Editing episode pages

Just a small note

In the future, when your edit breaks something on a page, and you don't know how to fix it, don't save like you did here. Instead, bring up that it needs to be added on the talk page. And the problem was that you need to put 'movebtm' instead of 'movemid' so the table would end. --It's Funktastic~!_{話してください} 20:27, 14 September 2013 (UTC)

Adding "known moves"

Please do not assume things when adding moves to the list of "known moves". They are called known moves for a reason: they must have been confirmed on-screen so we know exactly what they are. Otherwise, we're just guessing, and that's not OK. For example, you added Discharge to both Professor Oak's Rotom's page and Alexa's Helioptile's page. Both of these could be other Electric-type moves or even just a general ability to manipulate electricity, the way Flying-types can fly without using Fly or Water-types can swim and carry passengers without using Surf. Greninja/Moonlight fragrance

In your recent edit to Greninja's page, you suggested that ninjas and moonlight are substantially related. I do not know where to find this information, and it's probably much quicker if I just ask you, so: could you provide some sources to back up such a claim? If it is true, then some link to that information should probably be added to the Name origin section as well—otherwise people are very unlikely to understand why Moonlight fragrance should make any sense at all for Greninja. =P

As a side note, the tone of your edit summary also comes off a little deprecatory. Try to keep that sort of thing in check in the future. =) Tiddlywinks (talk) 13:44, 5 February 2016 (UTC)

You should probably ask before removing (like you did now), especially if you don't know the concepts, if you don't want people to get mad :D

Ninjas are very often associated with the moon (and the night) in Japanese folklore. The word "moon" implies a "night", from where Greninja's Dark Type comes from.--Omojuzeforever (talk) 16:01, 5 February 2016 (UTC)

First: please try to keep a discussion on one page. If someone contacts you here on your talk page, respond here, don't start a new branch at their talk page. That only makes it hard to follow the discussion for anyone who needs to read it in the future.

Second: I asked for a source... Can you provide any particular one?

Third: you cannot blame someone for removing something when you failed to source it or explain the connection adequately. And it certainly does not give you any right to get "mad" or adopt a pointed tone when you re-add it. You can't expect any-/everyone to know you well enough to give you the benefit of the doubt that you're doing more than just speculating. There's not really anything I could quote you from the top of my head. Though if you have ever read/watched ninja stories, the ninjas are said to move "with the moonlight". Almost all of their most dangerous missions are on nights that have either a "full moon" or a "crescent moon". Sorry, can't really quote you anything from the top of my head. Mainspacing pages

In the future, please do not move a user page into the mainspace without first getting staff approval.

Use of the mainspace template, with {{mainspace|status=complete}}, at the top of a user page automatically submits it for consideration (see the category page), so after that, all you need to do is wait. If you must, you can always ask a staff member about your page. But please do not move it until it has explicitly been approved.
