== Pokemon World in relation to real world notice idea ==
Could a notice template like (Template:Upcoming notice) be added to to discourage unnecessary editing and lower revisions that are brought the introduction of Galar, and to still allow for editing of previous regions. There also wasn't a notice up on that page before the full-on protection, which is probably why everybody thought it that it was fine to add Galar.

Master Trainers

In light of the edit warring, seeking an opinion before adding it to the page -- the Rhyhorn and Rhydon master trainers, Farkas and Eugene, seem to be a reference to Bulk and Skull from Power Rangers. For what it has to do with the characters, the Dinosaur-like design of Rhydon, or the tough guy demeanor of the two, could be points of note. Drake Clawfang (talk) 05:58, 1 January 2019 (UTC)

I can see that, both points are valid enough connections.--ForceFire 06:08, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
Cool, thanks. Drake Clawfang (talk) 06:13, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
What about the ones that were removed? In my eyes, they're perfectly valid references and thus worthy of being there. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:58, 2 January 2019 (UTC)
If you'd notice, Drake Clawfang provided two other points other than their names. That's why I accepted that one, and not the ones I removed.--ForceFire 13:05, 2 January 2019 (UTC)

Spammer

Hey, heads up. Mckenzie6361 (talkcontribs) has quite the talk page. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 18:02, 1 January 2019 (UTC)

Dealt with.--ForceFire 03:31, 2 January 2019 (UTC)

Special spawns

How should these so called "special spawns" be added to the Let's Go encounter lists? Without them, the lists remain incomplete. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 12:59, 2 January 2019 (UTC)

It's one of the things the other staff members have been discussing.--ForceFire 13:05, 2 January 2019 (UTC)
How's it going? Earlier today, a user came to me asking about it as well. What's keeping them from being added? Haven't you yet reached an agreement on how to display them or something? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 13:54, 2 January 2019 (UTC)
The way Chosen implemented them was the main suggestion, which I'm not against.--ForceFire 04:10, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

Articles for the mainspace

I've got several character and location pages completed, I was hoping you could have a look over them and hopefully move them to the mainspace if deemed notable and complete enough. The Marina Group page is needing only images, but I'll wait to see if you think it is notable or not. Also, all of the articles previously marked as not notable can now been deleted, as all the information on those pages has been placed into the Recurring wild Pokémon in the anime. PardescanSlowbro (talk) 03:08, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

I'll look at all your suggested userpages at some point.--ForceFire 04:10, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
Articles that are fine for mainspacing:
User:PardescanSlowbro/Bewear's Den
User:PardescanSlowbro/Pokémon hunters (M21)
User:PardescanSlowbro/Pokémon poacher (M04)
Articles I'm a little unsure of (they're notability), get second opinions:
User:PardescanSlowbro/Luka's great-grandfather
User:PardescanSlowbro/News Crew (M03)
User:PardescanSlowbro/Misty Village
User:PardescanSlowbro/Mountain Lighthouse
User:PardescanSlowbro/Unnamed Island (EP060)
Notable, but needs much more work
User:PardescanSlowbro/Coumarine City Festival
User:PardescanSlowbro/The Marina Group
For User:PardescanSlowbro/Pershie, it's not notable as of right now. Just wait and see if it does anything major in future episodes.--ForceFire 05:59, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
What about all the mainspace candidates I suggested earlier last year? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:56, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
Tide Song Hotel and Kantonian Gym? Never got a definite answer on whether those are needed or not, at the time I asked. Haven't really asked again since other things took priority. Looker events can be made.--ForceFire 11:44, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
Thanks Force Fire, feel free to move the ready articles onto the mainspace and I'll continue to work on the others. Thanks again. PardescanSlowbro (talk) 06:48, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
I've actually already moved the ones that were approved--BigDocFan (talk) 07:50, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
Thanks BigDocFan. I hadn't noticed because the links on my userpage are still connected to the articles, I'm not sure how the redirects are deleted though, but in the past I've seen admins move pages without leaving a redirect. Thanks. PardescanSlowbro (talk) 09:28, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
I've deleted the redirects. Admins have the ability to move pages without leaving a redirect behind.--ForceFire 09:35, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
Thanks. PardescanSlowbro (talk) 09:36, 8 January 2019 (UTC)

How are my mainspace candidates coming along? It's been half a year since I brought them up. Can they be mainspaced soon?

Yeah, I've forgotten to remove the "under construction" part, but still, I feel like it's high time that these pages got mainspaced. What do you think? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 10:57, 11 February 2019 (UTC)

