New page

This time I have made a page that is definatly noatable, User:05308/Ursala's Gabite this page should of been made months ago, well many have been mace but none have been mainspaced, but i should, with your approval of course Lanturn....05308 20:17, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

For one, somebody has already made a userspace page for Ursula's Gabite. User:Crikko/Ursula's Gabite There can only be one on Bulbapedia and since Crikko's was first, I'm going to have to delete yours. And we are still deciding on the notability of Ursula's Gabite. --ケンジガール 20:25, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

Fair enough but why is the page User:Crikko/Ursula's Gabite and not Ursala's Gabite and why do no pages link to it ? Lanturn....05308 20:30, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

Because like you, the user created a prototype page. A page to possibly be mainspaced. We don't link to userspace pages on the mainspace. If you want to look and see if anyone created a possible article, try searching under the User namespace. --ケンジガール 22:09, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

Ok, but the "Nando's Kricketune" page was made by another user and looked like Crrikkos page, but now it dose not?_it looks like all the other Anime character's Pokémon Lanturn....05308 22:13, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

Nando's Kricketune was created by The Great Butler and was mainspaced some time ago. --ケンジガール 22:17, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

I know, it was me who suggested he make it, but why is Crikkos page for Ursla's Gabite not mainspaced ? Lanturn....05308 22:18, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

First off, all mainspaceable pages in the userspace are listed Here. Secondly, no Kenji, they are not deleted just because another one already exists. They are consolidated into the best article, not the first. MaverickNate 22:22, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

So who evaluates these pages and mainspaces them?, there are some pretty good pages here that are very notible (mine included ;) Lanturn....05308 22:27, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

Whenever I feel like there are too many pages on the template, I ask around to fellow admins about if we can mainspace them or not. That's mostly who evaluates them. MaverickNate 22:39, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

hmm. but User:Crikko/Ursula's Gabite must of been there for months and it still has not been mainspaced, despite being a notable and qualaty article Lanturn....05308 22:42, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

Hey KG

Just thought I would drop you a line. As leader of Project Anime, and a Senior Administrator, I thought you could do everyone a small favor. Can you head on over and check out my comment on Ash's talk page? Thank you so much in advance.--JediKnightDTV 16:07, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Thank you so much for updating Ash's party, KG. Ash is my absolute favorite character, and it frustrated me to no end to have to see his party out of date, and not be able to do anything about it. I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am that I will not have to see his party out of date for the next two weeks, until Best Wishes airs. I was beginning to think that it would never get changed (well, at least not until the premier of Best Wishes). Anyway, thanks again. --JediKnightDTV 02:06, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

Infernape

Now that Flints has made yet another appearance in DP191, may I request again that my page be mainspaced ? Lanturn....05308 18:18, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

Misty and Brock

How come there isn't a disambiguation page for Misty and Misty (anime), and Brock and Brock (anime)? Do you think you could add one, or is there a certain requirement that the pages need in order to get one? Littlmiget123 18:53, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

It's because Misty is about Misty in general, whereas Misty (anime) is more of a subsection to it. If you go to the anime section on Misty's page, it will tell you that the main article is Misty (anime). Same applies to Brock. --SnorlaxMonster 02:56, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

Wargle is confirmed trademarked romaji. Chandela isn't. We can't assume that it is. --ケンジガール 23:09, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

Okay

I can stop using edit sumaries to rant. But I can't see admins doing anything good recently. The latest closure of Bulbapedia has left a big mess. And I don't understand what is the admins' recent problem with Hepburn romanization. We've been using it on Bulbapedia since ever. But suddenly someone said that it's wrong. I don't understand this. --Maxim 09:18, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

I realize that. But many new Junior Admins were hired and they probably got some wrong information. Many of the articles were created before the katakana was seen. They or the other sources probably read the katakana wrong.
The admins have been very overworked lately trying to upgrade all of the learnset pages. Which is why they hired so many new admins. Try to be patient. We are working on correcting the errors. --ケンジガール 09:29, 3 October 2010 (UTC)

I saw your edit summary when you moved the article to the mainspace, and I wanted to apologize for not realizing that there were already other pages set up. I had actually done a search for previously existing pages prior to making mine, but thinking back on it I think I forgot to have it search all namespaces... which explains why I hadn't found any. Knock knock

