Attention: Before you post

Since this has happened repeatedly, here is a list of Pokémon belonging to rivals/recurring in the anime that I wish you would not ask me about making them in your userspace. These Pokémon did have articles before but the Editorial Board agreed upon them being merged into the Trainer's article. Here is the list:

  • Gary's Nidoking
  • Gary's Nidoqueen
  • Drew's Flygon
  • Drew's Masquerain
  • Drew's Absol
  • Drew's Butterfree
  • Harley's Banette
  • Harley's Ariados
  • Harley's Octillery
  • Harley's Wigglytuff
  • Paul's Azumarill
  • Paul's Stantler
  • Paul's Weavile
  • Paul's Gliscor
  • Paul's Ninjask
  • Paul's Drapion
  • Zoey's Mismagius
  • Nando's Sunflora
  • Kenny's Alakazam
  • Kenny's Breloom
  • Casey's Elekid
  • Happy - Ritchie's Butterfree
  • Cruise - Ritchie's Pupitar
  • Rose - Ritchie's Taillow

There are more than this, but most of the others were Gym Leader/Elite Four/Frontier Brain Pokémon and I have yet to be asked about recreating them.

If you would be so kind, try to avoid asking about these Pokémon. The main reason being the obvious one: they were already here and deemed unnotable. The second is about history preservation for the articles that were redirected and not deleted before then. If the decisions were to ever be overturned, the redirects that exist now can be reverted back to the way the were and history will be preserved. Moving a userspace article over the redirect will erase all the history from before. I recommend saving your work on an external program for use at a later time or write what ever information you have into the Trainer article itself. Thank you for understanding. --ケンジガール

Cress's Panpour

I think that since we have an article for Chili's Pansear and Cilan's Pansage, we should have an article for Cress's Panpour in the anime. What do you think? Satoshi101 22:14, 27 December 2011 (UTC)

Cress's Panpour has appeared only in one episode. Please read this before making that page. -- ✔Poké.geek✔ 22:18, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
Oh. Just making sure things are consistent. Satoshi101 22:22, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, as Poke.geek said, Panpour has done nothing of significance. Cilan's a main character and Pansear had an episode about it. --ケンジガール 03:34, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

Filb.de Images

He has a point though. There should be a written documentation proving they exist. Voice actors are a good source but it was such a long time ago and there was never a quote given other than "voice actors said so". --ケンジガール 03:34, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

Carter Cathcart

I've noticed back in February you moved Carter Cathcart to Jimmy Zoppi. However, Jimmy Zoppi is not his real name. It's James Carter Cathcart. I don't know why you changed it, but I think it should be at either James Carter Cathcart or Carter Cathcart. Just like how Kayzie Rogers' article is not titled "Jamie Peacock." サトシ 19:17, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

First of all, I never moved Carter Cathcart to Jimmy Zoppi. All I did was redirect the name. The page was always Jimmy Zoppi and no one ever attempted to move it. Second, I didn't know that was his real name back then. People will voice there opinions on the move on the talk page and we'll see what happens. --ケンジガール 22:50, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

EP081

Hey KG, we're having a small issue with EP081. A user is changing the page to say it is the first episode of the Orange Islands Saga while it's listed as the last episode of the Indigo League on all the other pages on here. Is he right or no? We've tried undoing him twice, but he just undos our edits and I don't feel like edit warring. Thanks! --Pokemaster97 01:52, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure the user is saying it is Season 2 because it is included on the Orange Islands DVD boxset. However, it really is a Season 1 episode. Season 1 theme, belongs to the Indigo arc, etc. But I agree a MOD intervention would be great. --HoennMaster 05:28, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

?

