  • Add Leafeon and Umbreon already, so Eevee evolve into Leafeon by Leaf Stone, Umbreon by Moon Stone and Espeon by Sun Stone. Eevee should be also evolve into glaceon using a ice evolution stone (Snow Stone?)
  • EVERY egg must be different, so you can see which egg came from which pokémon
  • Light, Magic, Cosmos (space) and Time types should be added (Jirachi, Deoxys and Palkia can get Cosmos instead of Psychic or Water, Dialga get then time)
  • Pokémon must get more then 2 types
  • Flying Pokémon should ONLY to be Flying types, without the Normal-type
  • Fossil Pokémon in Gen I must NOT start at Level 5

Arend well..

  • Eeveelutions were added as time passed, you cant really go back in time and add them.
  • the games doesnt have enough memory for THAT many eggs!
  • new types are rather pointless if only they had them]
  • 2 types is fine
  • i already have pure Flying-type on there
  • why not lvl 5?

i know i sound mean, but i appreciate the comments MAGNEDETH 00:28, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Because it's too weak. Level 20 is lotsa better. Arend

I don't know about Magic, cosmos, or time, but I do think light needs to be a type, for a couple of reasons.
  • SolarBeam, Sunny Day, Moonlight, Flash, and Aurora Beam have more to do with light than there given types
  • Ampharos& its line and chinchou& its line have more to do with light than electricity

Does anyone else know what I'm trying to say? Dolphins_are_awesome (and Vulpix are too)! 18:15, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

I personally think fossils should have random levels, like that of fishing. Glinn32px 12:45, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

hows about Fossils start at Lvl 1 like babies? MAGNEDETH 00:58, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Ah, but when they were fossilised, why would they all be the same level? Glinn32px 01:19, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

well, they arent exactly de-fossilizing the pokemon. they are extracting the DNA and making one. (cloning i guess) so its not the same one, like a baby. MAGNEDETH 01:30, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Ooh, good page, however, can you put down that LUXRAY should be part Dark-type as well in Generation IV? It's the end of the work because it isn't 8D Also Wonderguad should mean that Pokémon with it are NOT affected be Weather Effects and/or Status Ailments. TESHIGIGAS RAWR!! 23:18, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Excellent ideas! im def going to add them. MAGNEDETH 23:34, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Actually, I think Wonderguard should allow Status Ailements to affect it, it should be that ANY move (that doesn't affect the Pokémon anyway) shouldn't affect that Pokémon. Basically Poison type attacks do not work on Shedinja, not even status moves of that type. TESHIGIGAS RAWR!! 21:07, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

im not exacly following you, so, Toxic wouldnt work, but if somone used Poison Sting, it wouldnt do damage, but it would Poison Shedinja? MAGNEDETH 21:14, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Wonder Guard should be left alone. Hackers who slp it on a Sableye or Spiritomb are enough of a pain already, they don't need more ways to avoid taking damage. Diachronos 18:32, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

How about a Sandstorm Ground-type Castform? It has a Weather Ball variation, but no Castform! Shouldn't that be included?--The Man With the Broken Diamond 17:55, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

makes sense to me! -- MAGNEDETH 16:52, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
What about Shadow Sky and Fog Castform? I seem to like that idea. ht14 17:47, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
I'm for a Sandstorm form (Rock, though, since Sandstorm turns Weather Ball into a Rock-type attack), but not Fog or Shadow Sky. Making a Fog form would mean that you'd need a move that can make it foggy (what type would it be, anyway?), and Shadow Sky would have to turn it into a Shadow Pokémon (technically making it a ???-type) for it to make sense. Diachronos 18:22, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

I think HT14 meant shadow AND sky as 2 things apart. And I don't see a point of a sky type. But they could make a fog since they have Defog. It could raise the user's evasiveness. It could be a Flying-type, too. And maybe moves that get rid of things like rain instead of maybe cancelling one and starting another, and maybe it needed to be rain for Cherrim to bloom instead of sun. Missingyes