Hey KG, I think you might wanna look at this conversion. As you are our PL, so I think we SO need a final decision otherwise it's just turning into a useless/forumiSH/flame war and I really don't like this drama type conversations. When you get time then please check it out, thanks. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 05:27, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

I've been monitoring it. I'm not sure what to do though. Maybe you should ask Umeko what she thinks. She is more fluent in Japanese than I am. What ever she thinks, I'll go with. --ケンジガール 05:52, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Not a bad idea. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 05:55, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Hey Kenji, I think we should update the Project anime logo. I made a draft version of it, can we put this (with border and some fixes, that you want to do) as Project anime logo? ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 02:51, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
They seem so separated. And I don't really like the size differences either. I would suggest a revision of the design. --ケンジガール 03:41, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
Oh, okay. I'll try to work on that. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 04:21, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

Regarding this!

Hey Kenji, this is going really out of hands. Users are creating new articles in their userspaces without even any confirmation. I mean Iris's Janovy? On what planet? Not trying to be rude, just want to say that we should ask users to stop making articles (even if they are in their own userspace) without any confirmation. Seriously, we need to put an end to it. Hope you take this under consideration, thanks. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 03:44, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

I really don't get where they got Iris's Janovy from. Especially to keep it a week after the supposed episode aired. We really need more guidelines to this userspace stuff. That article was made more on wishful thinking rather than probable speculation. We see Ash interacting the with Pokabu. But we never see Iris interact with Janovy. What's next? Iris's Munna? Dent's Musharna? I don't want to have this problem every time a new Pokémon is shown in a preview. --ケンジガール 04:01, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
We don't have Iris's Munna and Dent's Musharna but we DO have James's Darumakka and Adeku's Meraruba. See, this is exactly what I meant. I mean we don't even have a preview or a scan then how on earth do we know that James is going to have a Darumakka although it was my fault to an extent that I believed on #pm's BW009 title but that doesn't mean we starts to create Adeku's Pokemon articles. I mean this is way too ahead of time. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 04:11, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
Well there must have been some sort of synopsis for Darumakka because the article states that it was stealing food from Pikachu. I don't know about anything that implies that it belongs to James. --ケンジガール 04:19, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
Well, that's true but that doesn't mean James is going to have it. If it's a just a guess then people will start to create Dent's Daru or Iris's Darumakka. Anyway, can you please at least delete Adeku's Meraruba. It is so not needed at all and there isn't anything worth quality in that article either *emphasis on not needed at all*. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 04:24, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
My 2 cents: It's the userspace. Let them do what they like, as long as they aren't overediting or miscategorizing. If it's not true, then it can fester there for all eternity. —darklordtrom 11:07, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
Ok then, if they are doing it in their user-space (what so ever) then the user-space rules must be applied on it. I've seen a zillion of user-space articles in which users ignore the "don't edit your userspage too much" rule and they use *we are doing it for the mainspace etc* excuse and always (most of the times) get through it. I think you can understand what I'm trying to say here otherwise everybody will start stuffing here. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 11:14, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
yeah, I'm going to agree with Adyniz on this one Ataro 11:19, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=Shipping%3APearlShipping&action=historysubmit&diff=1225973&oldid=1225967

I really didn't mean for it to come off as biased, but I can see why the edit was changed and appreciate that the rest of my contribution was left. But to clear up my comment:

  • When I said Ash eagerly accepted Dawn's request to travel, I mean he did so without feeling annoyed or guilty. For instance, May got to tag along, because she laid some guilt trip on him, and succeeded, whereas with Misty to a degree and Iris, he seemed annoyed at being followed by them (Hence the dismay part).

But I think you made my point better. Antiyonder 03:17, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

I just like to keep it realistic. Maybe saying that he was happy that she was joining him would have worked better. As for the other girls, he just didn't like being pestered by them, not that he didn't want them with him. --ケンジガール 03:22, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

Re: Voice actors part 2

Originally, I wasn't the one who edited it, a user going by the name of "User:Thingamajig257" added the info on both the List of English voice actors page and Aaron page, I just edited the SOVA page to reflect it. Notability