I think you're better off asking other admins if those pages are notable. All I can do is re-iterate that the discussion among the staff regarding those articles just never took off, and with me not having any strong opinions whether they should be mainspaced, haven't really bothered asking again.--ForceFire 05:01, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
Okay. I'll give it a try at some point. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:35, 12 February 2019 (UTC)
Hi ForceFire, I've since consulted Abcboy regarded several of my articles, according to him the following pages are notable and can be mainspaced:
User:PardescanSlowbro/Luka's great-grandfather
User:PardescanSlowbro/Misty Village
Also these pages which were said to be okay to be mainspaced are now ready:
User:PardescanSlowbro/Lugia (anime)
User:PardescanSlowbro/Malamar (anime)
User:PardescanSlowbro/Deoxys (anime)
The Mountain Lighthouse page can now be deleted as it has been merged with the Misty Village page. Thanks in advance, PardescanSlowbro (talk) 04:57, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
Deoxys (anime), per notability requirements isn't notable, now that I think about it. I've moved everything else and deleted the lighthouse page.--ForceFire 08:06, 16 February 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for doing that. The Deoxys {anime} page can now be deleted as well, as I've since added the information to the recurring Pokémon in the anime page. PardescanSlowbro (talk) 04:39, 18 February 2019 (UTC)
Would it be worth creating a recurring anime character page or category to make it easier to search up human characters that have appeared in more than one episode? We have one for recurring Pokémon characters, and the characters of the day have their own page.PardescanSlowbro (talk) 08:53, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
No. There's way too many of them. And if the recurring Pokémon page is being called to spit, then a recurring human characters page isn't going to work either.--ForceFire 09:31, 20 February 2019 (UTC)

Do you know of any Bulbapedian(s) who know proper Korean & Chinese romanizations?

I just finished editing and formatting my List of common phrases from fortune-teller tents (Festival Plaza) in other languages. However, I am not yet asking you to check if it is worthy of mainspacing, but rather ask you a side question: Do you know of any Bulbapedia contributor(s) fluent in Korean who can review the Korean romanizations in my page above and make any corrections there? And/or any Chinese-fluent Bulbapedian(s) who can do the same thing for the pinyin in the same page? Thankee! --SilSinn (TIDs: 768426S, 123446UM) (talk) 09:26, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

Check the Staff page to see who's fluent in what (although it doesn't say who's fluent in Korean). I don't know of any normal user that can speak and knows either language.--ForceFire 09:38, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
The only reason Korean isn’t mentioned there is because there is no Korean wiki in Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis. The Staff page mentions two admins with knowledge of Chinese, 超龍Chao and Carmen (Talk | contribs), so I just asked them for reviewing at least the Chinese pinyin in my page. Carmen’s userpage says she knows some Korean, so I also asked her about the romaja in my draft article. Thankee! --SilSinn (TIDs: 768426S, 123446UM) (talk) 10:25, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

Template: Item for LGPE

Thanks for updating the Template: Item. I already updated the Candy page for the update. It appears that the PE doesn't show up properly, however.

Just one other request: do you think you can change all the "lgpe" to just "pe" for the sake of consistent conventions? Thanks. TehPerson (talk) 17:49, 4 January 2019 (UTC)

Fixed the issue with the game abbreviation. Also changed every instance of lgpe to pe.--ForceFire 03:53, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
The template works now (eg in Candy and Berry). While we're on the issue of updating templates, can you take a quick look at Template:Stats and Template:Pokémon/7? It's been a while since they've been updated for LGPE, so I made my tested versions of those templates and left the test cases in their respective Talk pages. Thanks! TehPerson (talk) 19:02, 5 January 2019 (UTC)

Oranguru's Place

Last year, I asked abcboy whether User:BigDocFan/Oranguru's Place was good for mainspacing, his only complaint about the article was its name and would speak with other admin about it. This was sometime ago and I haven't heard anything back though I have asked him about it.--BigDocFan (talk) 09:08, 5 January 2019 (UTC)

I've asked the other admins, awaiting a response. Personally, I don't think it's notable since it was only important for one episode. But since this series is on-going, it could be important in a future episode (thus could change my mind).--ForceFire 11:46, 5 January 2019 (UTC)

My trivia on protect and hidden power

First, I wrote "learned by most species", not "used by most species". Pokemon use struggle; they do not learn struggle. Second, I looked through the entire list of near-universal TM moves, and protect and hidden power really were the most universal of all of them. sumwun (talk) 05:14, 8 January 2019 (UTC)

Don't add back removed trivia. I can see from the table on the TM page that their are several moves that are near universal. Attract, Frustration, Rest, Return so on so forth.--ForceFire 06:00, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
This is a list of currently "near-universal" TMs and the number of Pokemon that can't learn each.
Attract: most of these
Confide: 24
Double Team: 25
Facade: 31
Frustration: 23
Hidden Power: 21
Protect: 21
Rest: 29
Return: 23
Round: 25
Sleep Talk: 23
Substitute: 22
Swagger: 28
Toxic: 23
As you can see, protect and hidden power are the most learned moves. sumwun (talk) 00:40, 17 January 2019 (UTC)

Bewear Rescues

Was wondering if User:BigDocFan/Bewear Rescues might be worth mainspacing as a running gag?--BigDocFan (talk) 17:33, 9 January 2019 (UTC)

The table could be presented a bit better. I think it's fine to have an article about, though ask for second opinions.--ForceFire 04:44, 10 January 2019 (UTC)

Pointless edits

One day, I was checking the log of blocked users and saw a handful being blocked for 30 days for “making pointless edits”. How does Bulbapedia define pointless edit and could you provide a few examples of what could be considered to be pointless edits (so that I do not make the same mistakes and end up like those monthly losers)? ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM) (talk) 05:26, 12 January 2019 (UTC)

Depends on the edit. Changing sentences to say the exact same thing as it was before, adding info and immediately reverting yourself, adding unecessary white space, are some of the examples.--ForceFire 06:32, 12 January 2019 (UTC)