Umm I'm not sure if you're the person to ask about this and I'm also not sure if this is where I'm supposed to ask you, but I had a question. Is there an article that lists all the pronunciations for every Pokémon, because I haven't been able to find one and I wanted to make that article if it doesn't exist (assuming there's nothing wrong with that). I just wanted to make sure I didn't make the same article twice and it seems like something that would have been made by now. Thanks Frenchhorn 21:18, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

We don't list pronunciations because there is no official agreement on pronunciations. All forms of media differ on some Pokemon, be it the characters or narrator of the anime, announcers in the games, or even Nintendo themselves in various publications. -- MAGNEDETH 21:51, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
Because this such a reccouring topic, why don't we make an page (either in the userspace or in mainspace) with all the known pronunciations for each Pokémon? Truthseeker4449 22:46, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

Talk:Ursula's Gabite

Hi Kenji, I want to get your opinion on whether Ursula's Gabite is actually female or not. Though it has the appearance of a girl, I dont think any male Gabite have appeared in the anime, besides the Mystery Dungeon one, which had the appearance of a female. Since the anime (possibly) only uses the female's design, Ursula's Gabite could be of either gender, and I think it should be treated like any other Pokemon with gender differences until a male is seen, for example Dodrio. Vuvuzela2010 Δ 17:24, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

The difference between Gabite and Dodrio is that Gabite is a Generation IV Pokémon while Dodrio isn't. But I have to admit this is walking down a dangerous road of uncertainty with the whole Mystery Dungeon special. This would also have to mean dealing with other Pokémon who we label by their gender difference, not just Gabite. Shinx, Buizel, Bibarel, Garchomp, and Gible are just a few of them. --ケンジガール 08:58, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

Please be patient, I am still working on it. I'd rather you not discuss this before I have shown my prototype (Userspace article) to her. サトシ 22:21, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
OK, now it's ready. What do you think, Kenji? サトシ 00:14, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
I really don't see this being mainspaced to be honest. All of this can fit perfectly on her page. They also didn't do that much. --ケンジガール 05:56, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
Well the thing is Plusle and Minun are her other main Pokémon. I think needing more than 2 episodes, a cameo in another episode, and a movie cameo (in the credits) is a lot to ask, considering the fact that unlike her other Pokémon (except Gabite) have only made major appearances in 1 episode, and never appearing after that. I don't see why they should be treated as Trainers-Pokémon-of-the-day. サトシ 00:14, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
All Plusle and Minun did was scare Dawn and battled, nothing else. PattyMan 00:22, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
They were in a contest, though. And not to mention her Gabite just did contests, nothing else. サトシ 00:31, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
Why do you compare to Gabite? He is the primary of her, have nothing to discuss, PluMinus have did nothing after his debut appearance and to complete the article that you did is copy and paste this on the main page of Ursula.--Hikaru Wazana 01:35 - 6 January 2012 (UTC)
They did appear after their debut a few times. They even cameoed in the 14th movie credits. Who could ask for more? And I'm not the only one who suggested this, another user previously did. Sorry if I was too lazy to write a summary myself but I was hoping to use what I pasted there as a starting point. サトシ 23:31, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
They appeared only in three episodes and aren't her signature Pokémon. A cameo in the movie credits is hardly a reason to give them an article. --ケンジガール 02:43, 7 January 2012 (UTC)\
I never said they were her signature Pokémon. I said that after Gabite, they were her other main Pokémon. Neither did I say they should have an article because they cameoed in the 14th movie credits. It was because they were in 3 episodes, which is about the minimum amount a trainer's Pokémon deserves its own article. サトシ 05:58, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
"They even cameoed in the 14th movie credits. Who could ask for more?" - I'm sorry but that really sounds like you were implying that it is. Anyway, their first two appearances can basically count as one long episode. The other one was a minor cameo in the appeals round. --ケンジガール 23:49, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
Then I guess it should stay on Ursula's page unless they make more appearances, which is very unlikely since both Ash and Dawn's adventures in Sinnoh have long been over. サトシ 02:26, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

Lavender Town Syndrome

Me again, so recently I've been busying myself reading Lavender Town Syndrome stories. I noticed we don't have an article about it. I think it is article-worthy. It has lots of fan-based media and is highly controversial. So again, if there is no trouble, I can make this article. - unsigned comment from Frenchhorn (talkcontribs)

