Polish desc

"Czas podróżować kolczatka australijska (Time Traveling Echidna) od Bulbapedia."
Means: "Time to travel australian echidna (Time Traveling Echidna) from Bulbapedia."
What the f___ is that supposed to mean? You were using electronic translators, weren't you? Bad idea - Polish is a language that you cannot use with translators and do this correct. That sign is a complete nonsense. - Etamitlu 12:34, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

You bet. But I feel like I gotta put something, even if it's badly-translated. TTEchidna 19:08, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
It would be better if it had even bad-translated sense, don't you think? ;) Contact with me. AIM Jerzy232, MSN [email protected]. I will translate what you wanted to write. - Etamitlu 19:28, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
True. I'll do so ASAP. TTEchidna 21:00, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Glitches

As you may already know, I have been having a SOMEWHAT heated discussion with several other members over the notability of glitches and whether or not they should be such a significant part of Bulbapedia. At first, I found that many glitch articles required cleanup, but then I decided that they were just too useless and irrelevant to bother with. So I marked several for deletion. Yes, I know it was a mistake and you don't need to give me all the reasons why. However, I still believe that articles like Glitchy Charizard and Invisible Shiny Bulbasaur do not deserve their own pages. Fabu-Vinny told me to appeal to a member of the editorial board, and here I am. My suggestion is to move any glitch Pokémon based off a real Pokémon into that Pokémon's trivia section. Invisible Shiny Bulbasaur goes under Bulbasaur's trivia. Then, whatever is left over, like MissingNo., can be merged into one fairly big article, List of Glitch Pokémon. On that list, we can have a short description of each. See what you think.

Important enough to put on your talk page? -File:Spr 3e 186.gifPolitoed666File:Spr 3e 186.gif

Oh yes, very important enough to put on my talk page. Anyway, glitchy Charizard, sure, that should possibly be merged into the Charizard article, or at least mentioned. What'd be better is if glitchy Charizard were on the list of glitch Pokémon. Same with invisible shiny Bulbasaur: it should be mentioned in Bulbasaur's article that its call is used for ISB because ISB is apparently index #000 while Bulbasaur's index #001. Likewise, ?????????? should be mentioned on Slowpoke's page, and ? should be mentioned on Unown's page, because they use the same calls.
I do, however, think that MissingNo. should be kept separate, or merged into an article with 'M. They're by far the most famous glitch Pokémon, and just being a section of a greater list is like saying Caterpie doesn't deserve its own article because it sucks and has no use until it's a Butterfree.
An article with a list of glitch moves and what they do wouldn't hurt, either... but certainly not separate articles. I dunno, Argy and Pie are the style editors, so I'll bring it up to them. We'll see what we can do. TTEchidna 00:00, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
Very good. It's nice to see someone who thinks that's a good idea. Have you brought it up with the style editors yet? -File:Spr 3e 186.gifPolitoed666File:Spr 3e 186.gif
Had class all week, and I've not been very able to talk to Pie or Argy as they haven't been on AIM. I'll get to it right away. TTEchidna 01:08, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
...cough... -File:Spr 3e 186.gifPolitoed666File:Spr 3e 186.gif
Yeah, I talked to Pie, she thinks that it's a good idea. TTEchidna 04:40, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
Great. So, what are we gonna do with all the glitch articles? Tons of 'em need improvement and it's going to take a lot to do this. Should we make a project for it or start ourselves? What's our course of action? -File:Spr 3e 186.gifPolitoed666File:Spr 3e 186.gif
A project would be a good idea. Perhaps use that for the articles now, and then later we'll determine their merge status. TTEchidna 02:50, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, but do you think you could make the project? ...I have no idea how. I'll start then. -File:Spr 3e 186.gifPolitoed666File:Spr 3e 186.gif

Houston, we have a sockpuppet...

Yep, Samrulz123 has created a sockpuppet, Samrulz1234, to evade the last two days of his one-week block. I trust you know what to do...--Shiningpikablu252 01:50, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Top Contibutors of The Month for September

Sorry to bother you with a stupid question, but when will the Top Contributors of the Month thing be updated? --File:Spr 3e 115.gifTheryguy512File:Spr 3e 202.gifFile:Spr 3e 327.gif 23:14, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Zhen's the one in charge of doing that. TTEchidna 00:03, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I know. I was the one who put in the information about how the calculation is actually made and corrected it, if you check the history on that page. It's still not clear how that claim actually arose. Reuvens 12:37, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

Hmm. TTEchidna 02:58, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Ph34r,

Looks like a new Ph34r wannabe has joined Bulbadia. Ph34r,. He recentely edited Template:Harley's Pokémon and wrote in "This page has been taken over by Ph34r, Down with Bulbapedia!" But he quickly reverted his edits and said "Sorry bout that, I guess I've overeacted..."