Underleveled Pokémon page

I'm requesting that we should start a page with a list of all underleveled Pokémon owned by the trainers (excluding the Pokémon from the battle facilities). I detected that in Gen II games, if you chose Cyndaquil, Silver has a level 16 Croconaw, but its lowest natural level is 18. TheICTLiker4 (talk) 07:11, 12 January 2019 (UTC)

Spriteit has a userpage that covers underleveled Pokémon.--ForceFire 07:43, 12 January 2019 (UTC)
Does Spriteit’s page qualify for mainspacing? Because userpages do not get a lot of traffic and do not usually show up in search engine results. ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM) (talk) 15:32, 12 January 2019 (UTC)
In its current state, probably not. If anyone wants to know, just give them the link to the userpage and they'll edit it. Don't worry about it not getting "traffic". It'll get traffic if you share it around.--ForceFire 03:51, 13 January 2019 (UTC)

Usertags for tagging suspected sockpuppets and their sockmasters

I just made two usertag templates that could be worth your attention as to whether they could be approved for templatespacing:

Admins could use these usertags for temporarily tagging sockpuppets and sockmasters on their userpages (at least until such pages are hit with Perish Song) in a fashion not unlike what is done on Wikipedia (where they use wp:Template:Sockpuppet and wp:Template:Sockpuppeteer for the same purpose). ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM) (talk) 01:54, 13 January 2019 (UTC)

Just because Wikipedia does a thing, does not mean we have to do the same. We have our own rules and guidelines, and they have theirs. I don't think it's necessary. At all. It's basically throwing around accusations at possibly innocent users, even if you have all those parameters.--ForceFire 03:51, 13 January 2019 (UTC)
Well, at least I hope you understood my choice of Pokémon (Shuppet for sockpuppet, Hypno for sockmaster) for the usertags, even if they were just defeated with Perish Song. At least I had fun practicing complex wikicode conditionals. ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM) (talk) 04:44, 13 January 2019 (UTC)

Sorry for vandalising

So, how it happened. My brother was joking around, and did like, that, and he clicked on Save, though he didn't want to. Dunno how you can mistake left click with right click, but sorry :( - unsigned comment from SeeYaLater (talkcontribs)

Links to fan sites and theory sites

Do we provide such links or references in any article? Or is it the same problem of copyrights to avoid them? Eastern Goldfinch (talk) 15:15, 13 January 2019 (UTC)

Using fan sites and theory sites as references are not allowed, the former because they are fan sites and the latter because theories are mostly just speculation and rumors. Also depends on what you're asking about.--ForceFire 15:45, 13 January 2019 (UTC)
Aging in the anime. Can this page cover Ash's age theories? Eastern Goldfinch (talk) 16:36, 13 January 2019 (UTC)
While the page is basically fan speculation, referencing theory sites is still not allowed.--ForceFire 03:43, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
Ok. But adding theories is allowed? If not, then I suppose someone would have called for deleting a page like this... Eastern Goldfinch (talk) 20:01, 14 January 2019 (UTC)

Creating a new page on how Gastly can learn the punch moves.

So, you can say it's kinda a theory. But I'm not stretching anything at all, not even medium. Just some good ol' theory. - unsigned comment from SeeYaLater (talkcontribs)

Read Gastly's biology section.--ForceFire 16:19, 13 January 2019 (UTC)

Mainspace

Was wondering if you could check if Gladion's Umbreon and User:05308/Gladion's Lycanroc were notable enough to be mainspaced?--BigDocFan (talk) 17:25, 13 January 2019 (UTC)

I've brought them up with the others.--ForceFire 03:43, 14 January 2019 (UTC)

Request to delete unneeded redirect

I had just renamed a draft template in my userspace, leaving behind a redirect. I now want an admin to delete the now-unneeded redirect page:

 • User:SilSinn9801/Fashion/middle (Abcboy (talk) already deleted it, so don’t worry about this one)

‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM) (talk) 18:13, 13 January 2019 (UTC)

I also request the deletion of these two no-longer-needed draft templates:

‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM) (talk) 22:27, 13 January 2019 (UTC)

Done.--ForceFire 03:43, 14 January 2019 (UTC)

yo

so do u really think safari balls should be listed under items? i sure as hell dont. i dont think of that entry being helpful/important at all. --EternalDragonX (talk) 12:52, 14 January 2019 (UTC)

I don't have a solid opinion on this. I don't mind either way.--ForceFire 04:58, 15 January 2019 (UTC)

Sources

Was wondering if the following websites are acceptable sources

Pokemon.com wallpaper?