No. Shadow Sky is a move... ht14 23:12, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
seems like a lot of text and effort for a Pokemon that sucks. -- MAGNEDETH 03:55, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Regigigas would have Clear Body just like the other Regis do Pokemon94 03:30, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

Maybe the story would be set in the future, afte the events of the games--493C 491 Is426for Cookie473 14:13, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

um, that doesnt make sence. the page refers to the games themselves. i also added things about "future" games. MAGNEDETH 19:42, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

I'm confused by what you meant by Hoenn being connected to Kanto and Johto in some way. Do you mean that Hoenn would have been on the continent of Kanto and Johto? (If so, it wouldn't be an island, as it is now, modeled after Japan) Or do you mean that it be connected in the way that you could be able to somehow go back and visit Kanto and Johto like you could, in actuality, go back to Kanto from Johto in Gold and Silver? Bulbapedian 03:10, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

yes. basically have the ability to re-visit a past location. as of right now, Johto is basically a "lost location" only known to some people as "that other place". -- MAGNEDETH 03:17, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Possibly an ok idea, but I don't understand that in Gen IV, when battling in the wild in hail, it says, "It started to hail!" or something like that. It's already shown to hail...meanwhile, in Gen III, it says for battling in the rain, "It is raining." Just don't get that... ht14 20:14, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

thats just Nintendo being inconsistent is all. -- MAGNEDETH 20:23, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Curse would be a Ghost-type move instead of ???. File:Ani491MS.gifKPFFile:Ani123MS.gif 05:17, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Added - i was thinking the same thing earlier today. MAGNEDETH 05:25, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Gen II would have Lv. 1 hatchlings.--Pokencyclopedia 12:00, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Added - excellent, i didnt even think about that. but i made a note that babies should be available in Gen I. MAGNEDETH 00:28, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
Yeah. It makes no sense to have newly hatched Pokémon to be at Lv. 5 when there are wild Pokémon that are as low as Lv 2.--Pokencyclopedia 03:30, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Hidden Power'd be ???-type instead of Normal. After all, you can't get a Normal HP. ティナ281 00:35, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

well, i was hoping to delete the ???-type. so hows about the ability to have a Normal-type HP? MAGNEDETH 01:15, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

moves could have two types like Muddy Water would be Water/Ground and so on... 45px 45pxKPF30px 30px 02:30, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

i was thinking about that too, but i figured id stay with what nintendo has given us (which is why i shot down the idea of 3 types. that and its just way too much) i was thinking about making my own "Gen 5" page, so, look for that in the future, because the dual type attacks might be a thought. MAGNEDETH 04:04, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

all past generation cries of Pokémon should be updated to the sort of ones heard in Gen IV. Moldy orange 01:31, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

I can see something wrong with that. The GB doesn't really support as good sound as heard in GenIV, so... yeah. Tina281 01:34, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
yea, that would be imposible. though, being a frequent Magneton owner, i can say that in Gen 3, his cry was shortened a bit. other pokemon as well. MAGNEDETH 01:37, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

We should also add Shadow Pokémon and Shadow moves in normal gameplay. That'd be cool. ht14 20:54, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Yeah Pokemon94 18:43, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
I think instead of double move types, moves and some Pokémon would have a type mix (like Whiscash and Muddy Water would be Mud-type instead of Water-Ground.) |\/| | Z Z | |\| G Y 3 Z 22:49, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

Gastly is a poison-type, it's part of the pun in its name: "GAS-tly". Also, Gastly is a ghost that lives in poison gasses, it's born from poison, it lives poison, and IS poison. There's no narrative reason why you should take the poison-type away from this clearly poisonous Pokémon. --Someone Else 10:31, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

very good point, but, Haunter and Gengar have no metion of poison. also, somthing can be "Ghastly" as in creepy or attrocious. if they never mentioned Gastly's love of toxic gasses, then, there would be no point. MAGNEDETH 23:39, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
I concur, just because his name is Gastly does not mean he has to be poisin493C 491 Is426for Cookie473
Well, the name is a mixture of "ghastly" and "gas". That's the pun, anyway. Haunter and Gengar are Gastly's evolved forms, and they probably do have a like for poison gasses, but there doesn't seem to be any evidence for that anywhere... Though there is an existing Pokémon who loses its poison-type: Bellossom. Hm...

