Talk pages for Robot Chicken skit guides: Pokémon Bloopers Pikachu Secret

The goal of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis is to be just as international as Pokémon itself, and helping aspiring Pokémon wikis in languages we don't yet have is a great way to help achieve that goal. However, if we don't even know who the possible aspirers for Encyclopaediae Pokémonis's ninth language even are, there's no way any growth can take place. If you speak or understand a language that's currently not represented in Encyclopaediae Pokémonis and happen to find a wiki in that language with aspirations to join Encyclopaediae Pokémonis, then don't hesitate to drop me a line. Remember, an aspirier can't grow if they remain sheltered from the world!

If you understand Brazilian Portuguese, or know someone who does, then the Portuguese arm of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis is in desperate need of your assistance. Many, if not all, of that wiki's articles are in dire need of improvement, be it massive cleanup or even adding some real content to begin with. Their sysops are never around to handle things, and their interwiki bot has done nothing since late September--of 2008. The fact that a trusted member of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis has fallen into such disrepair is disturbing, to say the least. Brazilians do not deserve quality this low. If you can help improve the Portuguese end, then I highly recommend you do so. Today.

Pokémon Snap

Just wondering, would it be desirable at all if I wanted to add information on the Pokémon seen in the game to the "Other Appearances" sections of the appropriate pages? Drake Clawfang 10:34, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

They should already be under "In side games". --Shiningpikablu252 15:54, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, but they only give the locations. I mean adding like, the circumstances for them appearing (since a lot need to be triggered), what type of pose they can give, etc. For example:
"Pikachu can be found early in the Beach course near a surfboard. If the player lures it closer with food, it will pose on the surfboard. Later in the stage, if the player flushed a Scyther from the first patch of high grass, two Pikachu will run onto tree stumps and perform Thundershock if the player plays the Poke Flute."
If not it's okay, just something I thought that could be done. Drake Clawfang 16:50, 8 January 2010 (UTC)
Is that a no then? Drake Clawfang 06:15, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Pokéteca needs a lot of help too...

I noticed that you have a template in your user page (and your talk page) about an Italian wiki needing help, and LANDpedia needing lots of help. Since you have edited the Spanish-language Pokéteca before (mainly adding many, many interwiki links -- I don't know how you have so much patience to do that, but thanks so much for doing that!), you probably know that it needs help too. There are only a few people right now who regularly contribute. In my honest opinion, I think that Solovino, a native Spanish speaker, and I are probably the two most active contributors on Pokéteca right now (and of course, you are as well, from the interwiki links that you add). Some of the Pokéteca admins help too, such as Shadow and CoolPikachu!, among others, but not as much. The lack of people editing Pokéteca is the reason why I edit Pokéteca more often than Bulbapedia, despite the fact that my native language is... English. (You've probably seen me edit Pokéteca if you look at the Recent Changes, which you most likely do.)

Now, I'm not sure now the Italian wiki (I forget the name of it) or LANDpedia compare to this (as I don't visit those sites -- English and Spanish are the only two languages that I know), but either way, I think Pokéteca could use some help, especially when it only has 1,263 articles as of the time that I'm writing this, which to my recollection is much lower than any other Wiki of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis. Not to mention that a lot of articles are either disorganized (look at Chingling, for instance, and compare it to, say, Bulbasaur) or are stubs (just look at Route 202... sigh). So here's the point I would like to get across (and why I'm mentioning this in the first place): Can you add a paragraph about Pokéteca needing help like you did with the other two Wikis? It wouldn't hurt, would it? --Blaziken257 07:46, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

My team page

Yeah, those were accidental typos. I tend to do that a lot, especially with my new keyboard at home, but I should have checked them more. Thanks for checking that. By the way, I don't know where to post this, but the party template is particularly sensitive about where the é is placed. I noticed when I did a replace all on Word, since I was writing episode summaries, but it affected the template and made the Pokémon disappear. Perhaps it should be put on the template talk page? --rockersk08 19:07, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

User Edit Help

How do I correctly put that Template thingy up? It doesn't show Ambipom's Sprite for some reason. I tried changing it but I think it made it worse. Thanks. User:BAC510 19:41 January 25, 2010 (UTC)

What are you trying to do? 梅子 19:48, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
I wasn't touching Gold's template...
In any case, the template is protected due to the fact that it's not 100% confirmed exactly when Ataro will evolve. Just because three preview pages showed it as an Ambipom, that doesn't mean it can't still appear and/or evolve on-panel as an Aipom in chapter nine. We don't know just where the three preview pages take place. We're waiting until, at the very least, the regular serialization either shows it evolving or confirms that it evolved off-panel sometime during the previous two chapters. It's actually quite a similar measure to potential stuff like this in the anime...--Shiningpikablu252 23:43, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
It was BAC510 I was asking if he was touching the template. And don't worry, I'm perfectly aware of why the template was protected - I was actually the one who requested that Deth protect it this morning. 梅子 00:57, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
I think I mixed things up. Sorry. I was talking about how I can't Ambipom's Platinum Sprite on the box thing. It shows:

Ambipom Lv.???

|- |} How can I fix this??? User:BAC510 08:08 January 26, 2010 (UTC)

Fixed. You needed the {{{spritegender}}} option to call the correct image. Well, that and the fact that no one actually got around to putting the male sprite on the server. —darklordtrom 08:48, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. User:BAC510 05:55 January 31, 2010 (UTC)

Huh...

When will you understand that the only languages that the Pokémon games have been translated to are English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Korean? There's nothing like Portuguese (neither Brazilian nor Iberian) translations. They don't exist. You've probably seen a good Portuguese hackrom (I've seen fanmade Crystal in Portuguese, fully translated, looked well-made) or got fooled by the fact that we have many Portuguese editors who add Portuguese names for everything (but those come from the anime or sometimes are merely fantranslations, which I try to detect and delete). But I assure you, authorized game Translations do not exist. --Maxim 21:52, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

Hey

GTS Plus is an abbreviation, hence why I moved it after noticing all the other fansite's articles aren't abbreviated with the exception of Bulbagarden (Bulbasaur's Mysterious Garden). To be honest, that was my first page creation, so I pretty much made a mess of all th redirects, and I think all the redirects should be removed since some are incorrect. Thanks --Emp, out 17:24, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

We've got plenty of abbreviation-based redirects. There have been page moves in the past that have moved from abbreviations to expanded-out titles, and in every single case the old title was kept as a redirect. There's no reason "GTS Plus" should be any different. --Shiningpikablu252 18:20, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

Barry

I noticed Pearl was actually moved to Barry in the end, a move which you violently opposed, as I do. Did you just give in eventually or are you still fighting this decision? :) Kidburla 12:46, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

Oh, don't worry. That page isn't going to get moved from Pearl to Barry. I guarantee it. If we did, we'd have to move Blue (game) to "Gary (game)" on the same token. --Shiningpikablu252 12:47, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
Umm... SP, hate to break it to ya, but we already moved Pearl to Barry days ago. And that doesn't mean moving Blue to Gary, it's not the same case. Barry is Pearl's default name. Blue has actually appeared as an NPC in Gens II and IV. He was Blue as a Gym Leader in GS, and if he'll get a new name in English HGSS, that's what we'll move him to. Same way Red is Red because of his NPC appearance, and same way that if Gold will really be Ethan as an NPC in HGSS, we'll move him too. --electAbuzzzz 14:35, 13 February 2010 (UTC)

Yeah as ElectAbuzz says above, this move was already made! That's why I posted in the first place! It looks like you weren't aware of that. So again, can I ask will you be continuing to fight this decision? Kidburla 22:31, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