Should I add this to the Excape from Gengar's mansion thing (btw this is daytime)? https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokemon-online-games/escape-from-gengars-mansion/ If so, I can't do that because it's not a thing in Bulbapedia on it's own. SeeYaLater (sandbox) (talk) 18:33, 14 January 2019 (UTC)

Minigames from Pokemon.com aren't notable for their own articles.--ForceFire 04:58, 15 January 2019 (UTC)

Generation VII remake Pokémon

I was writing about it in the sense that all previous remakes have the ability to receive all Pokemon from all generations up until that game, either during the postgame or storyline. LGPE regress on this and only allows for the original 151 plus Meltan and Melmetal. Argentarus (talk) 06:33, 15 January 2019 (UTC)

I think post-game shouldn't count, since it's obvious that post game will have mons from outside the original generation. If LGPE adds Meltan and Melmetal, then that obviously makes the trivia false.--ForceFire 12:33, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
Then maybe more like "its the first remake to limit its own National Dex down to the generation that is being remade throughout the entire game". Pokemon from Gens 2-7, besides Meltan and Melmetal, can't be sent from GO and don't exist in the game as obtainable Pokemon.
FireRed and LeafGreen, even though the Gen 2 and 3 Pokemon only appear in the postgame, counts as it and all of the other remakes are being viewed in their entirety. FRLG has data for the Pokemon from the first three generations, they exist as obtainable Pokemon in the data. LGPE is the first remake where we don't get Pokemon from the later generations, besides Meltan and Melmetal, throughout the entire game; it sticks pretty closely to first generation's Pokedex besides the two mythicals and Alolan formes. Argentarus (talk) 23:10, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
"besides Meltan and Melmetal". That already makes the trivia false. They're in the game, therefore it is not limited to the original listing.--ForceFire 06:00, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
So then, how about additions? So then: "LGPE is the first remake to limit its Pokedex down to Pokemon from the generation that is being remade throughout the entire game, with the addition of Meltan and Melmetal." and "Every Pokemon from the later generations is absent, with the exception of Meltan and Melmetal, which were just newly introduced."
I've been stating my case for this so far and I'd like to hear your side. You seem pretty adamant about not letting this make it to the Trivia subsection Argentarus (talk) 17:43, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
The LGPE page's trivia section already has "not every Pokémon revealed at the time is programmed into the games" which I think is a concise and clear way of putting it. --Celadonkey (talk) 22:11, 16 January 2019 (UTC)
The trivia is contradicting itself. It's saying it's the first to not have any additions to its original listing, yet it still adds Meltan and Melmetal.--ForceFire 04:56, 17 January 2019 (UTC)

DoveSmith

Received a message on my talk page from DoveSmith which reads Please stop your disruptive editing as you did to Anela. You may be blocked from editing Bulbapedia if you continue. From what I can tell, I did little wrong to warrant the message, especially as he isn't admin so thought I would ask you as admin about this just to clarify any issues.--BigDocFan (talk) 10:56, 15 January 2019 (UTC)

Trying to make my show/hide usertag box work correctly...

My problem with expandable usertag boxes… (link to my PhotoBucket-stored image)

I am trying to turn my ridiculously-long box of usertags into a simple box of expandable usertag fields (using your infobox template as an idea), but I am not getting the results I want. If you see my PhotoBucket image above, you’ll see that I specified my headers to be horizontally centered within the box, but they only stay centered when they are collapsed; when I expand them by clicking on Show, they move to the far right (leaving a ridiculously-large gap to the left), and the usertags below such headers, rather than filling the whole width of the box, only fill an amount equal to the void to the left of the headers (leaving unsightly gaps to their right). This is my current partial wikicode:

{|style="{{roundy|16px}}; text-align:center; border:2px solid #000; background:#000; color: #fff; margin-right:8px; margin-bottom:8px; float:right; font-size:90%; width:320px;"
|-
|'''{{Anchor|Usertags|Additional Usertags}}'''
{|width="100%" class="expandable" style="{{roundy|10px}}; text-align:center; background:red; color:#000; font-size:13.5px;"
|
!style="{{roundy|9px}}; background:#000; color:#fff; text-align:center"|''Personal stats''
|-
|{{User Country|628|the United States|0000DD|DD0000|FFFFFF}}
<!-- other usertags below the Personal stats header -->
|}
<!-- other expandable boxes containing additional usertags under different headers -->
|}

I want both my headers and my usertags to fill the whole width of the box when expanded, rather than having headers to the right and usertags to the left. How do I fix this? ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM) (talk) 00:20, 16 January 2019 (UTC)

Possible Mainspace

Was thinking User:Super10ZX/Scott Williams might be notable enough for mainspacing so went to do it, only to get 'You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reason: A page of that name already exists, or the name you have chosen is not valid. Please choose another name.' Could you check if the page is notable enough and if it is, could you sort it out please?--BigDocFan (talk) 16:53, 18 January 2019 (UTC)

I think the biography section should be filled out first. Other than that, it's good to go. Once the biography has been expanded, I'll move the article over the existing redirect.--ForceFire 05:00, 22 January 2019 (UTC)
With help from GrammarFreak, we have added a biography--BigDocFan (talk) 09:08, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
I think that's good enough for a start (I assume date of birth and such isn't readily available?). I've moved the article.--ForceFire 13:08, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
I looked over for all available information, sadly a date of birth couldn't be found--BigDocFan (talk) 14:15, 23 January 2019 (UTC)

yo

dont know if you need to be reminded but im still getting internal error on the bottom of my pages. if you dont, just lemme know; i wont bring it up again --EternalDragonX (talk) 23:42, 21 January 2019 (UTC)

Not really sure what the progress on this is, I'm assuming it's still being looked into. The internal errors comes and goes on my end.--ForceFire 04:58, 22 January 2019 (UTC)