Also, I've got a new suggestion: Magneton and Haunter's cries should never have changed from Gen II to Gen III. I loved Magneton's cry in RBY and GSC. They ruined it, some of the bleeps are missing. Haunter also had some beeps in its cry. --Someone Else 01:21, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

yea, i know. Haunters is now just a low grumble, and Magneton (which you obviously know I know all about) went from roughly 6 beeps to 2 or 3. its rather annoying because i liked the beeps myself (though, Magnemite still trumps it with 1) but i dont think they "changed" their cries, i think they were actually just altered from a transition of generations. upgraded audio equipment makes them higher quality, but cuts out some of the sharp sounds, like high pitched beeps. i could be wrong, so, dont take that as 100% fact. MAGNEDETH 01:41, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Well, I have another suggestion. When you say all Normal/Flying should be changed to pure Flying: I agree, except that Togetic and Togekiss should retain their Normal-type. It makes sense, right? --Someone Else 03:00, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
yup. i was going to add it, but i decided not to. i guess i will though. MAGNEDETH 03:09, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Okay, new idea

The counter Pokétch app shouldn't be so useless. Instead, it should have both a + and a - button, and a reset button... and it wouldn't reset when switching apps. I might actually use it, then... --Someone Else 15:31, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

you make a good point, but, i dont really think the Poketch needs its own mention. i think a majority of its functions are pretty useless. (like the counter) but its not really intuitive to gameplay, so, you know. MAGNEDETH 02:11, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

What about Flying/Dark?--Kuki 22:17, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Kuki

hmmm, no, it makes way more sense to have it part psychic to be honest. -- MAGNEDETH 00:20, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

I was looking at how Articuno does not get STAB from Sheer Cold, and I realized why, but how about for OHKO and STAB, instead of power increase, how about an increase in accuracy?--Kuki 12:17, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

actually, Articuno DOES get a STAB from Sheer Cold, its a typo. -- MAGNEDETH 00:20, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

I don't know if people will think of it as much of a big deal, but Wi-Fi double battle with 2 individuals per side would be awesome. Porygon-Z 23:26, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

yes, yes it would, WHY DIDNT THEY THINK OF THAT!?!? -- MAGNEDETH 00:20, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

  • Machop, Machoke, and Machamp would be 100% Male (it just looks wrong having a female Machoke)
  • Empoleon would not be part steel

--penubag 04:41, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

  • ever seen a female bodybuilder? they do exist, and you dont want to meet one...
  • oops, i meant to add that a while ago.

I'm sorry, this just cannot be a female. It just cannot... The voice, the chests, everything... --penubag 02:19, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

hows about a gender difference? just make them look a bit different? -- MAGNEDETH 04:14, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
Ha, I could go wild. Longer hair, XL red bra, bikini, lipstick, and a sexy voice. --penubag 04:59, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
thats sort of disturbing to be honest... -- MAGNEDETH 16:52, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Another suggestion: how about faster Surf in Gen IV? It was SO FAST in Gen III... ht14 20:30, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

in Gen I and II it wasnt overly fast either. -- MAGNEDETH 01:58, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
But it was so slow in gen. 4... Dolphins_are_awesome (and Vulpix are too)! 13:58, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

