Primal Reversion and Weather trio

I have removed the greater part of your edits to those pages since they matched information on Serebii.net more or less verbatim. I don't know if you necessarily copied from Serebii or if perhaps you copied from the game's script (and Serebii did too), but for now I'm just being safe. But just in case, you should know that copying information from Serebii's site is unacceptable. Even if you did copy from the game's script (or the ORAS site), I don't think that's really appropriate. The tone of our wiki is not the same as the game's script or the ORAS site; if you want to add such information, you should summarize and/or reword things to make it more your own and appropriate for Bulbapedia. Tiddlywinks (talk) 00:45, 5 December 2014 (UTC)

Okay, but I want help on those the correct way please.- unsigned comment from Jacob9594 (talkcontribs)

Mega Evolution Bios

Hello. I see you've been adding biologies for the new Mega Evolutions. That's great. However, please work on your grammar and sentence structure. I am going to revert some of these simply because the grammar just it's quite what it needs to be for an encyclopedic site. We try very hard to aim for professional level writing. Thanks! Crystal Talian 06:20, 11 December 2014 (UTC)

Tnaks bro, I was hoping some will help me on that. Sorry about the grammar. Its challenging to describe a Pokemon's appearance. Appriciate the help. Jacob9594 06:00, 11 December 2014 (UTC)

Citation in Biology Section

Hello! When adding something to the biology section of a Pokemon page, you need to state and link your source in the section. Just stating your source in the edit summary isn't enough. Thanks! Crystal Talian 05:05, 15 January 2015 (UTC)

Legendary trios

The fact that Meloetta interacted with the Forces of Nature in the anime is insufficient evidence of it being the master. The games treat Meloetta as an independent entity, and it cannot control weather, unlike the Forces of Nature. Trios and their masters have a joining characteristic; Meloetta has no such characteristic. Berrenta (talk) 16:30, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

Fair enough.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 16:31, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

Height/weight trivia

I don't know if there's any sort of rule about this, but IMO it is only valid to consider types for height/weight trivia, not Legendary status or anything else. While I think we may consider such combinations for BST trivia, in that case, there is sort of a reason for it (in part because Pokemon battles around the fandom are often sorted into tiers which roughly correspond to Legendary and not; and in part just because Legendary Pokemon almost always have strong stats). Height/weight, though, only have a very narrow importance, so IMO it's best to allow only one qualifier for such trivia: type.

Also, please use "shortest" instead of "smallest", as "small" can be synonymous with either "short" or "light" and so can be confusing. Thanks. =) Tiddlywinks (talk) 22:18, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

As side note, few of what you added wasn't even true (Hariyama is as tall as Mega Mewtwo X and Flabebe is far lighter than Klefki). Eridanus (talk) 06:49, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

Okay. Thanks for the head ups. Also could you guys work on describing the Megaevoltion of Swapert, Latias, and Latios please.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 18:19, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

Plagiarism

Please, please, please, do not copy-paste text directly from the official website, as you did on Cosmog's page. This is plagiarism. If you want to fill out the Biology sections, please paraphrase instead of copying text directly. Thanks. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 18:27, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

Okay I will do tatl, sorry about that Sir.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 18:50, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

I reiterate: Please do not plagiarize. You did this again on Greninja's page. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 05:40, 27 December 2016 (UTC)

Alright, but can I ask a question, who comes some of the other Pokemon like Zyagrde, Solgaleo and Lunala, who official imfomation form the official Sun and Moon website aren't consider plagiarizing? --Jacob Kogan (talk) 05:42, 27 December 2016 (UTC)

You can use the information if you rephrase it in your own words. Copy-pasting is plagiarism; paraphrasing is not. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 05:45, 27 December 2016 (UTC)

Okay, if I ever copy that again form the official website, I will rephrase in my own words, thanks or explaining it--Jacob Kogan (talk) 05:48, 27 December 2016 (UTC)

Hello. I just wanted to remind you to please watch your grammar when rephrasing things; some of your edits came out a little nonsensical. Also, please keep in mind that rephrasing involves more than changing a few words here and there, that's still borderline plagiarism. You should completely reconsider the information, and integrate it into the biology section where it's needed rather than just tack it onto the end if possible. Finally, make sure the information your adding isn't already there. Thanks! Crystal Talian 08:00, 28 December 2016 (UTC)

Alright--Jacob Kogan (talk) 13:08, 28 December 2016 (UTC)

Ultra Beasts

Hi! I'd like to ask you to please refrain from editing mainspace pages to say that Cosmog and its family are Ultra Beasts. Honestly, I haven't played far enough to judge this fully myself, but I am informed by people I trust that it is not certain that Cosmog and company are Ultra Beasts.