Hey! Every time I try to click on an article, I keep getting a "Error 503 Backend fetch failed" message. I eventually manage to get through after refreshing the page a couple of times, but it's getting frustrating already. Do you know what's going on? GrammarFreak01 (talk) 01:42, 31 January 2019 (UTC)

And the problem's just getting worse. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 01:55, 31 January 2019 (UTC)
We're well aware of the issue and is getting looked into.--ForceFire 06:39, 31 January 2019 (UTC)
Thanks. I'm not sure if the staff did something, but it looks like the problem has already been fixed for me. I'll check back with you if it starts happening again. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:21, 1 February 2019 (UTC)

Reverts

[1] Can you check this? It was reverted. Eastern Goldfinch (talk) 13:22, 5 February 2019 (UTC)

It was reverted because there was consensus that the armadillo tidbit is way too insignificant for inclusion. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 03:32, 7 February 2019 (UTC)
The word "armadillo" comes from "armor" anyway, so it's redundant. And the tail thing isn't significant, as many unrelated Pokémon share design traits.--ForceFire 05:02, 7 February 2019 (UTC)

Near-universal TMs

What is the definition of "near-universal"? sumwun (talk) 04:52, 11 February 2019 (UTC)

"Can be learns by almost all Pokémon". There is no set number, it is subjective to try and make up a max number. Just leave it.--ForceFire 04:55, 11 February 2019 (UTC)
How is "almost" any less subjective? What purpose does a definition like that have? With a definition like that, how are editors supposed to know whether the list is complete? sumwun (talk) 16:51, 17 February 2019 (UTC)

First to appear outside the League

I thought Koga was the first one because he appeared in his gym in the Generation 1 games. sumwun (talk) 15:31, 11 February 2019 (UTC)

He appeared at his Gym before he became an Elite Four member. That's why it doesn't count. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 15:43, 11 February 2019 (UTC)
Okay thanks. sumwun (talk) 04:21, 14 February 2019 (UTC)

Humor articles

Pokémon quest images.

Am I allowed to put Pokémon Quest images to the sprites page? - unsigned comment from SeeYaLater (talkcontribs)

If you mean their models, then those would go in the side series template, not the sprite box. As for whether you can add them, no, since the template doesn't have support of Quest information. That would need to get added at some point.--ForceFire 05:16, 13 February 2019 (UTC)

Good News

Trying to make my show/hide usertag box work correctly... REPOST

I had posted this above several weeks ago, but received no response, so I am reposting this:

|
|-
|{{User Country|628|the United States|0000DD|DD0000|FFFFFF}}
<!-- other usertags below the Personal stats header -->
|}
<!-- other expandable boxes containing additional usertags under different headers -->
|}

I want both my headers and my usertags to fill the whole width of the box when expanded, rather than having headers to the right and usertags to the left. How do I fix this? ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM) (talk) 23:55, 13 February 2019 (UTC)

That's also a problem in my infobox as well, though I never really bothered to check why it does that and just left it as is. The expandable tags is something that I'm not too knowledgeable on, especially when used in templates. Try asking someone that would know what's wrong with them.--ForceFire 07:12, 14 February 2019 (UTC)
I found the solution to our common problem, courtesy of Willyh106 ㅓTalkㅏ:
{| cellspacing="3" cellpadding="3" class="collapsible" align="right" style="{{roundy|20px}}; border: 5px solid #000; background: red; width: 320px"
|-
| cellpadding="3" align="center" style="font-size:120%; color:#fff" | '''Usertags'''
<!-- Header 1 -->
|- class="collapsible" <!-- show by default -->
| style="{{roundy|16px}}; background: #000; color: #fff" | '''''Header 1'''''
|-
|{{Usertag 1.1}}
{{Usertag 1.2}}
...
<!-- Header 2 -->
|- class="expandable" <!-- hide by default -->
| style="{{roundy|16px}}; background: #000; color: #fff" | '''''Header 2'''''
|-
| <!-- more usertags -->
<!-- more headers -->
|}
Just copy it and change colors, widths, font sizes, styles (bold/italic), headers, usertags, and collapsible/expandable classes (depending on whether you want to show/hide some usertag lists by default). Or allow me to turn all this wikicode into a series of table templates (like those made by Tiddlywinks for Fashion item) so that everyone can save time and effort when building their userpages (and thus have way more time available for working on productive edits). ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM💬 22:34, 15 February 2019 (UTC)

New proposed article: List of Pokémon that appear each in only one regional Pokédex

I made this article proposal which I would like an admin like you to consider for mainspacing:

Each Pokémon in my proposed list above has so far appeared in just one regional Pokédex (the one that debuted in its corresponding generation), as opposed to those who appeared in every regional Pokédex to date and those who appeared in none. Because all of the original 151 Kanto Pokémon also appeared in the Johto Pokédex, none of them is in my list above, thus leaving Meltan and Melmetal as the sole representatives of Kanto in such a list. Also not on this list are those Pokémon that appeared in at least two regional Pokédices (because I do not like to say Pokédexes), even if they did not appear in every Pokédex.

If this list is ever approved for mainspaced, then the {{pokelist}} navbox template may need to be updated to include this list.

I already notified Tiddlywinks (talk) about this proposed article for consideration.

On average, how long does it take for staff to review a proposed article and reach a decision on whether to approve it or not?

