Talk Page Archiving

How can I archive my talk page? LugiaPwns 21:48, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

You use the move tab next to "history" Turtwig A Contributions Talk 21:49, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. LugiaPwns 21:58, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Wait, but what types of archive names can I use? It says that my archive name was invalid. LugiaPwns 22:03, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
User talk:LugiaRocks/Archive 1 for one, or User talk:LugiaRocks/1 and User talk:LugiaRocks/First archive. You can also move it to those aforementioned ones except in the user namespace. Turtwig A Contributions Talk 22:05, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Okay. Thanks. But, are those the only ones I can use? I wanted to do this: User talk:LugiaRocks/Archive #1: A New Beginning. Is that possible? LugiaRocks Talk Contributions 22:11, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
It's invalid because it has a # in it, though it can be moved to that without a #. Turtwig A Contributions Talk 22:12, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Too late, I win. You're gonna have to stick with the plain name I'm afraid. —darklordtrom 22:14, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
Yay I fixed it! Thanks for the help Turtwig A and Trom! LugiaRocks Talk Contributions 22:18, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

I'll make it

I will make the article then. Arilegolego

Thanks Wig A

Thanks. I made it to look like the links to my page talk and contributions in the recent changes and watchlist. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 22:13, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Sorry about that :(. I forgot to change it back. -LugiaRocks (TalkEdits) 22:20, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Since the title says 'Thanks' and since I do not think that this is a matter that will require a new, unique section, I shall presume that this section can be used as your 'Thanks Turtwig A' box. (If you differ and prefer to state that this statement requires alternative organization, I give you permission to do so--if you require permission, anyway)
I know that I have been exploding in information for the Project Books section of Project Merchandise, particularly the Pokémon Reader collection. Actually, since I knew you made comments about why no other user bothered to change the list after an article was made or changed, after making the synopsis for 'The Haunted Gym' I thought to add it myself, for your convenience. However, when I checked the editing portion, it appeared that you added it yourself previously. Thus, I come here to thank you, a virtual Shaymin-for-your-thoughts, for adding the proper formatting when I did not (or did it with more promptness when I attempted to). I also plan for my next synopsis to be for 'Togepi Springs into Action', so whoever adds it to the list first...Steph 19:08, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, but you're the one that needs the thanks for creating those articles and adding the proper synopsises. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 19:12, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

Hey

I've been doing this forever. Well, not literally, but longer than you have... see EP001. Spoilers done. ht14 03:43, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Give me at least a reasonable example doing so, and I'll stop. ht14 03:45, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
DP001. It lists Ambipom as Ash's Aipom and not Dawn's Ambipom. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 03:46, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Bad example. Aipom didn't evolve yet, so it hasn't been repaired. Additionally, Aipom was still under Ash's ownership. EP001 lists Fearow, not Spearow. ht14 03:47, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
But Charmeleon wasn't a Charizard at that time either. Also, I was told here that they shouldn't be changed until the round/episode they evolve. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 03:49, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Ok. Understood. Just next time tell me earlier about handling that situation... thanks. ht14 03:52, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Sapphire's age

Sapphire turned 11 at the end of the fourth chapter; the sixth chapter took place in July the next year, making Emerald newly 11 and Sapphire almost 12.

I'm going to be reverting back to the edit I made; I don't want this to turn into an edit war, so I thought I should explain in detail. 梅子 04:24, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Ok. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 13:33, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

"You"

Second person is not allowed. Bulbapedia isn't a guide or walkthrough, so we use third-person (one) instead of second (you). LordArceus 02:05, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

I know that. I even changed "you" into "the player" on several occasions. The only reason I changed it was because I thought the description itself said "you". Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 02:07, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
Those aren't quotes from the game. CuboneKing 02:08, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
I know. It said it was from the official website. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 02:13, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
I got rid of that notice. CuboneKing 02:15, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Userspace

Do not edit my userspace again. As you might have seen if you had bothered to look, I have told the other user who notified me already that I will remove it as soon as I am able. LordArceus 02:16, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Sorry. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 02:16, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
The 3 a day rule doesn't exist anymore- go make a handful of mainspace contribs and you'll be fine. CuboneKing 02:17, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
If you noticed, LordArceus only edited it once today. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 02:18, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Twice, actually, and I edited a Bulbapedia Project page. But, it seems, that rule is void. So I'll get rid of that now. LordArceus 02:19, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

I wasn't counting the revert. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 02:19, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Please...

