:I was unaware of the 6 month policy. I will keep that in mind from now on. However, in some instances the subject of the old discussion is still unclear such as the availability of some items and when they become available to the player in the game, as in some of my previous posts; and there's no information about that in the main page or in the discussion page by any other user, so I just added whatever information I gathered. ::Look at it this way maybe: even if you respond to someone's "I can't find X" question, you have no way of really knowing if you've ''actually'' solved their problem unless the person responds (or unless they've given enough detail, which they probably haven't). It's great that you're finding new things, definitely; but if someone is not likely to respond, or not likely to remember enough to respond usefully, then it's just kind of pointless. And, if you've fixed the mainspace page, anyone coming by later can just use that to find the item easily enough (or they can ask again; and any response you might have made to another question isn't really likely to forestall something like that).

Welcome to Bulbapedia, Ishu bagaria!

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Changes button... Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! --Masatoshitalk 23:47, 16 March 2013 (UTC)

Old discussions

FYI, Bulbapedia policy asks that users refrain from responding to comments greater than 6 months old. On several talk pages, you have been responding to very old comments from people about items. So, as old as those are, most of your responses aren't exactly helpful to those people (or the average user). All you really need to do is address their issue on the mainspace page if it still needs addressing (fix or improve the stated location, or remove the item entirely, or whatever). At this late date, that's sufficient answer. Tiddlywinks (talk) 03:59, 15 September 2015 (UTC)

I was unaware of the 6 month policy. I will keep that in mind from now on. However, in some instances the subject of the old discussion is still unclear such as the availability of some items and when they become available to the player in the game, as in some of my previous posts; and there's no information about that in the main page or in the discussion page by any other user, so I just added whatever information I gathered. Look at it this way maybe: even if you respond to someone's "I can't find X" question, you have no way of really knowing if you've actually solved their problem unless the person responds (or unless they've given enough detail, which they probably haven't).
At any rate, though, I can't say it's absolutely wrong to respond to those topics as you have. I can only hope to give you some food for thought. Tiddlywinks (talk) 06:47, 15 September 2015 (UTC)