Bulbapedia strives for accuracy, so I'm going to remove the claims that they are from the pages I can find. If you believe they are Ultra Beasts, I want to ask you to please discuss it on an appropriate talk page. If you can present solid evidence for your case, we will be happy to re-add it at that point. Until then, I hope you can understand our position on this matter. Thanks! Tiddlywinks (talk) 19:16, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

Okay - unsigned comment from ‎Jacob9594 (talkcontribs)
FYI, please do not re-sign comments that have been tagged unsigned. This leaves a false timestamp. Tiddlywinks (talk) 22:28, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

Got it--Jacob Kogan (talk) 22:29, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

VA information

Please don't guess who voiced who, don't play by ear or assume you know, any other voice actor can have/make a similar voice. Also do not play by credits as the credits do not say who voiced who, just who has a role in the episode. If you want to gather voice actor information, you must ask them directly via any social media platform. Thank you.--ForceFire 04:16, 3 December 2016 (UTC)

Alight and sorry about that. Guess I am having a bit of bad luck today on incorrect information.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 04:20, 3 December 2016 (UTC)

Spelling

Please be mindful of the spelling of Necrozma. It is C-R-O-Z, not C-O-R-Z. You have misspelled it almost every single time you've used it in your edits today. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 07:00, 5 January 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know that, I aways keep making that mistake when typing Necrozma.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 14:18, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
Please continue to be careful about this. Thanks. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 04:38, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
Your welcome Pumpkinking0192--Jacob Kogan (talk) 04:40, 25 January 2018 (UTC)

Writing quality

You've been adding a lot of prose lately, and in case you haven't noticed, I and other editors have had to go in behind you and fix very basic spelling and grammar errors that you should not be making. It's very frustrating to have to correct such basic things as "Wickie" for "Wicke", "Gladden" for "Gladion", "revel" for "reveal", and so on. Please, use the preview button and read over what you've written to make sure everything is correct. Rushing to type up something as fast as you can just makes double the work for someone else. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 16:48, 12 January 2018 (UTC)

Okay, I understand., sorry about that, I tend to type real fast and not my mistakes right away when posting. I do use the preview button but It end to miss out on something. Thanks for letting me know.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 16:55, 12 January 2018 (UTC)

Necrozma

Please stop adding information to Necrozma's page unless it is absolutely necessary. The biology section alone has gotten massive in a short amount of time because of this. Ataro (talk) 13:27, 26 January 2018 (UTC)

Very well then, I will stop adding information to Necrozma unless it is necessary.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 13:31, 26 January 2018 (UTC)

Section editing

Hello, it is best to edit an entire page and make one big edit, rather than editing each section, it comes off as not using the preview button. It's better to do your edits all at once, rather than saying "I'll add the other info later", only to add it a few seconds later when you could've added it all in the first time. Thank you.--ForceFire 03:40, 29 January 2018 (UTC)

Hmm, thanks for the advice I will be sure to remember that.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 03:42, 29 January 2018 (UTC)

Writing large sections

It's great that a lot of these history sections are getting written, but make sure your prose is free of grammatical and spelling errors (a common one I've noticed is Necrozma vs Necorzma). Additionally, I noticed that your edit for the Cosmic Duo history section made heavy use of superscript templates (such as UM), and although these are useful, when used too much they can be a bit hard to read, and just make the section very long in general. Of course we want to have all the information, but we also don't want blocks of text that can be cut down. --Celadonkey 02:17, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

Thank you Celadonkey for the tip, good to know. I will be sure to remember that. On a side note I am curious to know, am I allow those user favorite stuff to my profile? Is that allow for non admins?--Jacob Kogan (talk) 02:20, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

You mean the usertags? No, anyone can put them on their user page, as far as I've seen. --Celadonkey 02:25, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
Good to hear, thank you for answering my question.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 02:28, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

Minor writing errors

Hey, while it's great that you are filling out articles with information, but be sure that what you write has no small errors like spelling or grammar errors. Be sure to proofread what you write, so you can scope out for any errors and fix them before saving. Thank you.--ForceFire 03:48, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

Sure thing Force Fire.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 03:49, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

Your edits

First and foremost, the "Biology" sections of Pokémon articles aren't meant to be read out like Pokédex entries. That kind of writing style is meant for, well...the "Pokédex entries" sections. The "Biology" sections need to primarily describe what the Pokémon look like. Second of all, please take a hard look at your English and brush it up. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 04:39, 15 December 2019 (UTC)

I will try, sorry about the trouble I might have caused for you and mistakes I have made.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 04:44, 15 December 2019 (UTC)

Tallest/Heaviest

The heaviest/tallest line in the biology section should only be reserved for the absolute tallest/heaviest of all Pokemon. The type specific info should go to the trivia section. Thank you.--ForceFire 05:06, 27 December 2019 (UTC)