Hey KG. I wanted to drop you a line. I am having a hard time with understanding this topic, and I thought that maybe you could help enlighten me, so that my edits can be better in the future, and not always having to be reverted. I am curious, what is the Bulbapedia policy on what constitutes a major event? On what is noteworthy, especially in regards to a character or a character's Pokémon? I am sorry to bug you, I am just having a hard time understanding. It seems to me like it is kind of a gray area. Is there an official Bulbapedia policy? If so, where can I find it so that I can read up on it? Thank you so much for your time. --JediKnightDTV 00:26, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

Major events usually apply to these following reasons.
  1. A new character joining the main or supporting cast.
  2. A main character leaving the cast.
  3. Main characters meeting for the first time (Misty meeting May and Max).
  4. An important character (Gym Leader, E4 member, Evil Team, etc) from the games making their debut in the anime.
  5. A main or supporting character revealing their aspirations (Brock wanting to be a Pokémon Doctor)
  6. A character of the main or supporting cast catching a new Pokémon.
  7. One of the said Pokémon evolving.
  8. One of the said Pokémon learning a new move or at least attempting to learn a new move and when they perfect it.
  9. One of the said Pokémon stopping its evolution process (Bulbasaur and Piplup).
  10. One of the said Pokémon being released or given away.
  11. A main character (usually Ash) or supporting character obtaining a Gym Badge (on screen or off).
  12. A main or supporting character obtaining a Ribbon (on screen or off).
  13. A main or supporting character gaining an important win (Ash winning the P1 Grand Prix) or suffering an important loss (Paul losing to Cynthia)
  14. The learning of or arriving a new location in which a character will gain their next badge/ribbon or any other important location.
What aren't major events?
  1. Nothing that relates to the plot of a filler episode. Take DP109 for example. Ash helping the Wailmer get free is not a major event.
  2. Pretty much anything related to a character of the day (catch, release, debut, winnings).
  3. Anything relating to a wild Pokémon of the day (evolution, learning a new move, etc.).
  4. The announcement of a Pokémon belonging to a main or supporting character wanting or not wanting to evolve. Happening is one thing, but talking or dreaming about it means nothing. It could, however, be trivia worthy.
  5. Supporting characters' Pokémon learning new moves off screen. Because it happens way too often.
  6. Pokémon using moves that they can't legally learn. Goes in errors or trivia.
What you basically have to know to tell the difference between a major event and a minor event is the impact it will have on the series from that day forward. Right now, there is not a policy on what and what aren't major events. But this is close to what should be known. At least, it's what I can think of for now. If you're still confused, ask about it. --ケンジガール 06:31, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
Thank you very much KG. That does help clarify things a whole bunch, at least for me. I think that this would be helpful to be published as an article, or maybe even as a Bulbapedia policy, so that it can help others, who might be as confused as I was, but not speaking up, for whatever reason. Also it might help cut back on the amount of reverts that you and the other admins would have to do, for edits that are not the best. I do have another question though. You mentioned about trivia, in the section about what is not major events. I get the sense that trivia is a grayer area than major events, now that you have explained it a little bit. Does anything that is not a major event qualify as trivia? Or are there guidelines for this as well? Just trying to get as clear as possible on this issue. Thanks again so much for all your help. --JediKnightDTV 19:37, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
Guideline on Project Anime, perhaps. —darklordtrom 04:45, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

It's not my opinion I've been discussing this situation with User_talk:PsychicRider and so many others on whether it's okay to keep that Trivia piece in Iris's page. How about you Knock it off and quit acting like a racist.

Yes, insult an admin, that's the smart thing to do when things don't go your way Ataro 00:15, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
What? Are you seriously saying I'm a racist because of that? That's not why I removed it. Iris's outfit looks far more westernized than the actual piece of clothing you showed. It had beads going down the chest. Iris's does not. The only thing similar is the neck line and the sleeves. Which I've seen many articles of clothing like that.
I advise you to lose your serious attitude problem or you could face a temporary block. --ケンジガール 00:17, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