It is not article-worthy. It was a made-up story some guy made to scare little kids. I am making a user article about it, but it won't be mainspaced anytime soon. Pokedex493 01:21, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
Okay, for some reason my signature screwed up. Pokedex493 01:22, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

Sorry I think that was me. We have articles that come completely from fan based media, like nuzlocke challenge. If you type "lavender" (or just the letters "lave") into Google, Lavender Town Syndrome comes up before Lavender Town itself does. There are fan-fictions, Youtube videos, all kinds of media out there. Just because it isn't real doesn't mean that it can't have an article. Frenchhorn 02:09, 6 January 2012 (UTC) I think I can make a legitimate article for it, we post popular rumors quite often. Like the rumor about the truck having a Mew under it in RGB and the rumor about the scientist in the space center in Mossdeep that will allow you to go to the moon and catch a Jirachi/Deoxys is Ruby/Sapphire and Emerald. If we can present that in an article, I can present Lavender town syndrome. I think it's fair enough to add a section about it to the Lavender Town page. Frenchhorn 00:35, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

I'm the wrong person to talk about if fan based things are notable or not. All I know is I heard of Nuzlocke and the truck, but never heard of Lavender Town stories. --ケンジガール 02:43, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
Personally, I think a section on the Lavender Town page would be good. An entire article is unnecessary, but it's certainly famous enough to deserve a section on Lavender Town. --SnorlaxMonster 12:01, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Question/Suggestion

Hi. I've been editing several pages in the Pokémon anime section relating to the voice actors, etc, and I had a bit of a suggestion regarding to the voice actor "switch" (Oh! I'm so thankful that "controversy" is over). Anyway, since similar things have happened in other languages at different points in the series (such as European Portuguese with Season 10), and the VA is listed as simply: "VA A: EP001-DP139; VA B: DP140-Present", etc, I don't think it would be a bad idea for the same to be the case with the English since the episodes handled by TPCi is technically just a continuation of the 4Kids dub (making them different parts of the same "dub"), and that referring to each VA as being a part of different dubs would technically be incorrect (there's also the fact that technically PUSA/TPCi has been a part of the English dub from the beginning). At the very least I think referring to the specific VA's "cast" instead of "dub" would be more accurate, although it might still be a tad confusing for those unfamiliar with the cast switch (I know several dedicated Pokémon fans in real life who only noticed a couple characters' voices changing, and might be confused at the whole "4Kids dub/TPCi dub", "4Kids cast/TPCi cast" thing), and might get more information out of a more specific listing. What do you think? --HalloweenPistol13 08:09, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

That's sounds like a good idea. If you start, just make sure that you know the correct episodes they start/stop in. --ケンジガール 23:49, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
Alright. I'll get onto it! The only page I'll need assistance on is Ash Ketchum since only Admins are allowed to change it, but otherwise, I think I've got this under control. --HalloweenPistol13 03:39, 10 January 2012 (UTC)

Officer Jenny's Hurdier

I think that since Hurdier will be Officer Jenny's main Pokémon in Unova, we should create an article for it. We know another one has appeared in BW052, so that would be 2 (and counting) appearances. What do you think? サトシ 19:41, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

I agree. There's articles on Officer Jenny's Growlithe, Nurse Joy's Chansey and Audino so Officer Jenny's Hurdier should have an article. ZMT123 19:45, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

Two episodes only. Not notable enough. Unlike Joy, Jenny uses a variety of different Pokémon. At least in Unova. --ケンジガール 23:49, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
But keep in mind that it will be the equivelent to their Growlithes. What we could do, however, is just wait until it gets more appearances. サトシ 02:23, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
That's what KG was trying to say. More major appearances equals more notability--SandmanDP 03:30, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
I was pointing out that there weren't only gonna be 2 Hurdier, and that eventually it would be notable. サトシ 23:32, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

Episode titling punctuation

I noticed that the names of Pokemon episodes are punctuated on Bulbapedia with italics. I've learned that italics are used only for names of novels, films, television programs, and, when they were produced, Radio serials. Quotations are used for names of television episodes and shorts and poems, and I'm pretty sure something else. To open up episode articles, there's no punctuation in the English title, dub and translated. I know it would seem to be a long and tedious sub-project, but I'd be more than willing to help. Would you approve my doing this?--SandmanDP 22:18, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