Fair enough, question how come it when the edits are revised for this topic, they are not placed in trivia instead of just being deleted? Just curious that is all.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 05:08, 27 December 2019 (UTC)
Also I added it again but this time in trivia if that is alright?--Jacob Kogan (talk) 05:11, 27 December 2019 (UTC)
You can re-add them in the appropriate sections.--ForceFire 05:12, 27 December 2019 (UTC)
Thanks man for answering my question.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 05:13, 27 December 2019 (UTC)

Minor writing errors, again

I'm going to have to reiterate Force Fire's earlier recommendation that you proofread your work before actually submitting it to the mainspace. You cannot expect others to proofread your edits for you forever. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 23:49, 26 January 2020 (UTC)

I don't expect people to proof read as always. I thought I have edited it correctly but clearly I have missed a few words in the lift or didn't read it thoroughly. This might happen again the future but will not deny and take responsibility for it.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 23:55, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
What do you mean "in the lift"? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:41, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
I meant to say in the sentence. Oi, my minds sometimes moves faster than when I start typing. Hence I tend to miss out on several things.--Jacob Kogan (talk) 00:46, 27 January 2020 (UTC)
Well, please be sure to use the preview button before you actually submit your edits. And look long and hard. Users can't be expected to make the same kinds of mistakes over and over again, for other users to correct it for them. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:49, 27 January 2020 (UTC)

Pokemon of the Year results

Anything lower than one is not notable. Only first place is worth noting, every other ranking is just overkill.--ForceFire 18:50, 1 March 2020 (UTC)

Alright then I will stop with the overkill Results edits now.--Jacob9594 (talk) 18:51, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
Also going to help you undo my mistakes as to make easier and save time.--Jacob9594 (talk) 18:56, 1 March 2020 (UTC)

Arceus' Article

Sorry for undoing your edit on Arceus' Article. I thought I was undoing what that troll user did. Ratboy Jr. (talk) 01:13, 4 June 2020 (UTC)

It’s alright, I was attempting to do the same thing. I forgive you, no need to worry.--Jacob9594 (talk) 02:00, 4 June 2020 (UTC)

Editing

Please remember that you can edit multiple sections on a page at once. Thank you. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 22:21, 26 February 2021 (UTC)

Biology Edits

While we appreciate the updates to Pokémon Biology sections, they tend to have a lot of typos and need to be fixed up after. A good way to see if the sentence would make sense grammatically is to say the sentence aloud and if the sentence structure feels off, it probably needs to be reworded a little. Please make sure to double check your edits in the future, please and thank you. Frozen Fennec 13:50, 22 March 2022 (UTC)

  • Sorry about that, just now notice the message. I do try my best to spelling check this before reposting but sadly I do miss them even when typing them somehow. I do read out loud at times, and somehow they do feel right. I will admit they do need to get work on. Sorry again or the mistakes I thought I usually correct them or make them presentable for people to read and enjoy. i will try and work it. Sorry again for the trouble. Just want to contribute and add in any missing biology fact, given I am usually the one who tends to add them most of the time and when other do add in, its usually to fix my grammar mistakes or wording as pointed out.--Jacob9594 (talk) 13:56, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
    • No need to apologize, just wanted to give you a heads up to check stuff in the future. Have a fantastic week. Frozen Fennec 13:59, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
      • Thank you for that. You have a nice week as well.--Jacob9594 (talk) 14:00, 22 March 2022 (UTC)

A reminder

Once again reminding you to preview your edits thoroughly before saving. This edit was full of basic spelling and grammar errors, and was also entirely redundant, as the same information can be found later in the article. You have been reminded about this many times, but I thought I'd be kind and give you one more friendly reminder. I strongly recommend you do whatever it takes to make sure your edits are as good as they can be before saving from now on. Thank you and have a good day. Landfish7 04:51, 19 May 2022 (UTC)

This still seems to be an issue, judging by this edit. Please don't just expect people to clean up after your edits. Landfish7 07:49, 24 December 2022 (UTC)
^ Agreed. I'm not trying to be rude, but there are lots of good free browser extensions that have spellcheckers. Paintspotinfez (talk) 22:57, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
I have an App called Grammarly. It has done such wonder with fixing both spelling and grammar mistakes. I have used it several times on here. However, it is not showing up for me in the last few days hence the poor grammar and you guys needing to fix it. Hopefully it will show up for me again and I can make less mistakes.--Jacob9594 (talk) 23:02, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
If using Grammarly helps, that's great, but with edits like this, you still are not previewing your edits properly. There are several nonsensical mistakes there, which you attribute to Grammarly. A suggestion I can give is to use the "Show Changes" button as well as the "Preview" button before saving. Pikiwyn talk 11:23, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
Oh yeah that one, yeah that one I felt awkward about I missed it. All right then.--Jacob9594 (talk) 12:14, 18 September 2023 (UTC)
