By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Changes button... Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! --Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 01:31, 21 January 2012 (UTC)

GB Sounds glitch

Hi there. I noticed that you added the GB Sounds glitch to the List of glitches in Generation IV page. I replied to your thread on the forums. I am happy to discuss it on Bulbapedia too, if you would prefer. However, please do not re-add it until we can work out why I couldn't repeat it by following your instructions. --SnorlaxMonster 10:38, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

You must have got something wrong: I tried it again and again, and it kept happening. Here's a proof: the same thread in a forum in which it has been more successful, full of positive comments: http://serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?t=562438 Oh yeah, I can try to publish a video if you really can't obtain the same results. TheOriginalOne 21:29, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

I managed to get it to happen once. However, I'm having a lot of trouble doing it again. There must be another factor affecting the glitch. --SnorlaxMonster 09:10, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

Maybe you turned on while on Cinnabar and off while on Route 20, instead of the opposite. I say this because all the times I got it wrong were because of that mistake. I learned that it shouldn't be like that, and then exploiting this glitch became easier than finding a wild Pidgey. Just pay attention to what you do, trying to be sure that it follows my forum instructions. TheOriginalOne 21:57, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

Nope, I've been making sure of that. I've managed to replicate it several times since that post (and today I managed to do it on the first try, but only the first try). I'm trying to figure out what this other factor is: the position from where you cross between the two locations, how many tiles you move before stopping, exactly which part of the tune you need to turn it off at, if Repel affects it (which as far as my research indicates, it doesn't). It can certainly go on the page, because it is repeatable, but there is something that stops it from happening every time that I want to know what it is. --SnorlaxMonster 09:55, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

AH! I think I know what are you talking about! I haven't verified it yet, but I think it was because everytime I tried to do that was while adjacent to the southeastern coast. I am not sure if this is the problem, because, as I said, I haven't verefied it yet... But you can do that for me. If not, then... TheOriginalOne 20:54, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

[Edit] NO,NO,NO, forget that last part! It has nothing to do with it! NOW I REALLY KNOW WHAT'S MAKING YOU FAIL SOMETIMES! The factor behind this all is finding a wild pokémon in Route 20! If you find a wild pokémon in Route 20, this glitch won't result until you get out of there (either by landing or by flying) and then return. What I think right now is that you found a wild pokémon at those times you were unable to repeat it. That must be it! Please reply fast! TheOriginalOne 17:25, 10 March 2012 (UTC)

Adjacent to the coast did nothing. I also constantly fail even with Repel on. However, I noticed something interesting: I succeeded right after using a Repel (with GB Sounds on while I used it) then crossing to Cinnabar, then right after taking Baoba's call, then right after using the Black Flute (this was me trying to do it this way). Those were the only times I managed to get it to work today. I also tried the White Flute, but I didn't get it to work. Do you use the GB Sounds registered or from the bag? --SnorlaxMonster 13:22, 13 March 2012 (UTC)

I just use it from the bag. What? Is that the Mystery factor? TheOriginalOne 16:24, 25 March 2012 (UTC)

...I think it is. I just successfully did it several times in a row (I've never done more than one without a big bunch of failures in between). So it seems it works after closing the bag or something, because IIRC those are the only times it's worked when I was using it registered. So glad we finally figured this out. I've found it also works in reverse (Cinnabar to Route 20 rather than Route 20 to Cinnabar). I don't believe this is exclusive to this location, so I'll keep trying to see if there are more places that this works. --SnorlaxMonster 10:45, 30 March 2012 (UTC)

NO, I've already done that, and I have only managed to do so in that location. Case closed, right? TheOriginalOne 16:29, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