Personally, I feel that the italics are better than the quotes. Quotes don't get used around here unless we quote someone, among other things. --ケンジガール 23:49, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
But shouldn't proper grammar trump personal feeling?--SandmanDP 23:58, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
It should, unless there is an executive decision deciding otherwise. Hi, I'm the executive decision. It is true that in general episode names are quoted, but that isn't the case here for two reasons.
The first being that when the site was initially being built, someone decided to italicize them. Why did they do this? I don't know, but the fact of the matter is now we have thousands and thousands of italic episode titles all over the site. This would be an insane task to revert, but it isn't really a paramount issue because of reason number 2.
They look fine. Ok, there's more to it than that, but the basis being that they are clear and easily definable among other words so it doesn't really matter that much. Add into the first factor of there being so many and you have to ask, is it worth spending such a large amount of time to fix something that isn't really a big deal?
Yes it's wrong, but it isn't exactly going to break the site so for the time being, or the foreseeable future. We have many other projects both in planning, and at the ready, so the episode names shall remain italic. Besides, this is Bulbapedia, we do things different than everyone else. It's what makes us unique. -- MAGNEDETH 00:13, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
Seems hypocritical on account of the grammar corrections that are constantly done. Why follow some grammar rules and ignore others?--SandmanDP 00:39, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
Did you read my reply? I gave you three different answers to your question. -- MAGNEDETH 00:55, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

One little question

Ok, I think you should already be tired of answering this kind of stuff, but I wonder if I have your approval to create a page for Drew's Masquerain and Drew's Flygon. After all, Masquerain was used to gain a Ribonn for Drew, used in a battle against Team Rocket and May, used in two Grand Festivals and Flygon was used in both battles against May in both championships, used to try to capture Arcanine ,had few cameos during the Battle Frontier and used against Robert in the Grand Festival.--Hikaru Wazana 02:58 - 10 January 2012 (UTC)

Please see this
And I don't believe Masquerain did enough to warrant an article. It's article was also decided to be merged as the decision of the EB just like Flygon was. --ケンジガール 04:12, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
About this ...
Just out of curiosity, but the Pokemon of Ash's rivals are more notable than those of female characters in the series?
I mean, Harrison has a lot less appearances that Drew have and obtain pages to your main Pokemon(I'm not saying they do not notable, just to be able to better understand the rules), and if you count only the appearances of the Drew's Pokemon and them Harley's give more episodes than the appearances of Harrison own.
I'm not objecting, just wondering...
Taking advantage of the post, I've been there a while doing a page on Ash's rivals. I wonder if she has any chance of becoming part of the site mainspace or she will have to be deleted as of Cynthia when I was working?--Hikaru Wazana 02:18 - 15 January 2012 (UTC)
If I may put in my two cents, the page honestly has poor grammar, poor structure, and just putting the Starter Pokémon, especially when many are unconfirmed, is incomplete and speculative. To put the "Jaywalking" in "Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking", the r would be lowercase ie "Ash's rivals"--SandmanDP 02:24, 15 January 2012 (UTC)
The page is not ready, I'm just presenting the concept to see if I can go ahead with it.--Hikaru Wazana 02:31 - 15 January 2012 (UTC)
Not even sure what you mean by Ash's rival Pokémon being more notable than female characters. I'm not saying it's impossible for them to ever have an article. I just need to talk it over with the others. The point is we don't need someone to put a page in their userspace when the page already exists. As I said at the top, the redirects can just be reverted.
And like I said before, the rival page would at least have to have a better format before I can consider it. I don't care for the fanon terminology at the top to be honest. But it can possibly get on the site if the format is made presentable. Maybe you should refer to Ash's friends.
And to Sandman, the title of the page is not really an issue as we can just move it to the proper title when it's ready.--ケンジガール 18:25, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