My suggestion:How About Empoleon and/Or Sceptile learn more Special Moves like :Air Slash, Focus Blast, Shadow Ball ,Sludge Bomb ,Earth Power . Also Empoleon Learns Agility By Level Up . Also Infernape Is not A Rip-off of Blaziken. Also Keep Poison-Type Moves be Super Effective against Bug Types Pokemon94 01:28, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Sceptile does learn Focus Blast. And while Empoleon's using Agility to speed up, some ass comes along and kills it with Low Kick. Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links 01:39, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
Low Kick? yea, but, this is more fun. -- MAGNEDETH 01:58, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Empoleon Should be Water/Flying instead of Water/Steel Pokemon94 23:35, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A FLYING PENGUIN??!!?!?!?!? Did the opening of Madagascar hypnotize you? DANG! Anyway, how about Machop and its evos be Male only? It seems sencable. Or maybe a bikini Shirt and maybe HAIR. And shorts instead of an underwear-looking thing. ----|\/| | Z Z | |\| G Y 3 Z 03:06, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
I like the idea of a Male-only Machop family; maybe throw in a female counterpart (like Tauros and Miltank). Diachronos 07:12, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Pokémon catchability

Some Pokémon could only be found with certain names, because you had to trade with in-game characters to get them (like Farfetch'd, Mr. Mime, and Jynx. In a do-over, they should either be caught in the wild, or given to you by the same in-game characters, so that you don't have to wait until Generation II to get a Farfetch'd which isn't called DUX. Flicky1991 11:03, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

that is true. the problem with Jynx and Mr. Mime is that they dont make any sense in the wild. but, that doesnt mean they shouldnt belong there. after all, they have to come from somewhere. granted, its me Smoochum and Mime Jr. Farfetch's should definitely belong in the wild. im gonna think about this. -- MAGNEDETH 16:52, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
How about Mr. Mime have a female counterpart, Mrs. Mime, because a female Mr. Mime (Or MISTER Mime) sounds WRONG!!! |\/| | Z Z | |\| G Y 3 Z 22:44, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
The Mr. Mime thing may sound strange for a female, but remember, this was made in Japan first, and the Japanese name does not restrict it to a particular gender. How about a rename instead to Mimey? Da Rammo 08:45, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

How about the move relearner? It's SO ANNOYING without it... ht14 01:53, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

Remove Incense

Remove those Incenses that are needed for breeding. For example Marill-Azurill, I know in Gen 2 breeding a Marill only got you a maril, but why in Gen 3 not just do over that and say that breeding a Marill gives an Azuril, Gen 2 and 3 arent compatible anyway, so why bother fixing a continuity erorr between them.

Yeah, that would be nice. There's a 1% chance of finding Munchlax, and you evolve and breed, no more munchlax EVA!! unless you get lucky. And it would be nice if you could trade from Gen 2 to 3. They make it so hard to get a Lugia. JUST FIX IT!!!---- |\/| | Z Z | |\| G Y E Z 21:20, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Rotom Form Types

Big mistake made here, when Rotom posseses an object he should take its type and as it is now in a physical form, lose the Ghost-type, so when it takes over the fridge, it becomes Electric,Ice

--Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010

That's a nice idea; it would make for some very interesting Type combos (Fire/Electric sounds pretty exciting to me). Only one problem: Spin Rotom would be part Flying type, which would make its Ability completely useless (not to mention that Electric/Flying is Zapdos' turf). Diachronos 18:07, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
You shouldn't need to mention that...Charizard... ht14 04:31, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Nature Power

It should be a grass-type, not normal-type, I think.--Kevzo8 07:56, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

Nature Power changes type depending on your location. theres not much of a reason to change it. if anything, with the Gen IV split, we need a Physical Hidden Power, like Secret Power. make that a physical HP.

A couple more ideas...

HP: maybe; Attack: NO (Lucario's most unique trait is that it has massive Sp. Attack for a Fighting type (and for a Steel type), and a great variety of Special moves); Defense/Sp. Defense: Only 80? Why not a little higher; Sp. Attack: Not against an increase, but it's already good as is; Speed: maybe, it's already decent Diachronos 18:15, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Sp.Atk: 125
Sp.Def: 75
Speed: 115

I am sorry when i said bastards. But They made him weak . Also The pokemon Magnezone and Magmortar are way slower than Magneton and Magmar . Also Lucario looked Taller in the movie than in the games Pokemon94 22:19, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Party of 7 or 8