Well, I did say it only "Highly Resembles" a Dashiki. But you know what this is to much, just forget it! It's just a small piece of Trivia and you won't let it stay? You all are of bunch of uptight (wannabe) know it all's. I'm not trying to insult anyone I only call them like I see them and that's how see you guy's. That's something you're going to have to live with being a Admin on a internet site means NOTHING! Block me if you want! Good Bye, and Take Care!~
Crystal Power 00:27, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
There are a lot of things I'd like to say "highly resembles" to as well. But I can't because it's an opinion. If it was okay to put opinions like that, I'd let it stay. But you don't help your argument at all by coming on to admins' talk pages and calling them racists because of a small pieces of trivia. What's that old saying? You catch more bees with honey than you can with vinegar.
If you can't accept that not everyone is going to agree with you, than maybe this isn't the site for you. But if you can learn to accept difference of opinions, this site can be a fun place to be on. --ケンジガール 00:49, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
A fun place to be on? Might as well enroll into Military Boot Camp for some fun while I'm at it! NOT! This place is full of obnoxious want to be know it all's. Everyone getting so upset over one simple thing. I never tried to force my opinions on anyone by saying the clothes only resemble a Dashiki. I'm serious when I say I've never been so humiliated on the internet in this manner. You can all take your fact, fiction, and rumors and rot if you want. It's late, Good night!~

Question

Do we need screens from any episodes that can be found on pokemon.com? If so, I can get 720p screens from there via the "coding".--immewnitythemew 22:55, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

Actually, it seems that Master Quest episodes are 480p.--immewnitythemew 23:09, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

Question

For the anime moves, what is considered recent? For some Pokémon, only the moves in their last appearance are marked recent, and I think they should get at least 5 appearances or something like that.--Burgundy 21:22, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

If it were up to me, I'd get rid of the "recently used" indicator. It is a unneeded feature. We should just state what moves it used, the first time it used it and that's it. But since everyone likes it, I guess it's staying. I say stretch it to 10 episodes. If 10 episodes pass without use, then it's not recent. It's ludicrous to go every week and change it. --ケンジガール 03:00, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
I think it should be more based on uses within that Pokémon's appearances. MaverickNate 03:10, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Yeah. That's an even better idea. 10 appearances without use and it isn't recent. Or something like that. --ケンジガール 03:22, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

More than two genders?

While lurking the recent changes I noticed you changed Conway's Heracross to genderless with the stating, "The Pokemon has to display the gender difference that was not the norm prior to Gen IV. If this Heracross had a heart-shaped horn, then it would be undeniable." But wasn't this Heracross shown after gender differences were established and because it doesn't have a heart-shaped horn that it's undeniable? :S Just because it use to be the norm, the fact that this Heracross was shown after an alternative was made, and it's not heart shaped..kinda justifies it as male. I don't go looking to start debates with administrators, I just thought it was slightly odd and wanted to know. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 01:55, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

The point is that they all looked like that prior to Gen IV. The animators may not want to change them. If a Heracross with the female horn was shown, then it would be okay to label it male. So far, a Heracross with a female horn as never been shown in the anime. Venusaur would be different. We now know that every Venusaur shown in the anime after Gen IV without the seed is male because they showed one that did have a seed: May's Venusaur.
That was basically my point. Until we see a Heracross with a heart-shaped horn, then we can officially confirm that any Heracross with the bigger horn is male. The same thing goes with the Dodrio with the tan necks. No black-necked Dodrio have been seen. Does that mean that only female Dodrio exist? I don't think so. --ケンジガール 02:05, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
Ah, alright. I see entirely where you're coming from now. Thanks for the clarification. =) Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 02:11, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

I was not edit warring

"Do not add information on the Cardinal Sins in their origins. You have just come back from a block due to edit warring. You don't want another one, do you? If you disagree, you should discuss it on the talk pages. You've been here long enough to know that" Honestly, this statement is hypocritical, as you disagree as well and simply remove it.

