This user is busy at this time due to Wiki retirement and work on his/her original music compositions & arranged music covers.
This user will be back probably never: he/she is unlikely to return to edit this wiki due to loss of interest in Pokémon since the death of the National Pokédex..
Welcome to Bulbapedia, SilSinn9801!

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Old Comments

Hi. I saw on the Bulbapedia talk:Editor's Hub that you replied to a comment from 2012. I would recommend not replying to comments that are that old and instead add a new section at the bottom of the talk page. I can see that you're new here so I presume you didn't know but just as a head's up in the future. Thank You! Ice Cream 23:52, 24 June 2018 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hello. I have noticed that you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently, and have made a total of 4+ userspace edits today. Please do not edit the userspace any more, as the userspace policy limits the amount you can edit your userpage: No more than three edits per day (by UTC), and you must contribute to the mainspace more than you edit your user page(s). This policy was instated to promote people helping out in the mainspace, and also to control strain on our servers. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal page(s). The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your user page(s). Thank you. --ForceFire 05:29, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

Make more mainspace edits

In addition to the message above, please make more mainspace edits. You have only made 7 mainspace edits in comparison to your other edits. This is unacceptable. Users should at least attempt to make constructive edits to the wiki, not having back and forth conversation on talk pages or trying to make their userpage look pretty. We are a wiki first and foremost, so your top priority should be improving the wiki. Thank you.--ForceFire 05:34, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

The reason I only have 7 mainspace edits is because there are too many articles I would like to contribute to but cannot because of their protected status. Examples: Player character, Leaf (game). Even there is a brand-new article I would like to start (List of unlockable Festival Plaza phrases in other languages) but feel discouraged to do because of a certain admin/bureaucrat's opinion that it doesn't deserve to exist even though it is of a purely encyclopedic nature (just like many other lengthy List of ... in other languages articles). And sometimes, the only mainspace contribution I can provide to a certain article is a tooltip {{tt}} contribution which almost always gets rolled back/reverted/undone for whatever reason by the same admin/bureaucrat. How do you then expect me to constructively contribute to this wiki when there is almost always at least one obstacle to my potential contributions? --SilSinn (Pokémon Sun TID: 768426; Pokémon Ultra Moon TID: 123446) (talk) 07:14, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
There are other things you can edit that does not pertain to Let's Go. The wiki has thousands of pages you can edit, you can't say that there's nothing to edit.--ForceFire 07:34, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
And that's the problem. Those other pages either do not interest me (because they pertain to games I don't play, like Pokémon Trozei, so there is no way I can contribute to them) or are already so complete there is nothing new to contribute to them (not even grammatical error fixes). And in some cases, there is nothing I can contribute to a certain article because it was already contributed by someone else ahead of me (as if this were a race to see who makes it first). --SilSinn (Pokémon Sun TID: 768426; Pokémon Ultra Moon TID: 123446) (talk) 07:48, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

User tags

Do not change usertags, like colors, as it may cause stress to the server as it tries to change every instance of the tag on multiple userpages. It's the reason why a majority of usertags are protected. Adding guides are fine however, as they don't affect the appearance of the template.--ForceFire 05:23, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

Sorry for the server stress, but I felt the recoloring was necessary this time because the previous yellowish/brownish colors were not used by Wikipedia under any skin known to me (Monobook, Vector). But well, at least you appreciate the documentation supplied. I try to edit no more than one template per week because of that same stress concern (and because I am not sure whether templates are a space separate from mainspace). There may be other usertags in need of documentation, but for this week I am done. ----SilSinn (Pokémon Sun TID: 768426; Pokémon Ultra Moon TID: 123446) (talk) 05:33, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
I can't tell whether you got the message exactly, so I just want to reinforce ForceFire's point. If a usertag is unprotected (even though they all should be), editing documentation would be acceptable...but do not make any other sort of edit to them.
Thanks. Tiddlywinks (talk) 11:41, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

Symbols

There's no need for those templates, as those symbols are located in the character palette below the edit box, so users just need to click on that, no need for a template. Thank you.--ForceFire 06:08, 20 December 2018 (UTC)

The templates are for the superscripted forms, not the individual characters themselves. Of course there is a need for such templates, since their usage in Bulbapedia is almost exclusively in superscripted form (example: Fashion item and its table templates). --SilSinn (Pokémon Sun TID: 768426; Pokémon Ultra Moon TID: 123446) (talk) 06:12, 20 December 2018 (UTC)

Templates

Please note that all templates must be approved before they can be used. (There are a small number of exceptions. Off the top of my head, romanizations would be one.) In the future, if you wish to make a template, please create it in your userspace. Tiddlywinks (talk) 11:35, 20 December 2018 (UTC)

I created the USUM-extended fashion templates in mainspace because I was planning to use them on the mainspace Fashion item article, not on my user page. Also, by moving my templates to my userspace, you are now restricting them to the three-edit-per-day limitation, which I find denigrating since the purpose of the templates was to improve a mainspace article. Had I been working instead on a template for a new usertag (meant to be used solely on user pages), I would have obviously created it instead in my userspace.
Also by moving my templates to userspace, you broke at least two transclusions present in two of the templates, thus forcing me to fix the broken transclusions and thus exceed my 3-edit-per-day limit (now ForceFire will scold me again because of your reckless action, thankee for that). --SilSinn (Pokémon Sun TID: 768426; Pokémon Ultra Moon TID: 123446) (talk) 22:46, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
I repeat: all templates must be approved before they can be used. I.e., no matter where you plan to use them, they should start in the userspace.
You should also note that the userspace policy does say that exceptions can be made for some pages. Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:59, 21 December 2018 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --Tiddlywinks (talk) 01:52, 23 December 2018 (UTC)

Because today I was using a laptop computer, I will condone you that. However, if I were using a smartphone in mobile browser mode, I would be forced to do several piecemeal edits (one per section) rather than a single huge multi-section edit, because clicking on the edit button at the top of the page would only let me edit the introductory paragraph(s) of the page (the one(s) showing up before the table of contents and thus before the individual page sections) and not the whole page. (And yes, I know the Preview button, I almost always use it before committing any change to a single section, especially if working on a userspace page subject to the 3-edit-per-day limit.)
Changing the subject, have you taken time to check my two prototype Fashion item tables and determine which one of the two looks better for the article (the one with three extra columns, or the one just marking USUM-exclusive items with the USUM template)? Because I just checked the talk page there and still saw no replies there. --SilSinn (TIDs: 768426S, 123446UM) (talk) 05:43, 23 December 2018 (UTC)

Your proposed templates

It was decided by a power higher than me that they were simply not needed. Hence, why I deleted them.--ForceFire 04:20, 13 January 2019 (UTC)

Korean romanization

Hey, it looks like you asked Wowy to look over the Korean romanizations for the fortune teller sayings; I'm the person to whom Wowy asked to take over the work (as you can see on my talk page). I'll try my best to look over it, but it might take a while depending on my schedule. (edit:I'll try to do one tent a day) --Willyh106 ㅓTalkㅏ 11:16, 29 January 2019 (UTC)

That is fine, there is no hurry. And thankee for the first edit. ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM) (talk) 12:57, 29 January 2019 (UTC)

Game color templates

Only staff members are allowed to create game color templates. Thank you.--ForceFire 15:35, 27 February 2019 (UTC)

Staff talk pages

Could you please not send the same message to multiple staff members? It comes off as spamming and being needy. Pick one staff member and wait for their response, if you feel they're taking too long, then you can go to another staff member. Thank you.--ForceFire 04:15, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