A Little Idea 7 or 8 Pokémon should be allowed on a team. Random Chaos 19:31, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

well, the gem of the series is working with what you got. 6 is plenty. i sometimes make teams with only 5 and add the 6th as an HM slave. -- MAGNEDETH 23:37, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
well I guess I'm worse than you at this I can find a good enough team with only six. I don't have enough room for a slave. Random Chaos 18:38, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
if you dont have room, just interlace the HMs. single play Pokemon rarely need all 6 move slots depending on how many types you want cover. -- MAGNEDETH 00:29, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
Eggs shouldn't count as a spot in the Party. Also when you are given Eggs in the gameplay, it is more difficult to handle long battles and when it hatches you have to train them, too. If you were like me I had to train the Riolu I got from Riley. Having 7 or 8 slots is better for all of what I said. Pyles 17:01, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
This can become a problem though. Ever heard of strategy? Soon, people will be asking for a party of 9 or 10...besides, what I do is that my main battlers do have HM moves here and there, but I deposit and withdraw as to train multiple Pokémon in that sense. Each will have the needed HM(s) for each section. Eventually, I'll use the Move Deleter. ht14 17:13, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

anime going to game moves

you know in the anime, you can tell your pokemon to dodge the attack and they can dodge it, that should happen.

Also you should be able to use move combos, like they do in the anime.

And, it should no longer be done on a turn basis, it should just be shout the order, pokemon attacks, this would make battles more intense as youve no time for a breather

And also have more than 4 moves, why do pokemon forget moves??? --Guardian of Earth |SGMS 2010

Magby → (Friendship) → Magmar → (Fire Stone) → Magmortar
Elekid → (Friendship) → Electabuzz → (Thunder Stone) → Electivire
Budew → (Friendship) → Roselia → (Leaf Stone) → Roserade
Eevee → (Leaf Stone) → Leafeon

Just a few examples, I could go on forever. Cipher (Talk) 00:09, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

True, and it makes the game harder for n00bs. --Clarky13 00:12, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
yes, definitely. but you have to realize, they added the evos late, and if they use simple means, theyd technically be obtainable in previous games. see Mamoswine and Lickilicky. -- MAGNEDETH 02:09, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Well, yeah, but if they started over, I'd hope they'd do something like this. Cipher (Talk) 12:10, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
oh yes, definitely, its just, theres so many evolution disasters right now, i couldnt be bothered to list them. Eevee -> Glaceon = Ice Stone? its just a tough call. -- MAGNEDETH 23:19, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
An Ice Stone could be good for Snorunt → Froslass too, but it sounds kinda weird, so.. Frost Stone? x3 And Moon Stone + Sun Stone for Eevee → Umbreon and Espeon, respectively. - espeonA 23:58, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
exactly, but i think some Pokemon, like Magnezone get a free ride, as they should make a level limit to get Zone, say, 40 or something. Magneton is sort of in purgatory now. poor guy. -- MAGNEDETH 00:19, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
Ok, maybe Ice Rock sounds WEIRD...maybe level up + ice rock And maybe Team Rocket makes an extra appearance in DP like the anime, which I love. And the quote Gotta Catch 'Em All would be said by a person, and We're Blasting Off Again would be said. And after the Sinnoh Dex was completed, you could fight them, and out comes Wobbuffet, Mime Jr., Seviper, Carnivine, and, of course, MEOWTH. |\/| | Z Z | |\| G Y 3 Z 02:44, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Gender Differences

Here's a thought; they could have made Unown less useless. I still like Unown, but I would like him considerably more if he was wasn't just a novelty. I know they're for collecting, but what's the point of having 28 of what's essentially the same Pokémon if you can't actually use any of them? Bardock 10:35, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

its true, i wish they were for more that collection, but, thats it really. though, maybe an evolution would suit them well? -- MAGNEDETH 17:47, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
That'd be cool, although that begs the question; what would they evolve into given that there's 28 of them? On the other hand, I just saw MisterE13's idea for lowercase prevos, and I think that's a brilliant idea. -- Bardock 05:15, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