P.S. the speech balloon on my signature is not an inline image, but a font character escaped via an HTML hex code (💬, officially termed a numeric character reference), so it should be acceptable under the Signature policy. If I were to directly type the character without first escaping it, then the wikicode processor, for some technical reason that seems to apply to all characters beyond U+FFFF, would stop at that character and truncate the remainder of the wikicode, as I just discussed here. ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM💬 04:19, 15 February 2019 (UTC)

It will be under consideration. There is no "average" time an article gets mainspaced. It depends on what article it is and if it is needed. Also, any articles proposal should have the {{mainspace}} at the very top and categories should not be added to the proposed article until after it has been mainspaced. - unsigned comment from Force Fire (talkcontribs)
Is it safe to rename the page in the meantime? Tiddlywinks suggested removing the word “each” from the title. Also, you forgot to sign your comment. ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM💬 06:41, 16 February 2019 (UTC)

Fair enough, so once he is credited with one more character, he gets the go ahead?--BigDocFan (talk) 16:53, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
With Ryota Iwasaki confirmed as having 10 characters, can the page I created be mainspaced?--BigDocFan (talk) 15:38, 9 March 2019 (UTC)

Z-Move descriptions

I personally have not understood why the Z-Move descriptions when used in the anime or manga are not only displayed on their respective articles (where they definitely do belong) but also on the articles of Pokémon that have used them. Aren't those kinds of descriptions on Pokémon articles supposed to be reserved for improvised moves and combo moves, i.e. moves that don't exist in the games and thus must be described on the Pokémon's own articles due to those moves not having their own pages to be described on? Don't move articles have descriptions of the move specifically to avoid the need to put them on the articles of Pokémon that have used them?
I've always seen that Z-Moves should be listed with the same template used to list other moves used by a Pokémon, just in a separate section. Like how, for example, May's Munchlax and James's Mime Jr.'s "Moves used" sections have subsections for moves they've used through moves that call other moves, like Metronome or Mimic.
I hope you understood what I was trying to say. What do you think? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 15:05, 21 February 2019 (UTC)

I'm not too sure on the reasoning, but they're probably split because they're special moves? I've inquired with the other staff members about it.--ForceFire 10:25, 22 February 2019 (UTC)
Special moves or not, I see the descriptions belonging only to the move pages, if such exists. But thank you. I'll be waiting for replies. Hopefully they'll come soon. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 10:42, 22 February 2019 (UTC)

Latter half of the trivia

It says "transport a human being at sea." That was transcribed character by character, not copy pasted. Now that I've read it, what's next? Also I posted a new comment about TMs. sumwun (talk) 16:53, 23 February 2019 (UTC)

I don't think you understand what the trivia is saying. It's saying that there are Pokémon that can use Surf that don't appear to have the physique to be able to carry a person. It is not saying that they don't have the physique to perform the move. And you're "what's next?" comment furthers my suspicions that you don't understand the trivia. Did you really just read it and not try to understand what is was trying to say?
On the TMs, I already said to leave it. It's fine the way it is. Trying to make up a number is more subjective than the vague "near universal."--ForceFire 02:46, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
First, I don't think you can expect people to understand everything they read. Isn't that what talk pages are for? As for the trivium about surf, isn't carrying a person part of performing the move? If no, why not? And isn't it true that every HM move that involves carrying a person can be learned by Pokemon that don't look like they can carry people, making this trivium not unique to surf?
If you set a vague definition and list all the TMs that fit the definition, how is that list useful to anyone? How are editors like me supposed to know whether the list is complete? sumwun (talk) 21:44, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
The trivia was neither confusing or difficult to understand, it was straight to the point. There's a difference between using a move in battle and using a move to transport people. You're thinking of the former when the trivia is talking about the latter, and the trivia make that very clear. The trivia is notable, it's similar to the Iron Tail or Ice Punch trivia about Pokémon being able to use the move when they shouldn't.
It's simply a list of moves that can be learned by almost all Pokémon. If you want the nitty gritty specifics, go to the move article. Don't expect every single bit of information to be on one single page. Actually browse the site for the information you need. That's what a wiki is for (at least, one of). You don't read a guide book expecting everything to be on one page, you actually read the book page by page.--ForceFire 04:15, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
So if fly, waterfall, dive, rock climb, and dig can all be learned by Pokemon that look like they can't carry people, does that mean I can add this trivia to the 5 pages about fly, waterfall, dive, rock climb, and dig?
You still haven't answered my second question about TMs. How are editors like me supposed to know that the list is complete? sumwun (talk) 18:19, 26 February 2019 (UTC)
If you want to? Also, dig doesn't require the person being carried, I would think.
Because it is complete. Whoever added them has probably done their research before adding them. Not sure why you'd think it's incomplete just because there's nothing telling you that it is complete.--ForceFire 04:19, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
Why should I trust someone who hasn't made a single edit since 2017? Yes, I did try posting stuff on his/her/its user talk just to make sure he/she/it was really inactive. Also, this is a wiki. I can attempt to improve the quality of whatever parts I want. It's almost as if you're saying, "Not sure why you'd think there are grammar errors just because there's nothing telling you that there are no errors." sumwun (talk) 19:44, 9 March 2019 (UTC)

Natural freezing vs Freeze (status condition)

