Typebattle template title "Resist" is mathematically inaccurate with current values. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Template:Typebattle Saying resist is mathematically incorrect if you keep the numbers as multiplication values. Its valid for the 1/2x part since when you resist half the damage you take the other half. However you are not resisting 2x the damage. That would be the same as resisting 200% of the attack. Resisting 100% or more would result in taking no damage at all. Resisting 0% would mean that you are resisting no damage and therefore taking 100% of the initial amount. If you want to stick with the values being multipliers to the original attack i would recommend you to use another word like multiplyer, power or effectiveness.