Trainer Pokémon sections

Hey KG, I was wondering about some pages that have lots of different sections under a "Pokémon" section. Namely the professors. For example, if you take a look at Professor Oak, his Pokémon sections say "On hand", "Status unknown", "Gives to new trainers"; and then it sort of forgets the section it's in so it has to remind itself; "Pokémon he gave away to trainers", "Pokémon residing at Oak's Lab", and "Pokémon that previously resided at Oak's lab." Can we reword the last three so they don't include the word "Pokémon"? It seemed redundant to me, and it makes articles like Professor Elm confusing when we have a "Pokémon he gave away to trainers" section and a "Given away" section. What's your opinion? Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 23:09, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

Possible new page idea

Hey Kenji, I know this isn't really anime related, but a long time ago a discussion was held on this page in which you suggested that we should put all the Watering items as their own page instead of them having their own individual pages. I decided to come up with a "rough draft" of what I think the page could look like and was wondering what you think. I kind of wanted to see if it was ok continuing to make this before I go through all the work of editing it. Right now I just have a section for the Squirtbottle but I would also add sections for the Wailmer Pail and Sprayduck as well as a section for their brief appearances in the anime. --HoennMaster 06:58, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

"Diamond & Pearl" to "Diamond and Pearl"

Now that we're going with calling season 15 "Black & White: Rival Destinies", for consistancy's sake, shouldn't that also mean that the titles of seasons 11-13 be moved to have "Diamond & Pearl" replaced with "Diamond and Pearl"? Seeing as the "and" is used instead of the ampersand in dub-related circumstances (like season 10).Despite how minor it is - calling those seasons "Diamond & Pearl" would be equivilant to calling season 15 "Pokemon Best Wishes: Rival Destinies".

I know there was a discussion on the season 11 talkpage, but the title of season 15 pretty much flies in the face of every argument against using the ampersand in the DP season names. -Thingamajig257- 12:06, 29 January 2012 (UTC)

From what I've seen, every official source calls the seasons "Pokémon: DP", not "Pokémon Diamond & Pearl" or "Pokémon Diamond and Pearl". Unless it was spoken that way officially. Maybe wait until we see the official season title of Rival Destinies? For all we know they're doing the same thing (Pokémon BW: Rival Destinies). There's always a change the ToonZone forum is presenting it incorrectly. If that would be the case I would say move those seasons to abbreviated form. We should be really naming them how Pokemon.com presents them in my opinion, which we are not doing currently. --ケンジガール 11:25, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
I don't remember whether they used "&" or "and" but Cartoon Network* tends to use the full name of the seasons in their promos, not just the abbreviations i.e the current style that we've been following. ♫♪ エイディニズ ♪♫ 12:22, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
Well we could move the articles to DP and B&W, which is a perfectly logical choice - but I was thinking that if we were going to stick with calling season 15 "Black & White: Rival Destinies" and not "Best Wishes: Rival Destinies" then the DP articles should have their titles changed to be consistent with that. -Thingamajig257- 05:06, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

Why?

I had been put to this usergroup by mistake. I didn't spam edits, all my edits are major, i edit every 20 minutes, and all my edits are in sucession. Yet i still got put to forcepreview. Release me please!--My r6g4rdz, TEH GIGA-UBER-1337-HAX0R(Mr-ex777) 14:02, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

The point isn't that you're editing the page every twenty minutes, the point is that you're making a lot of them. If you're playing the game as you write this, you could play the game first, clear the part you need, then write everything down in a notepad file, do some cleanup, and then submit it. Between yesterday and today you made 15 edits to the same page. You've failed to listen to repeated warnings about the preview button, you even got a huge one to use, so we have to set you in the forced preview one. Masatoshitalk 14:39, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

End of spoiler notice?