FinnishPokéfan said they are both same thing. Check the history of EP237. Eastern Goldfinch (talk) 07:48, 28 February 2019 (UTC)

I interpreted that as "it's no different from having a Pokemon getting frozen due to a move". I'm saying that the status condition is caused by a move, while Piloswine did not freeze because of a move, it froze because of nature (IIRC). Also, you should avoid making trivia for very specific things. It's not interesting and makes it looks like your trying to shove in a lot of things just to make it notable.--ForceFire 10:12, 28 February 2019 (UTC)

List of Pokémon that appear in multiple regional Pokédex

You have this old, apparently-abandoned candidate-for-mainspacing page in your userspace:

It looks like you stopped at Generation IV, even though you were considering Kalos Pokédex in your entries. Your last edit dates back to November 2015, more than three years ago. What happened? Did you get tired of building up that page, even though it was tagged as a candidate for mainspacing?

Well, never mind that. I don’t know if you would consider this an intrusion, but I started to edit that page so as to take Alola Dex into consideration (because the {{alldexh}} and {{alldex}} templates were updated to include Adex and the table rows were looking kinda messed up relative to the table headers. Currently, only Generation I has been updated; I still need to update the other Generations and also add Gens. V to VI plus refresh the Hoenn numbers for all Gens. because of ORAS.

The wikicode itself is a total mess, a mixture of raw wikicode and {{alldex}} transclusions. Why didn’t you make a template for all those rows that could not be served by {{alldex}}? And even I think {{alldex}} was somewhat badly engineered: why does it have to default unspecified dex entries to "001", when the most logical choice could have been "---"? Well, yes, I know the reason: that less-than/greater-than conditional used for the Sdex column crashes whenever you feed "---" to it, hence why {{alldex}} cannot even be manually fed with "---" values (as I tried when entering "s=---").

Maybe I should make a new, sandboxed version of {{alldex}} to take "---" values into account, or a newly-named template that could be called {{multidex}} that would automatically fill unspecified dex values with "---" (and make those "<"/">" comparisons execute only if their input arguments are specified). With such a new template, your neglected “apparent pet project” could be greatly optimized and quickly updated to the current USUM-savvy situation, and perhaps inch closer to mainspacing (that’s why you tagged it for mainspacing in the first place, right?). Given that you apparently do not have spare time to work on this (but I do have plenty of spare time), would you find it acceptable for me to update that page of yours? (But first, I must test that prototype row template in my sandbox.)

Thankee! ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM💬 03:01, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

I just created my sandboxed alldex template version:

 • {{User:SilSinn9801/alldex}}

Unspecified dex numbers fall back to #--- (rather than #001), and I added extra #ifexpr checks to ensure those less-than/greater-than conditionals do not crash when encountering #--- (the #--- is temporarily replaced with a sentinel value like -1 or 0 for such comparisons) and to ensure B2W2 and USUM do not show up for unspecified fallback values.

This sandbox template could now be used on your prototype multiple-dex page above (instead of all that ugly, extremely-tedious raw wikicode), if you give me the green light. Or, if you think this sandboxed version (which I do not think I need to change anymore — it looks stable enough to me) could be approved to replace the current {{alldex}} template, then feel free to nominate it for templatespacing.

Thankee! ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM💬 04:06, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