Anyways, I was not edit warring at all, I was adding to it. I was not constantly reverting it or changing others edits, as I have read the rules. I had done research on these origins and thought of them as plausible. - 050294 05:50, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Also, another thing to add, I edited all of those at the same time, so I did not know you reverted the previous edits. - 050294 05:56, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
Just so you know, I am an admin and the same rules do not apply. I have to use my better judgment so that false information doesn't get submitted. While it wasn't a full fledged edit war, that's how it usually starts. When something gets removed by an admin, you ask on the discussion why and provide your evidence and reasoning why you think it should be there. You don't add it back. There are three monkeys and seven sins. Do you see why it doesn't match up? If there were seven monkeys, then you might have something. Yanakkie looking tough, Baokkie looking fat, and Hiyakkie with its eyes closed could just as well be a coincidence.
I think the last forms of the elemental monkeys look like Dent, Pod, and Corn. But did I go and add it? No. And I'm an admin. Because I realize that can look opinionated so I brought it up on the talk. Not everyone is going to see the same thing you do. Not adding it is called playing it safe. --ケンジガール 06:05, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
I hate to be rude, but just because you're an admin does not mean you're always 100% right. Like for the sins instance; The Cardinal sins are actually more than seven, probably around 40; and so what if there are? Technically, there are 5 monkeys of the wise monkey motif but people forget of the other two and no one complains. I will add it to the talk page because I should but I thought I should inform you of your errors. - 050294 06:10, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
I wasn't saying that I am right all the time. I'm just thinking about those who wouldn't agree with it. Admins have to uphold a certain amount of quality control or else random origins would get thrown in there. If it's not there, it's neutral ground. It would be different if I deleted your origin an added my own opinion. Things like this need to be discussed first. --ケンジガール 06:15, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
Alrighty then, I'll discuss it. On that note, I'd also like to also tell you an interesting fact: Did you know The three wise monkey motif was actually influenced off of the cardinal sins and a mix of shintoism lore? - 050294 06:20, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
No I did not. --ケンジガール 06:25, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

As seen on Hiyakkie's discussion page, me, and a user named Jo the Marten, have posted reasons as to why it could possibly be based on envy. Hiyakkies name may also derive from the Japanese word okayaki, envy. Is this enough evidence? - 050294 09:10, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

You'd have to provide similar evidence for the other members of the trio, given that they're so closely related. —darklordtrom 09:35, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
We can indeed provide evidence for the others. Would you like me to share it? - 050294 09:38, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
On the other talk page, please. —darklordtrom 09:40, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
Alright, we'll post it later after we organize our evidence. Thank you, Trom. - 050294 09:47, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Undubbed Characters

Since we use the Missing VA template on Pokémon pages, should we used the Undubbed character template too? --HoennMaster 07:28, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

I don't think so. Missing a VA is one thing, but announcing that they are undubbed Pokémon seems unnecessary. It was made for characters that still use their Japanese names. But I think everyone can get why the Gen V Pokémon are still using their Japanese names. --ケンジガール 07:38, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Why

Why did you delete like everything???

Did I? Odd... I don't know how that happened? Thanks for catching it felinoel 13:13, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

New Section

On Anime Character's pages, would it be a good idea to put what there relationship is like with other characters, for example on Ash's page, (==) Relationship with others (==)
(===) Misty (===)
(===) Brock (===)
(===) Gary (===)
(===) Paul (===)
etc, your thorught? Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 22:07, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

What would you define those relationships as? felinoel 01:09, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
Not really. Too many separate sections. --ケンジガール 05:05, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

Kabigon's Mamoru

Hey KG, I've something to discuss with ya;

In AG172, when Haruka commanded Wakasyamo to use Kaenhousha, it used Honoonouzu and we count that as an error (so obvious). But in AG149, when Satoshi commanded his Kabigon to use Mamoru, it used Katakunaru instead and we don't count that as an error and count Mamoru as a move that Satoshi's Kabigon actually used instead (which was clearly an error). Any particular reason behind this? Can't we just add Harden instead of Protect in Snorlax's article similar to May's Combusken (we don't mention Flamethrower in the moves used section, ya see)? Thank you ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 09:17, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
Ah. The old Snorlax Harden v Protect drama. I've tried to do that in the past. The problem was that some users weren't convinced that it was an error. They argue that Protect doesn't have to do what it does in the games (even though it ALWAYS did what it did in the games before and after the fact). They also argue that Snorlax cannot learn Harden but it could in Generation I, which is when Ash's Snorlax debuted. The only reason Combusken got away with it is because we knew what it looked like using Fire Spin. Even if May said Flamethrower, we know that it's Fire Spin. We have never seen Snorlax use Harden before.
I say go ahead and change it. If people whine about it again, I'll take care of it. It isn't Protect and it's wrong for us to be calling it that.
And for future reference, please don't use Japanese names when you ask me about something. I'm fine with characters and most Pokémon but I am clueless with moves. It takes me a while to figure out what I would have figured instantly had you just referred to everything by its English name. Thanks --ケンジガール 09:34, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
Sorry about the names, I get crazy when I watch the Japanese version. Anyway, thanks a lot. I'm on my way and if any one bothered to undo it (which some people will do for sure), I'll redirect them to you. Thank again ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 09:40, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Ash and Paul rivalry