I saw an end of spoiler notice on a page about one of the episodes (I don't remember which one) and was wondering if it should be put on all the pages about the episode. If so, I would love to help out. Sambam124 01:48, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

Since everything below the episode information is spoilers, I don't think it's needed really. The one episode that does have should have it removed. --ケンジガール 07:09, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

Alder's Bouffalant

I've done some work on a page for Alder's Bouffalant, but even if it's not quite notable enough to mainspace just yet, I'd like to ask for some help on the move templates. I can't figure out how to get it to stop displaying "using Vine Whip", and I also don't get how to write Surf's debut place in the Special template. --The Great Butler 01:22, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

You know you're really supposed to ask first if you want to create an anime Pokémon page. Someone already asked me about it before and they even had the text saved ready. We try not to make Pokémon in the userspace so they can be put directly in the main space when the time comes. This was done because so many people were making Pokémon in their userspace. However, it's a rule I haven't been enforcing lately...
Anyway, it seems that you got the anime moves right. But for the manga, I would need to know the chapter it used the move in. It would be PS---. I'm guessing it's not known since it's not on Alder's page either. --ケンジガール 08:17, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

Professor Juniper (anime)

I've noticed Prof. Juniper has made quite a few appearances in BW. So I was wondering, would an anime article for Juniper be notable? サトシ 20:43, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

though she has made many appearences in the anime, her character has not been much more notablte than Elm or Birch, the reason we Proffesor Oak (anime) is because unlike the other proffesors he has been a constant character throughout the anime and therefore had a ton of info in his anime section. Because of the sheer mass and giant size of his page, the article was split, as it was for Giovanni and Giovanni (anime), if Juniper's anime section gets that large we'll do the same, the rules for this are a little different to how we'd decide if a rivals pokemon for instance, deserves a page :) Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 22:58, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
What he said. Juniper should at least appear in more than one series anyway.--ケンジガール 22:51, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

Crustle and Joltik

Hey Kenji-girl, when I was watching episode subbed by [PM], I noticed that they're using Batul instead of Bachuru and Iwapalace instead of Iwaparesu. What do you think? Is it the true spelling? Sorry about the stupid question, just asking because it can be useful... TheSeviper ♫ハブネーク♫ 12:15, 11 February 2012 (GMT)

PM is notorious for using made up romanizations rather than using what's official when they don't know what the true romanizations are. For example, they use "Deathmas" and "Deathkarn" when it has been proven that they are officially romanized as Desumasu and Desukarn. We've had a lot of problems caused over here because users trusted what they said. Like "Ranculus" instead of Lanculus. Now it's true that they have been correct sometimes, but we only take our romanizations from official media like stickers or other merchandise that spell the Pokémon names in romaji. --ケンジガール 11:30, 11 February 2012 (UTC)

Stop

Stop removing my work. What I am doing reflects both versions of DD/WTP. Dare da is listed first, then the English. You even approved it. Please stop making my work worthless--SandmanDP 00:35, 15 February 2012 (UTC)

