍Chao 13:32, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
"Manga based on the Original Series". You mean the anime-screenshots-with-speech-bubbles comics? --Maxim (talk) 14:06, 15 August 2014 (UTC)
Sure,It's screenshots-with-speech-bubbles comics.Asuna 14:07, 15 August 2014 (UTC)

Chinese names

Hey, where did you get these Chinese names? To my knowledge, Stadium and Gold/Silver/Crystal have never been released in Chinese. Were they featured in the anime or manga at some point? --SnorlaxMonster 14:09, 23 July

Qingwing publish the guide book about the Crystal.Asuna 09:47, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

PC's Chinese names

I can see that you recently added Chinese names for some Playable Characters from the games. What is the source for those names? As far as I'm concerned, not all of those characters appear in Masters (for example, Nate doesn't). --Maxim (talk) 08:16, 3 August 2019 (UTC)

Although not appear in the game, but the name of Nate can be found in Master data.Asuna 09:46, 11 August 2019 (UTC)

Old guys

Just to be sure - what medium do the Chinese names for Old guys that you submitted originate from? ORAS wasn't localized to Chinese and those guys never appeared in any medium like anime or mangas. So, is it from a Strategy Guide or other publication of some sort? --Maxim (talk) 13:07, 23 March 2021 (UTC)

Images

Hi, thanks for uploading the official anime images. I would just like to ask you a small favor, if possible, you host them under their own names and not as a new version of old images. For example, Cynthia's you uploaded with the name of an image that uses the nomenclature of a specific episode, when so, use something especially for that image. Because this image will have to be moved to a more suitable name in the future.

This is just a suggestion to make it easier, because sometimes the images have more than one use and when it is uploaded this way it can get in the way of other articles. But thanks again for the images you get for the site, I hope I'm not being rude in any way.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 14:03, 27 May 2022 (UTC)

Agreed. I don't think the JN083 image should have been replaced entirely (and the official artwork isn't from that episode). PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 14:06, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
Additionally, the Iris Champion screenshot from the anime should not have been overwritten either (especially since it affects the JN065 page). PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 14:16, 27 May 2022 (UTC)

Artworks

Hey! I just wanted to tell you this. Good job on updating the character artworks! The scan quality is great. Do they come from guides (Western or Japanese)? I didn't even realize that the Battle Chatelaines have different arts in XY and ORAS, especially that their Battle portraits are the same in all games and they seem to be based on those "ORAS" artworks (which basically means that they were both made for XY, I wonder why they made two different versions, though. The "XY" ones look much better, also). Do you plan on refreshing the character artworks from older games as well (some really need that), or don't have the material for that? --Maxim (talk) 08:44, 25 June 2022 (UTC)

I saw that on the archives, S2daam had uploaded the "ORAS" artwork on the 15th of January, before the release of ORAS, and also said this when they uploaded the "ORAS" ones, and I quote: "No idea why the official guidebook had such terrible quality artwork for these..." Give that another user had uploaded the "XY" artwork as seperate files, this indicates that the "ORAS" artwork is actually the primary XY artwork, although I am not sure on how to prove it.--MissDelibirda (talk) 08:12, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
