As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:

• For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.
• The manual of style is very important. Make sure to read it. It outlines all official policies of Bulbapedia.
• The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The P, of course, is accessed easily by holding Shift and pressing the P key, while the é can be accessed using Alt + 130 or Alt + 0233 on a Windows computer, and Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can click it in the character palette below the editbox.
• The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a captial B (which is, again, accessed by holding Shift and pressing the B key). The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
• The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.

• The use of link templates is official policy. For an explanation on their use, see the page on shortlinks.

Signature Help

Can someone help me create a signature, or at least tell me hom to? Thanks.

Let's see, I think I've got some good links that'll help you.

First off; if you go to your Preferences, you'll see a field called "Nickname". That's your signature; anything you put there will automatically be posted to the page when you type ~~~~. If you check off the "Enable Raw Signatures" box under that, you can use all sorts of fancy coding in there as well.

making a signature is pretty easy now that we have a policy. it narrows your choices. bascially, choose some fav colors of yours (given your a Patriots fan i presume) and then its pretty easy after that. -- MAGNEDETH 03:05, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Signing

Having a signature is no good if you don't sign your comments. Be sure you put ~~~~ after every comment you leave on a talk page. Alright, the coding doesn't fit, that's the problem. It chops a bit of the last /span tag off, thus invalidating the whole thing. I shortened a few of the tags by "cheating" and using the old font color= tags instead, and I switched the #000000 for black instead (shaves two characters off the end result). Here, this one should fit now:

These are just short summaries, not full in detail....

1. 1) I think the planning/structure should be made better.
2. 2) I have some better rules to go along with yours.
3. 3) Your "system" needs a person who can be in charge, a Chairman of the Board/CEO type of deal, to have the final decision *coughcough*me, patfan*cougcough Patriotfan09 23:03, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

3. No offense, but I don't think there is anyway that you could do that now, because you're kind of new here, not everyone knows you, and it would probaly have to be someone who was with the gyms from the beginning such as Magnedeth or DCM. Porygon-Z 23:07, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

1. I can explain it better here...

New (and improved) Rules:

• I hope you are all satisfied with your positions but for those of you who don't you may challenge anyone (accept me) you like for there positions. The ones who lose will switch with the winner.
• Anyone who defeats the Elite Four and me will take the 1st Gym Leaders Position. You only have to beat five gym leaders to challenge the elite four. So to my members espescially the first Gym Leader. I suggest you try your best to switch positions with someone before it's too late.
• Half your team must be your specialty. The Gym Leaders can use 1 uber, Elite Four can use 2, and the champion (Me) can use three but chances are I won't. Challengers can use as many ubers as their opponent. I hope didn't miss anything.
• If you are caught breaking any of these rules you will loose all GLC Progress and have to start over.

Suggestions:

• There need to be 8 Gym Leaders, each with 2/3 Trainers under them.
• You need an elite four
• You need a battle frontier section as well