I approved nothing. Pokémaster97 was the only admin that responded to you. And he did not give you a direct yes. --ケンジガール 00:38, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
Correction: Pokemaster97 is not an admin. --ケンジガール 00:42, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
It's called "Dare da?" in Japan. Not Who's That Pokémon. My edits reflect that. I know you are Project Anime head, but that only means you of all people should understand why I'm doing what I'm doing.--SandmanDP 00:45, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
It's still the same thing. Dare da just means "Who's This?" They even share the same article. You thinking I would approve does not mean you got my approval. Coming to me in the first place would have helped greatly. --ケンジガール 00:48, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
Alright. I know they have the same article. I'm sorry for not waiting for you, but I incorporated it as I was executing the correct order I hope I have your approval now. --SandmanDP 00:56, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
There was no need for it in the first place. Since they are the same thing, it's perfectly acceptable the way it is. --ケンジガール 01:02, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
There was a need, especially because banned episodes such as EP250 had WTP labeled when there was no actual WTP but a DD--SandmanDP 01:07, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
Everything else in those episodes goes by its English name. The WTP should not get special treatment. --ケンジガール 01:11, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
Special treatment? There is no special treatment. The special treatment you're trying to give it isn't special it is incorrect. If what I'm doing is incorrect, why is the Japanese screenshot marked Dare da and put BEFORE the English WTP?--SandmanDP 01:12, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
How is it incorrect when everything else in a non-dubbed episode has English names for everything else? The only reason the images have it is so there isn't "Who's That Pokémon" on both images. And even then there is a tt template on it saying that it's still WTP. --ケンジガール 01:22, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
Pardon me for commenting on the conversation Kenji-girl, but I said I didn't see a problem with switching the order of the WTP on some of the episode pages to match the order of the main WTP page (Like putting the Japanese Pokémon first then the international one), not to do all of this Dare da stuff your doing Sandman. He took it upon himself to do that. Just trying to explain my involvement. --Pokemaster97 01:23, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
KG, you are not looking at the big picture. The images will come. The images are not the issue, it's the inconsistency that putting the US WTP first before Japan when the Japan image is first. Leaving inconsistencies alone means confusion, and in the real world would also lead to improper findings and botched medical procedures and that leads to lawsuits.--SandmanDP 16:59, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
You're aware that you're comparing the ordering of some obscure information about decade-old cartoons on a fan-edited wiki... to medical malpractice, right?
"So, it turns out the doctor took out the wrong kidney and I'll be on dialysis for the rest of my life. You know, it really reminds me of the time that Bulbapedia put the English Who's that Pokemon before the Japanese one."
If this analogy achieves one thing, it's illustrating how vanishingly insignificant this crusade is in the grand scheme of things. Other stuff on the wiki needs work, and you're obviously interested in details. Please, find something else to do here. Bikini Miltank 21:54, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

Lugia M14

Swanna don't have blue eye masks on their face. If you look at the intro, the giant white bird Pokémon shown have blue masks.

Yamitora1 10:30, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

I see no giant white birds with blue masks here. The only thing close to it is Swanna which those clearly are. And I even checked the entire intro and there were no Lugia. --ケンジガール 10:37, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
Do you have a screen shot? I have the movie on my DVR. I know its not high def, but they look like Lugia to me. There is a blue mask, or as the Lugia article puts it spikes over the eyes, and where the tail is blue spikes. Wait until Volcarona shows up, he will eclipse one of them the second it appears. There is another one to Archeops's left, it is flying slightly lower. Yamitora1 10:48, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
I have a high definition of the movie in Japanese that was taken from a DVD. I've looked and they are Swanna. Because they are so far away their outlines become dark making it look like they have something over their eyes but they really don't.
This series is intent on not having any Pokémon from the previous generations appear live. It doesn't make any sense for them to have Lugia. --ケンジガール 10:57, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
Oh ok i see. I forgot that few Pokémon not from Gen 5 live in the region. Ok sorry for bugging you then. Yamitora1 11:06, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

Sorry to bug you again, I have a question

Sorry about this, I'm use to forums or sites where you can PM/e-mail admins, I'm still new to wikis in general. I never tried too hard to edit them because they are too techy for me, and I have heard many horror stories about childish behavior from editors and those who run wikis alike.

Anyways is there a list of websites that this wiki considers trust worthy? I came across this article http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/25353 about there being no more games for Gen V like a third version.

If that article can be trusted, shouldn't some mention about that info be added to the articles relating to Black and White and the Version article?

I know from common sense and reading the Version article that a formula has been followed since the beginning. However, if there is not going be a third version of the games, then some mention that the formula has been broken should be made on the affected articles am i correct?

Again, sorry for bugging you and/or rambling. Yamitora1 11:45, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

This story is quite old and it has been proven false by the person who made that quote. There is a Bulbanews story somewhere about both somewhere. Mana Ibe has already stated that they misunderstood what she said. She meant Black and White is over, not necessarily the Generation. --ケンジガール 11:54, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
Oh ok, lol thx. Yamitora1 12:45, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

Good evening!I have a question to ask. When I finish completing a snyopsis as I did with this one, can I remove the "synopsis incomplete" template or should I let an administrator know about this and he/she will remove it?----DJWolfy 20:37, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

You can remove it once you've finished. --ケンジガール 09:53, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