What officially started the rivalry between Ash and Paul? It looked more of a situation that can be easily resolved than an official rivalry. The confusing part was in A Pyramiding Rage, when Paul mentioned the backstory of his character (his character had nothing to do with Ash but with Reggie), and in When Pokémon Worlds Collide, when it first happened? PattyMan 23:27, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

ANN

I saw that it had Satomi play Mirage Mew. There was a colored 'I' next to the Mew on the former but not on Satomi. The I meant that it wasn't it. PattyMan 03:05, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

What...? I'm not understanding what you are saying. --ケンジガール 03:09, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
On ANN, there is a list of actors/actress that got involved in playing a character/Pokémon. Within the list, Katsuyuki Konishi and Satomi played Mew. However, I could not put them both down (only one needed to be placed) so I chose Katsuyuki to be sure that it was him. Now I know that it was a female who voiced Mew (making Satomi the official voice actress that actually played Mew). PattyMan 03:19, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Oh okay. No worries. --ケンジガール 04:43, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

Vandal Alert

The user WWWAJD has made nothing but unproductive edits and creates new pages that have nothing to do with Pokémon. The user needs to be blocked Asap! --Pokemaster97 22:49, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

He made that page you just deleted and in the summary it said "Ha ha ha" I don't think we need extra work to clean up.

about synopsis

hello kenji, i was wondering if, when writing synopsis, do we not reveal events that take place in the future? e.g. in BW007 Mamepato was revealed to be female, so for episodes prior to BW007 we refer to Mamepato as 'it' instead of 'she'? ---> AquaDragon 12:42, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

I don't consider gender reveals to be major spoilers. I say put the genders in. --ケンジガール 10:46, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
um OK, i was only using genders as an example, but if say a Pokémon or a name or a place someone is going to is shown but not revealed until a later episode, do we not include that detail in synopses prior to the episode? (another example (generically), a character appears in episode 100 and his name is only revealed in episode 102, so for synopses before episode 102 we do not include his name explicitly?) [im trying to say that when writing synopses, do we write from the point of view that we do not know what happens after that episode?] :) ---> AquaDragon 03:25, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
Oh. You mean a character like Tobias? Yeah, best not to include to the name. Say "the man" or "the woman" instead. --ケンジガール 06:03, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

Genders and Abilities

Here are the movesets for the new BW egg event (third event listed). People are already adding the Genders into the articles....what's your opinion on this? Should we add them and abilities too. I personally think we should leave them alone. --HoennMaster 22:26, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

I agree, the abilaties are far to generic, the writers may of not even thought about there In anime abilaties yet and mabye never will Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 22:28, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
It would be safest to remove them. I prefer anime confirmation over game. --ケンジガール 22:31, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

Improve don't Remove!

Why'd you remove those shipping pages other than being poorly written? Isn't that why we have the incomplete, clean-up, and stub templates! Can't the articles be improved rather than be removed? Now, I know you're an admin, and that you probably know what you are doing, but can you give me more of a reason why you deleted them? --Landfish7 23:49, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

There is a difference between an article that can be improved and an article that has a couple sentences of biased opinions. Bel was not flirting with Dent and Ash. That's an opinion. If you are not going to take the time to get your facts straight and follow the MoS, then it doesn't need to be made at all.
What's wrong with waiting for Bel to reappear so we can have more evidence? Why does it need to be made right away with poor information. I believe in quality over speed. --ケンジガール 00:00, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
First off, I didn't make or add any info to the article. Second, Yeah, I agree with the points you mentioned. Third, Yeah, I know I can come across as arguing sometimes, but really all I'm trying to do is understand what the problem was so that maybe I could help out with the article in the future, when it is recreated or maybe if I make an article in my userspace. --Landfish7 00:28, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
I know you didn't make the article. I was just speaking in general. And I encourage people to make articles with little information to make them in their userspace first and add to them little by little over time until they become a decent article. That's what I did with WishfulShipping. I am currently working on CafeMochaShipping and it already has more info then those Service and Imagination articles. Even so, it is not ready to be mainspaced under my standards. --ケンジガール 00:36, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
