Thousands of thanks

I love people like you, Oz. :) --FinnishPokéFan92 16:24, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Shucks, man. Thanks! I'm just trying to keep up with the standards you guys are setting. --Oz 16:39, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Regarding this

It's fine to link to an article more than once, especially when the links are several paragraphs apart. --electAbuzzzz 20:48, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Oh, fair enough then. Good thing you told me then, so I won't make the mistake again! Thanks! --Oz 21:00, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Siggy

Hey, thanks for catching that error. I fixed it.--Smartkidhen (So I saw this sign that said Red VelvetTeam Galactic has plans) 14:06, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

No worries, mate! Always happy to help out a fellow user. And Team Galactic kicks butt! Haha. --Oz 14:07, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

welcoming

It's all lowercase like {{subst:welcome}}.Just a heads up for next time.--Smartkidhen (So I saw this sign that said Red VelvetTeam Galactic has plans) 17:34, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Yeah I know, my finger slipped and hits the CAPS key. --Oz 17:36, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Talk page comment deletion

Feel free to insert {{subst:TPCD}} on the talk page of someone who has deleted talk page comments. It'll give them a little reminder that should be more obvious than an edit summary :) —darklordtrom 08:34, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Ruby and Sapphire

Nice work on Red, Blue and Yellow. If you get a chance do the Ruby and Sapphire games because a. They are almost done and b. I am curious to how this will turn out. -Tyler53841 04:17, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm planning on fixing the templates up on all the walkthroughs. Once I've finished Gen II, I'll be moving right onto Ruby and Sapphire. --Oz 04:18, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Better than Force Fire's design and I can deal with the rest since I plan to create only three more pages. -Tyler53841 05:21, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Ummm, it is my design..... he just changed the parameters.....infact, It is from the standard prevnext template.--ForceFire 11:14, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Technically, I added two parameters and left the others as they were. And if it was from the standard prevnext template, how is it your design? Not trying to be an ass, but I'm just saying... anyways, it's not really important whose it is, is it? It's the end result, right? --Oz 11:22, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, might've contradicted myself there. I was meant to say that they're just the same thing, just with a few changes.--ForceFire 11:31, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Okay

Alright, I'll try to use the preview button from now on. Thanks, ~MysT 14:29, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

That, and you should contribute some edits to the mainspace before you do anything more to your profile. This 'pedia is about the Pokémon franchise, after all. --Oz 14:35, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Gotcha. :) ~MysT 16:19, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Need your opinion

Nice help with the walkthroughs, right now I am using what time I have to restructure Red/Blue and going up the ladder before I continue with Ruby/Sapphire's walkthrough. The reason why I am contacting you is for the Brendan/May thing which would later be settled for Lucas/Dawn is do you think that a rival header should be put in with their name to make it easier to work with the new format? -Tyler53841 16:51, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, definitely. It's more "important" than just a set of Trainers on a route, so I reckon it should have its own little section. That's what they've done in the first two generations, and it looks pretty neat and tidy IMO. :) (Unless I'm on the wrong end of the stick and talking about something completely unrelated! Haha.) --Oz (The Wizard at Work!) 16:59, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Go to the first part of the Ruby and Sapphire walkthrough. I just got done. -Tyler53841 17:23, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Looks pretty good. 'Cept the Totodile thing, but I swept that under the rug for ya. :D --Oz (The Wizard at Work!) 17:25, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
If you ever want to divide the workload to reformat the pages with the new designs let me know and we'll see where to go from there. -Tyler53841 17:27, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
I'm fine with divvying things up, yeah. We'd be able to get everything done quicker, at least. What did you have in mind? --Oz (The Wizard at Work!) 17:30, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Right now I am looking at RB, GS, Y, RS, Cr, E, DP, Pl and HGSS (KCorp4000 is reformatting FRLG so we'll count that out) so I'll take GS, RS, E and Pl and you can handle the rest (I actually feel like doing GS and since I had some involvement already with the rest (to shortcut use the route pages but don't forget to take out information that has nothing to do with those versions like I did with RB). That will divide between two completed projects (with RS being done soon by me) and minor stuff that will be fair.