What about making Bounce similar to Hi Jump Kick, with the recoil part if it misses? --PsychicRider 18:08, 31 January 2009 (UTC)

hmm, not a bad idea...let me think about that one. -- MAGNEDETH 18:12, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
Maybe Wonder Guard should have more Pokémon or at least Shedinja wouldn't have SO MANY WEAKNESSES!!! And maybe Curse would have the effect of the Template:Type2 and a move called TrainHaunt could be the other type. |\/| | Z Z | |\| G Y 3 Z 03:35, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

  • Player Sprites should be customizable, with hats, clothes, etc.
  • One party pokémon should be allowed out of ball for increased happiness.
  • Also steel-type attacks should be effective against more than just ice and rock, same with dragon only being effective against itself.

R/S/E Master Ball

Another thing they could do is move the location of the Master Ball out of the Magma/Aqua Hideout, to avoid the problem so many people face by just glossing over it and discover that they are then unable to obtain it due to the hideout being locked after Team Magma/Aqua's defeat. -- Bardock 07:32, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Fail. Sorry, but that really sucks, and its a flaw in the design of the game. --MiekL94 21:40, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
the fact they hid the Master Ball sucks, but, first off, its just one of the many things that was wrong with RSE, and secondly, it doesnt really carry enough importance for the article. -- MAGNEDETH 21:52, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Just Thought Of It

Feebas is too hard to get. As if getting a Milotic was easy. I will tell you a story, and the links are below. I looked in the Pokédex for Feebas. It was only avalible in the North part of Mt. Coronet. I went there. I traveled around with my three rods. Couldn't find one. I looked up in Bulbapedia. It said only 4 spots were avalible. Kept looking. Nothing. Looked up on Marriland's. Said with Super Rod. Started fishing. Nothing. Kept going. I was about to give up, but, then, BOOM! I saw it. Feebas. It was a boy, too. Level 16. I used a Dusk Ball. But NO! It failed. I was so afraid it would flee. But it used Splash. I was so happy. Used another. IT WAS CAUGHT!!! Yay! I'm so happy! So don't forget, make him easier to catch. And now...

It can't be Fire/Dragon. It has wings (Fly, Puffy, Fly!). If it had Levitate (Deja vu?) then it wouldn't have Blaze. And without Blaze, it wouldn't be a normal kind of starter. And then Red/Firered gets junked. And Mismagius should be Ghost/Psychic.---- |\/| | Z Z | |\| G Y E Z 17:30, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Regarding the possibilities of a dual-typed move

I saw an older discussion somewhere up there. Look, it's impossible for a dual-typed move. Pokémon like Geodude would be killed by Lotad. Rock/Ground type squashed by a double-STAB quad effective move. That's, like...40 times the damage. No matter what, your opponent is doomed. Even worse, a normal/rock typed move used on Aggron without STAB. That'd be one SIXTEENTH of the damage. In conclusion, dual-typed moves are a 0.001%. -.- In case I'm wrong. =P ΘρtιmαtumTalk 13:52, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Better typing

  • Lapras should be pure Water
  • Feraligatr should be Water/Dark or Water/Fighting
  • Electivire should be Electric/Fighting
  • The Magby line should be Fire/Posion

  • why
  • why
  • that actually makes sense.
  • why
-- MAGNEDETH 22:08, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Why is Lapras part Ice, I don't know. Same goes for Cloyster. The Magby line is because they're the SMOG Pokémon. Feraligatr eats people, is menacing, and will probably eat stuff. Living stuff. Oh, and Glalie should be Ice/Rock. - unsigned comment from Anangryzapdos (talkcontribs)

Nidoran ♂ & ♀ would be put together as a gender difference >> and then the National Dex order would be totally f***ed up u_u --InvocK 17:33, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

its a do over, think 4th dimensionally! the National Dex doesnt exist! -- MAGNEDETH 22:08, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

My suggestions:

  • Improve fire-types. Their movepools should increase (maybe to incorporate Dragon-type attacks, giving fire-types a sort of Boltbeam) and more should be done to make fire-types different from each other: giving Ninetales Psychic attacks, Rapidash Earthquake, etc.
  • Remove the crappier Pokémon. There's little reason for Igglybuff and Cleffa to exist, and who really likes Luvdisc?
  • Type changes: Poison should be SE against Normal, Ground should not be SE against Fire. Also, I disagree with Steel not being weak to Fighting out of balance concerns - it's already such an overpowered defensive type that we need to maintain all of its weaknesses.
  • After the Special split, Tentacruel should've gotten Special Attack instead of Special Defense.

