Hey since you're the leader of Project Games I should probably confide in you about this. The Royal Unova trainers pre-Hall of Fame are missing their Easy/Challenge Mode stats. They were initially missing their post-Hall of Fame stats but I fixed that. Can you help me in adding in the info for the trainers in the Royal Unova pre-Hall of Fame? I can't seem to find the statistics anywhere and it's too late for my game since I already beat it. == Just notifying an admin about a protected template being incorrect ==
Template talk:User sv – there's a notice about problems with the template from another user. That was posted in July and no one had noticed it, so I thought I'd go tell an admin. As someone who studied Swedish for five years, I support everything he said. Vaehran (talk) 10:27, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
== A J/E lyrics template ==
When you've got pages like Pokémon Sandwich (with 3 columns), toi et moi (left aligned and with 2 columns), and Can You Name All the Pokémon? BW#Lyrics (centered and only 2 columns), the difference can be kind of glaring. It would be great if all J/E lyrics had a standard format, and the best way to do that is of course with a template.
I've taken the liberty of making a JELyrics template, and I've put it on the Can You Name All the Pokémon? BW page for the first set of lyrics. If you compare the version with the template to the version without, you'll see that they're exactly the same...except a newline at the end that I was lazy about.
I want to put that template on all Japanese song pages to standardize J/E lyrics, and as head of Project Music, I thought it might be good to ask your approval before I went and did that everywhere. (Although, honestly, I'm not sure I'll sustain great enthusiasm for it for long. But still, if you approved the template, at least other people could use that to add standardized J/E lyrics in the future (or update extant lyrics).)
I also wasn't sure if I "should" create a template in the mainspace, though it seems I could have. So if this template is actually going to be put to use, you or I should probably move it. If you approve the template (and don't move it yourself - and also don't say it shouldn't be moved), I'll take that as tacit acknowledgement that the template would be fine to move into the mainspace and do so. :I discovered that putting userspace templates in the mainspace is actually not acceptable, so I've now put examples of my template in action at Bulbapedia:Sandbox#Japanese-English lyrics template. I've written some flavor text there, so you can just check it out. (And: a quick link to my JELyrics template page itself again, which also links to the header and footer.) == Victory Road "references" ==
I see that it was you who added links to several VAs and other people involved with Pokemon anime and games in Japan in the Victory Road (Kalos) articles. However, I deleted those links as I deemed them as too vague. Those names aren't anything out of ordinary, those are all normal Japanese given names and it's no wonder that you can find people named Shin, Megumi, Unshou etc. among thousands of people involved in production of Pokemon anime and games. Not to mention that some of the figures you alluded to seem unlikely to be referenced in a Pokémon game. On top of all, there is no reason to believe in those references aside from the names. And the names alone aren't enough, in my opinion. If the creators of the game indeed wanted to reference those VAs and other people, they would probably give them Pokémon that could allude to these people (for example, the Trainer named Shin'ichirou would have a Meowth or Persian, Shōko would be probably given an Electric-type team etc.) but it's apparently not the case. So, I think it's better not to jump into such far conclusions and delete the links, unless we get a good reason to think otherwise. If I had checked whether the information has been added by an admin, I wouldn't delete it without notifying you first. But I hope that you aren't angry at me for that. --Maxim (talk) 16:10, 16 February 2014 (UTC)
:At the very least, the Shokotan reference is confirmed by Shoko Nakagawa herself. The Weavile is one she used as a trump card in battles over more than seven years. Considering that, it's likely that there are more matching references too, though not directly acknowledged, possibly only obvious to the exact people they're referencing. Also, not all those names are exactly that common - there are only two Japanese people named Unshou listed in the entirety of the Japanese wikipedia, and one of the two died over 100 years ago. Google results return overwhelmingly in favour of the Unshou known in Pokemon too. There's also much more obvious references, such as a Rica who has a Pikachu, Mamoru who has a Pansage, and Aoi who has an Axew, so there are definitely references to be found. The Pokémon games article, which lists all the Pokemon games, lists the games by their first release date. I was thinking that it would be better to rename the section as Release Date and include both JP and US dates. Also the page is a bit long, the tables could be made expandable ones as an alternative. It'll be better for scrolling. Please let me know if these suggestions are good. →✓<span style="color:blue">Pika</span><span style="color:red">Tepig</span><span style="color:green">999</span>✓ 18:42, 13 May 2014 (UTC)
== DP149 == | |||
Hello, I would like your confirmation on a certain subject. In this episode in the japanese dub, it basically confirms that pokemon of the same gender are unable to act that way (being attracted to each other) normally (like in the games). Brock says this when looking at Pikachu and Piplup.
But, I was watching a subbed version of the episode though.
Still, I decided to listen carefully about what he was saying. While staring at Pikachu and Piplup, he mentions to the others that pokemon with the same (onaji) something being impossible (arienai) to act that way. The only thing about Pikachu and Piplup being the same is their gender, so I thought it was correct. Plus, the machine that made the pokemon act that way manipulates the move attract to make even pokemon of the same gender able to feel the affect like for example, a female Skitty would with a male Skitty that used attract.
Stll though, can I have your confirmation about it anyway just to be sure?-- --<span style="color:red">Handmaiden 101</span> <small>(<span style="color:red">tAlk</span>)</small> 11:52, 5 June 2015 (UTC) |