I don't know if he's serious or he's just being a smart ass. Anyway, I thought you might like to know. --ケンジガール 07:31, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, it affect all of Harley's Pokémon, even Harley himself! PsychicFile:Ani475MS.gif Agent 448Talk | DP Fighting 10:50, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

I can just imagine on this talk page: "The page has been taken over by Pichu Lover, Up With TTE!"... But seriously, we need to stop them if they start again. User:Gazco/sig 17:29, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Hrm... TTEchidna 18:35, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
I can't believe that I'm announcing this to the world, but can you ban those sockpuppets I made (just please, don't ban me!) PsychicFile:Ani475MS.gif Agent 448Talk | DP Fighting 01:03, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Which of these looks better?

Ummm... the second's more manageable. TTEchidna 00:32, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

I would count the first one as spamming if I was an admin, but the second one looks fine. User:Gazco/sig 19:22 7 October 2007

....

What the heck did I do?

You kept putting the same message over and over on Optimus35's talk page. If it was a browser error, I can understand, but you'd better apologize to him if that was the case. TTEchidna 04:15, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
I wonder how he did that...PsychicFile:Ani475MS.gif Agent 448Talk | DP Fighting 06:13, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Oh...

Oh yeah, my laptop was going really slow today so when I tried to put a message in it wouldn't work(i thought). I don't know how many I must have put in, but I gave up after a few tries...

Maybe your internet tubes were clogged. Either way, wait for the page to load. TTEchidna 04:27, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

I waited long enough!

How long is long enough? Was the bar still loading? TTEchidna 04:41, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, the bar only had one little square in it after like three minutes. I tried to press on the save page again and the bar dissapeard. It seems to be ok now though...

Letting it load is a good thing. Switch to another tab and let it load. TTEchidna 06:15, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Project TCGDex Reprint Issue Ideas

I've come up with something that just might solve the reprint issue plauging Project TCGDex. I've put the format up on two Trainer card articles up already, here they are:

Simply put, that "thick line" (actually an empty row) separates release info for individual prints of the cards that appear in multiple sets. Of course, there are a few cards where this wouldn't be practical (Potion for instance), but that's nothing a table under "Release Information" won't fix. What do you think of it?

(Oh, and if you think synchronizing the names for the Project TCGDex articles for the first three sets with the later-released sets is absolutely necessary, say the word and I'm on it.) --Shiningpikablu252 20:39, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

That's the way I was thinking of handling it originally, actually, just mentioning all sets where the card with the same text and function is released, even with alternate art, but have the main article be the first release of the card.
And the first three sets... eh. We're dealing with it. We won't move them just yet, because there's still some disagreement, but don't worry. Once we get all of it resolved, you'll know. ...and I hope that's soon... TTEchidna 21:11, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Political Templates

I come to you knowing you'll be fairly level-headed about this...I hope. What do you think about political user tags (I mean, we've already got religions)? Not many, just

231.png This user is a Republican

and

077.png This user is a Democrat

. If you have a better picture for the democrat one, let me know.

-File:Spr 3e 186.gifPolitoed666File:Spr 3e 186.gif

Hmmm... well, it can get kinda complicated there. Remember, the Republican/Democrat duality is only in the US, unlike religions, which are worldwide things... TTEchidna 00:04, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
Why not "liberal" and "conservative"? Look at these:
468.png This user is a Liberal
231.png This user is a Republican
Hmm... perhaps. We'll need it to have customizable colors, of course, and absolutely must have one for people who stand in the middle. TTEchidna 02:03, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
Look at these better templates:
468.png This user is liberal
229.png This user is conservative

--Shiny NoctowlTalk | ContribsFile:Ani164MS.gif 02:07, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Pretty good, but the colors could be better, and it certainly shows a bit of bias on the part of the chosen Pokémon. TTEchidna 02:11, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
You know, Tina, I wouldn't really mind if you moved your white color subpage to the template namespace, so long as you made it fit with {{Dark color}} and the others. TTEchidna 02:49, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
Huh, really? Hmmm.. I think I'll do that! (I didn't make it an official template, because it wasn't a type or anything but I'll just stick it in the colors. :P) TinaTheKirliaFile:281MS.gif 02:53, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
Works for me! TTEchidna 02:57, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
Okay, then. First off, I suggest that we use liberal and conservative as opposed to Democrat and Republican. Secondly, although I tend to lean toward liberal standpoints, I think we need to pick a fair Pokémon for each side. {[p|Togekiss}} seems like a fairly good idea for liberals, although it's hard to say why. I'll stick with Phanpy for conservatives. Also, I'll make other templates for User Communist, User Green Party, User Fedaralist, etc. TTE, Tina, and Shiny Noctowl, do I have your approval for
468.png This user is a Liberal

When I moved the White template to the Template: namespace instead of mine, one of my templates screwed up... I'm pretty sure you type it as "white", anyway. Help?