Just my thoughts. MaskedFalcon 00:44, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Incidentally, this is the wrong place to say it, but the Charizard you put into the Bad Picture template had me laughing for a full minute. MaskedFalcon 00:46, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

I don't want to talk for MAGNEDETH here, but here's my input.
  • Crappier Pokémon are there so the fully evolved Pokémon aren't there at the start. OR something... made sense in my mind
  • I think the point of Normal is to be a base; not super effective against anything, weak against only 1 thing. Ground > Fire makes sense, but if it's for balance, idk.

The Dark Fiddler - Is teh Pedia laggin 4 u 2? 00:53, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

By crappy, I mean Pokémon that are just bad designs, not ones that are useless. I like Rapidash, after all. But that's because it's pretty cool. Luvdisc isn't.

If it were left up to me I'd ax a lot of Pokémon, including most of the 3rd and 4th generation legendaries, but I don't know if MAGNEDETH has the same tastes as me, or whether he wants to delete Pokémon to begin with.

Both of my type changes are for balance purposes. It's the only way my feeble mind could figure out to weaken Ground and buff Poison and Fire. MaskedFalcon 02:38, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

remove the fighting weakness, but, add a Poison weakness to Steel. cmon, what happens when Acid meets metal? it eats it! -- MAGNEDETH 03:34, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
That's great! MaskedFalcon 04:12, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Go outside, build a small fire, and throw a shovelfull of dirt on it. That's why Fire is weak to Ground. Diachronos 07:16, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Pokemon types that should have been in my opinion

  • Magmar: Fire/Dragon, Magby remains pure Fire
  • Nidoran, Male and Female: Pure Ground
  • Nidorina, Nidorino, Nidoking, Nidoqueen: All Ground/Dragon
  • Koffing and Weezing: Ghost/Poison instead of pure Poison
  • Horsea and Seadra: Both Water/Dragon
  • Voltorb and Electrode: Both removed and replaced with two Electric/Poison types

GEN 2:

  • Hoothoot: Psychic/Flying
  • Natu and Xatu: Fire/Psychic; have Levitate to cover for Flying
  • Shuckle: Rock/Ghost instead of Bug/Rock (don't ask me why)
  • Lugia: Ice/Flying not Psychic/Flying
  • Bellossom: Grass/Poison instead of pure Grass

GEN 3:

  • Sceptile: Grass/Dragon
  • Trapinch: Ground/Bug
  • Swablu: Dragon/Flying like Altaria
  • Milotic: Water/Dragon, unlike Gyarados
  • Ninjask: Bug/Dark

GEN 4:

  • Lumineon: Water/Psychic
  • Magmortar: Fire/Dragon
  • Electivire: Electric/Ground

Regarding Legendaries

Another thing that annoys me is that whenever a Legendary is seen in a Pokemon film, or is written in a book, its nearly always unique. Like Dialga and Palkia. They could have made it so that in the Rise of Darkrai, several Dialga and Palkia appear. And for goodness sake! There's more than one Darkrai. There's one and the film and a different one in DP104. Yet lots of people think there's only one. And don't get me started on Heatran.

Mewtwo, Arceus, Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf, those five, should be the only unique ones out of all legendaries. - unsigned comment from Dusknoir477 (talkcontribs)

How about that poison works super effective on water too (that's what I think that should happen), beacuse poison in water kills everything that lives in it, And ice should have more resistances then just ice, because it's lame to only resist yourself. It should resist water or someting like that too. Mijzelffan 16:55, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
