Welcome to Bulbapedia, Skarm!

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Personal information

Please keep personal information off of the main space. Personal information belongs on your user page which you can edit after you have proven yourself to be a constructive and productive editor. Secondly, Bulbapedia is not a guide, rather an encyclopedia. We just give general, unbias information. Not walkthroughs or advice on how to play the games. Thank you. Creating pages

When you create pages, please ensure you actually have information to add, and that you know about the subject. It is better to have no page than a one-sentence page. From what you wrote about King of the People of the Earth, I got the impression that you knew nothing about the character and simply wrote from the name. Please do not do this. --SnorlaxMonster 04:23, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

Please do not make an article that only has one sentence. When making one, please add actual information to it. Ataro 01:27, 21 October 2011 (UTC)

The userspace

Editing the userspace is restricted to once a day, and you've gone over it with three more edits. After four days, you can edit it again. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia first, not Facebook or Google+. Thank you. --P S Yライダー 19:20, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

Talk page templates

I'm afraid you can't just take other people's talk page codes. You need to ask Werdnae or I if you want to use either of our talk page templates. But please try to be creative and create your own. Also, use the preview button please. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 23:51, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

Talk page customisation and good manners

Stop on the talk page customisation for now. While it doesn't fall under the userspace limit, It's still considered personal content, so you need to keep personal edits to a minimum and balance them with mainspace contributions. You've made 17 edits like that today, which is more than three times the total number of mainspace edits you have made. Again, we are an encyclopedia, not a Facebook/Google+. You need to balance out all personal edits, regardless of whether they are userspace or user talk space, with mainspace edits. If you fail to do so, I'll be forced to protect this page. Also, as far as making a good first impression goes, stealing someone else's work without even asking is a very bad way of doing it. You must always ask before you use other people's work. If you had asked, I would have told you that you could use my code and change it to give it your personal style. Since you didn't, you may refer to my code, without copying it, to learn how it works. If you want to use my code as a base, you'll have to figure out how it's working and build it yourself. Also, for the record, you need to have been a member for at least 6 months, and generally have made over 500 mainspace edits before you're even eligible for a JA position. Signature

Your signature is misleading, and it has to relate to your username, please change it. Pikiwyn talk 22:06, 20 October 2011 (UTC)

Hello

Hello Skarm, can you please explain your recent edits? Please try to refrain from making unconstructive edits in the future. Thank you, have a nice day ahead. ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 17:29, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

Issuing warnings

It's appreciated that you want to let people know about their faults, but this is just too much. Please don't threaten to put the delete tag, the page doesn't need to be deleted just because their page has too many templates. Thank you. --☆ヨッシ の世界☆ 22:44, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

I forgot something

Bulbapedia:Sandbox is the public sand box, if you want a personal sand box, go here. Truthseeker4449 23:22, 25 October 2011 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day. This policy was instated to prevent strain on our server, and also to promote people helping out in the mainspace. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! --♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 01:48, 26 October 2011 (UTC)

Multiple accounts

It is against the rules to have more than one account as explained in thid policy. Please pay attention to the site policies in the future. Your alternate account has been blocked indefinitely. -- MAGNEDETH 06:43, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