You've been making too many edits to the User talk: namespace lately. Please take your conversations to the forums, a chatroom, e-mail, an IM service, or something similar, as that many edits will slow down the server. --MaverickNate 02:21, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Sorry about that. This will be my last User talk page edit until I make some more mainspace edits. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 02:38, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Adventures Rounds

Next time you decide to reference serebii.net when writing an article for a round, such as PS351, please do not copy the names of the minor characters. Coronis is fond of inventing Western names for manga-only characters who lack dub names, and if Maxim sees one of these names used in a context that implies it's official, he freaks (unless, of course, Coronis and Chuang Yi think alike). If you lack any sort of reference to either the Japanese release or the Singapore release, it's best not to reference the names of any minor character, lest you want to get hit by an angry Maxim rage barrage...--Shiningpikablu252 15:22, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

Okay, even though I stopped writing articles for Pokémon Adventures rounds. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 20:45, 28 November 2009 (UTC)

It seemed like spam as all you were doing was putting a youtube video. Besides, those type of messages should go to Missingno. Master. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 22:52, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

Sorry to bother you

Don't worry. I'll help you. I just got rid of PMD3. CuboneKing (Planet CuboneBone Club) 20:21, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

That was the easy one. Now try PMD1 and 2. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 20:23, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
I'm doing PMD2 right now. Good luck. CuboneKing (Planet CuboneBone Club) 20:24, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm about to start my sixth. At least we're on the right path... CuboneKing (Planet CuboneBone Club) 21:26, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
Good thing the template was modified. Now the Pokémon pages in special:whatlinkshere are ones that have redirects not in a template. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 23:07, 7 December 2009 (UTC)

A Request for Particular Assignments

I have been stumped lately on what to edit. I suppose this is a good thing, since most of the Biology Sections on the Pokémon species pages that I edit thus should be complete, but as I am at a loss as to find specific assignments for myself, I ask if you know any pages in particular that could use my specialty. Since you are not experienced with the species pages yourself, this does not necessarily include them, but more so on the Book pages. For example, should a page count be added to all of the Pokémon books, or should that extra tidbit be removed from the Splashdown in Cerulean City page to make it better formatted? Should a blurb be added to Grovyle Trouble (as I happen to have that at the moment) and should the book Meet Ash (a Dorling Kindersley Readers book---actually informative considering its reading level) be added too, despite my thoughts that it may be a singular book and thus not able to be grouped among a series? Additionally, are there any particular pages that need grammar and spelling checks (as I am good with that)? I do not mean the old, rarely-edited pages---they are much too obscure for me to have data on them--but more specific ones.
Yes, every book needs an article and every book article needs information on its blurb. You can help by changing the redirects from "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 1" to "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue" or from "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2" to "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness". You could also help with walkthroughs that aren't completed, which can be found here. You could also create pages on the wanted pages. You could also add information on the Pokémon pages that have Mystery Dungeon information as NPCs. You can use special:Random just to find a random page. You can look at stubs and other incomplete articles. You can find errors for books and Pokémon episodes and add them to their article. There is tons of stuff to do, and many community Projects that even show what they need in there to-do lists or even a regular user's to-do lists.Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 18:48, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Actually, I finished the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 1 problem. CuboneKing (Planet CuboneBone Club) 19:04, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
There is still much more to be completed, such as the orphaned pages. Also, you could go to the bulbagarden archives or bulbanews. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 19:07, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for directing me, Turtwig A, in the way that you could. In this manner, I have discovered (and contributed to) the article for the character Dora from the episode Putting the Air Back in Aerodactyl! and, from that episode, shall soon add some information to the article for Farfetch'd. I have also finally been reminded that Secrets of the GS Ball is both a needed article, as listed, and that I happen to possess it. For this...do you have any idea why there is not an award for Project Merchandise? Do you know in what way it is not important enough? (mostly because the fact you have that shiny award of yours spurs me in a constructive manner to earn some kind of respectable award for myself, considering that I have contributed to the Merchandise area of Bulbapedia.) That question has been on my mind for some time, and an answer might make it stop floating around in there.
Probably because it isn't as important as the TCG or anime. There aren't many people in the Merchandise project. There isn't an award for walkthroughs either, or for Pokémon around the world. The Golden Bulbasaur awards are for the important stuff and for overall performance in Bulbapedia or the Bulbagarden Archives. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 01:12, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned pages

Redirects are not the way to get things off of the orphaned pages. Don't create the redirects until you actually link the pages from somewhere. If you don't, then it totally moots the point of the Orphaned pages. MaverickNate 23:29, 12 December 2009 (UTC)

Also, shipping is not to be linked from mainspace articles, or so I am told: so don't do it! MaverickNate 23:41, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for telling me. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 00:17, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
Shipping isn't to be linked directly from the articles. Meaning BackShipping is fine, but linking BackShipping is wrong. Luna Tiger * the Arc Toraph 00:54, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

Deletion

Always give a reason: {{delete|reason}} —darklordtrom 22:25, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

okay, I'll be sure to do that on pages that should be deleted from now on. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 22:26, 13 December 2009 (UTC)

Questions about the project

I have two questions...

  • How am I supposed to find the alternate text of "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2"?
  • Are we supposed to get rid of the "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon" alt text for PMD1?

Thanks, CuboneKing (Planet CuboneBone Club) 05:53, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

Easy. For Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2, you simply search "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2" (with the quotes). Same thing for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, except you put "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon" instead of "Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 12:42, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

Wouldn't it be easier...

...to bother an admin, listing all that need to be move-protected than going to each page and manually writing in the talk page that it should be move-protected? ht14 15:45, 24 December 2009 (UTC)

So far I've only noticed 2, so I decided not to bother one until I've found many more. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 15:46, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
Well, you could skim through all of them and record it on a separate page... just an idea. ht14 15:49, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
I may try that if I find many more. But it doesn't seem like there is a lot. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 15:50, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
