Welcome to my talk page. This is where you can contact me if needed.

Welcome to Bulbapedia, GymLeaderJanus!

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Thank you for the kind welcome, CuboneKing. I have a quick question for you about editing my User page. - unsigned comment from GymLeaderJanus (talkcontribs)

What might that be? CuboneKing 02:44, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

I have read the userspace policy and made two edits to pages but I am still not allowed to edit my page. - unsigned comment from GymLeaderJanus (talkcontribs)

Oh, you need to make more than two edits before you're able to edit. The exact number I don't know because I'm not staff, but I couldn't tell you even if I did. Sorry... CuboneKing 02:52, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

Oh, ok. Thanks. By the way, are there any articles that need more urgent updates than others? -K- (talk) 02:56, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

Well, as we get more English names for Black and White 2 characters/locations, getting the other pages up to speed with the new names is always a priority. Keep watching Bulbanews for that. I'm a WikiGnome so I don't make very big edits, but I know many other users here enjoy fiddling with templates and overhauling articles, and that seems to be the thing to do nowadays. CuboneKing 03:04, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the info. I also have on last question. I have played many hack games and could greatly improve on the hack games page but it will not let me edit it. -K- (talk) 03:07, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, you have to be autoconfirmed to edit that page. Unless the system's changed since I signed up some years ago, you have to click on a link in an email sent to you to become autoconfirmed. I think the edits you have to make to create a userpage could have something to do it now, but I could be wrong (that rule wasn't in place when I signed up). Your willingness to help is impressive. Your edits

Stop modifying the origin sections. Project TCG page says that Charizard (Base Set 4) is an example of an article with the correct structure.--Den Zen 12:29, 26 September 2012 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than one edit per day and make sure you contribute to our mainspace more than your userspace. This policy was instated to promote people helping out in the mainspace, and also to control strain on our server. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! --Abcboy (talk) 18:01, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Changes button... Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! --Abcboy (talk) 18:01, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