Just to let you know all the data on the Hoenn trainers is incomplete and some only exist on the walkthrough at this moment for Ruby and Sapphire which is why I should do Ruby and Sapphire since I can multitask. But I plan to extract the details through my gameplay walkthroughs. -Tyler53841 17:48, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Also while at school I came up with a successful idea to redesign the template for the rival on those games and worked in my sandbox, so I'll use it for the rival on Ruby and Sapphire instead since it will use less headers and not clutter up the page as much. -Tyler53841 00:22, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
Okay then, I've got the first Gen to take care of, right? What exactly should I be doing, just updating everything to the new templates and tidying stuff up? Yknow, just so I've got a crystal clear idea, haha.
The sandbox idea is pretty sound, I like it. The only thing is that it's the same team put down twice. If we could have a sprite that showed the pair of them together, and put the name as Rival Brendan/May, that'd be a lot simpler. --Oz (The Wizard at Work!) 15:00, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

Fake Pokémon

You must have had to dig deep, because I couldn't turn up anything when searching for "Nidogod" or "Nidogoddess". In any case, those are fake sprites of Pokémon that aren't presented as being real. The article currently covers and largely focuses more on fake Pokémon presented as real. You can't have both. The former don't fit. Redstar 14:21, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

What's "two thus far"? Redstar 14:23, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
Actually, I just put "Nidogod" and "Nidogodess" into Google Images. They were the first images on there, so it was about as shallow as digging gets, really. And "two thus far" means that's twice we've disagreed over a subject (and twice that the admins have sided with me, but that's not what I was getting at). --Oz (The Wizard at Work!) 14:25, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
Well "Nidogodess" is misspelled, so of course I wouldn't find that... I know the subject, and just because this wiki doesn't seem to care about it doesn't mean they have the right to put up incorrect information. Redstar 14:30, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
Nidogodess is intentionally misspelled to give it ten characters (the maximum for any REAL Pokémon), just like Victreebel and Feraligatr. And they've got no more right to do that than you do to say that it's incorrect, especially when someone with more authority than you has settled such an issue. Just let it go, mate. --Oz (The Wizard at Work!) 14:33, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
I never said they didn't have any right. They're just misspelling the name. In fact, they're kinda incorrect because Nidogoddess never actually was rumored as a PokéGod or fake Pokémon... Also, who has settled the issue? No issue has been settled at all, because no one has bothered to actually discuss any of the issues I've brought up on any talk page. Redstar 14:38, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
Since when does being classed as a PokéGod count? And it's a fake Pokémon because it's a Pokémon that's not real; see the connection? I remember back in the days between RBY and GS, when there were rumours of a pair of Nido-evolutions. It's like the wind; just because you can't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Besides, there are plenty of fake Pokémon that don't make that page. Check out Serebii's page and you'll see. And what "issues", if any, have you raised? All you've said is that they're not "FAKE", I said they were, and electAbuzzzz sided with me. What's not black and white about that? If you wanna argue about the "false assumptions" section, I don't care for it, so we can't argue. If you wanna argue about the Fake section, you've been proven wrong by proxy. What's left? --Oz (The Wizard at Work!) 14:44, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
I've brought up discussion on both the Fake Pokemon and Mewthree talk page. No response. Redstar 14:49, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
1) Don't delete anything (even your own comments) from my talk page. It's against the rules, and even if it's not, it's irritating as heck to have a message saying that my page has been changed.
2) Nidogodess (with two Ds and not three) was rumoured, in reply to the comment you scrapped off here.
3) If no-one's responded, its because (a) no-one with the proper knowledge/authority is available to comment (b) your issues have already been explained somewhere else, so no-one wants to reply, or (c) there's nothing to your discussion anyways, so no-one's bothering. I can't really be bothered to care for something that's already been ruled on (since said ruling probably indirectly answered your queries in the process), so you should talk to someone who gives two cents. That, or you could just leave it alone and wait for a response. Worry less and you'll live longer, kid. --Oz (The Wizard at Work!) 14:56, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
1.) It's not against the rules. People are allowed to edit their comments as they like.
2.) Neither "Nidogodess" or "Nidogoddess" turn up any results on a Google search, other than latter-day lists far after the fact. Only Nidogod was rumored.
3.) All three points (a, b, and c) are invalid, because the issue is whether or not to delete a page. That's already been settled; we just need someone to do it.
4.) I'm older than you. Redstar 15:01, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