...
The reason I abandoned that article was because X and Y was too much. Unlike BW or DPPt before it, XY literally added almost every Pokémon in its regional dex, meaning I had to add much, much more than what I had originally thought I would be adding (I believe I started the article around B2W2?). And here comes Sun and Moon to rear its ugly butt in and do the exact same thing as X and Y. And to be fair, they had to compensate the generation's lack of new Pokémon by adding a crap ton of older Pokémon. But still. It was just overwhelming. So I abandoned it.
If you want to improve the page and make it more complete, be my guest. I could do it, I could've done it a long time ago. Time I had. Motivation I had not.
As for the coding. When I started the article, I copied and pasted the template from the "Pokemon in every regional dex" article, hence Gen IV uses the alldex template. And since I never updated it, the amount of parameters that I inputted did not amount to the number of paramaters the template has now, hence why it looks messy. When editing the template, I swapped out the alldex template for the raw wikicode. I don't exactly remember why. Looking at the coding, seems that Gen IV was the only generation I had left to swap the alldex template out before giving up on the article.
Adding "---" to the Sinnoh parameter in the Gen IV section will break the template, because the second parameter is set to Gen IV. You wouldn't add "---" in the column that should have a number. As for why it's default to 001, default is always 001 for list templates. Even if we were to update it, we don't need an entirely new template. All we have to do is change 001 to --- in the current template.
Aside from all that. If you want to update the page, go for it.--ForceFire 14:00, 2 March 2019 (UTC)
OK, thankee for your green light. However, I cannot use the current {{alldex}} template by doing param="---" in the transclusions - it breaks the mathematical comparisons (like {{{s}}} < 151, for example) when parsed, getting me red-colored error messages. Hence why I made the sandboxed version and re-engineered it (you can check its code and see how I improved it). But well, since you think there is no need to replace the current template, can I at least rename my sandboxed version of it to {{User:SilSinn9801/multidex}} before using it on your page? Just to avoid any confusion. ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM💬 16:59, 2 March 2019 (UTC)
I did not say that I prefer having 001 as the default, I was simply explaining why 001 is the default. As I said, we wouldn't need a completely new template, just update the one we currently have. Heck, the current template could do without the formula for sinnoh and make it like the others, simple. You can move your template to a new name yourself, if you want to.--ForceFire 06:04, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
OK, if you say it's safe to update the official template, then I could go ahead and do that (fortunately it is only being transcluded into two pages or so, so I do not expect server stress). Actually, my sandbox template was meant to be a proposed update to the official one, so if I update the official one based on my experience with my sandboxed one, then I may not have any further need for my separate version to exist and thus I could instead opt to request you use Perish Song on it. Just give me time for that, I got to sleep now because of my geographical location. ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM💬 07:06, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
I am going to update the official alldex, but I discovered some inconsistency regarding Udex: Unlike Jdex, Hdex, and Adex (where new dex values are printed first and old values –if any– are printed as tooltips along with Gen.II/III/SM), for Ndex > 493 Udex prints the old dex value first and the U2dex value as a tooltip (with B2W2). Shouldn't it be the other way around: print u2dex first and then old udex as tooltip (with BW, unless both values are the same, as is the case of Patrat family), in pretty much the same fashion as Adex? That way we can get rid of another #ifexpr numeric comparison: {{{2|001}}} < 494 (which right now is the one thing that decides whether to print U2dexB2W2 for non-Gen.V Pokémon or instead old Udex for Gen.V Pokémon). ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM💬 18:30, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
Why did you protect the official {{alldex}} template before reading this new suggestion above regarding the order in which u and u2dex values are to be printed? I noticed you did adopt my suggested --- fallback values, but there were a few other #if and #ifexpr instructions I wanted to add to that template to prevent the printing of tooltips and sups when deemed not necessary (like, for example, when both adex and sm are the same value, a tooltip should not show, or whenever u2dex and adex fall back to ---, no superscripts should be printed). ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM💬 05:32, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
First of all, I did not say you could edit the template. I said you could update thee userpage. Standard users aren't supposed to be editing high traffic templates (regardless of how many pages are actually using it), thus I protected it. As for the template itself, I personally don't think it needs to be that complicated. I think we could do without the if clauses and have users type out the superscripts and/or tooltips when using the templates. Tedious for users, sure, but if it makes the coding less complicated so be it.--ForceFire 08:31, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
Well, then go ahead and make the necessary changes (whether to remove the ifs and make me manually type the sups and tooltips at the input, or copy code from my sandboxed template and paste it into the official template, or delete that template then quickly move my sandboxed copy to it to effectively replace it - I am fine with any outcome) before I continue (and, hopefully, finish) that masterpiece of yours (your user subpage). Thankee! ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM💬 13:34, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

Just to let you know, I completed that masterpiece of yours, your list of Pokémon that appear in more than one regional Pokédex. All it needs now is for an admin like you to re-update the {{alldex}} template to suppress the B2W2 and USUM superscripts whenever the u2dex and adex parameters, respectively, are left undefined in the transclusions. And reverse the order in which both u and u2dex are printed relative to each other (to bring the Udex column on par with Jdex, Hdex, and Adex – that is, new dex value first, old dex value in tooltip). And allow the user to specify/print under the Adex column the sm parameter alone without requiring the adex parameter (useful for SM Pokémon whose Adex numbers were unchanged in USUM – just as is done under Udex when only u is defined without defining u2dex). All those requested changes are done in my proposed {{User:SilSinn9801/alldex}} template; you can copy the required code from my template and paste it into {{alldex}}, then every instance of {{User:SilSinn9801/alldex}} in your draft article can be replaced with the updated standard {{alldex}}, and then I can request Perish Song on my template. That is all, and THANKEE! ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM💬 02:38, 5 March 2019 (UTC)

(resetting indent)I've updated the template, but haven't deleted your template just yet. Once everything that uses your template is updated, then I'll delete it. I'll completely update my userpage at some point.--ForceFire 02:19, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

I just removed the last lingering transclusions of my user template from your draft article and replaced them with the updated alldex template. Now your page looks like a masterpiece – I can now say I can feel proud of turning a long-abandoned project into something of superb quality. Now I can finally grant you permission to use Perish Song on that sandbox template of mine. ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM💬 03:49, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

Candidates for merging.

Dear ForceFire,

I am aware of the policy regarding merging, that there needs to be a discussion and a general consensus for it to occur. However, most of the pages that I and others have marked for merging or deletion in some cases have not been acted upon for months, or years in some cases like the Winds of Water page, and also no discussion has occurred.

Here is a list of pages that should be merged together:

I am bringing this up as the Mountain Lighthouse was not considered worthwhile having its own page simply because little happened there, and stands as a more suitable subsection of the Misty Village page. Hope to hear back shortly,PardescanSlowbro (talk) 05:48, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

There is no deadline to when pages will be merged. Most of those a for minor things, so they aren't high on the priority list.--ForceFire 14:00, 2 March 2019 (UTC)
I'm more than fine to combine the pages myself by cutting the information from the article and putting it into the other, I simply need your say so to do exactly that. And afterwards I'll just need you to delete the residual pages.PardescanSlowbro (talk) 00:24, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
Merging isn't simply just copying and pasting. You have to preserve the history of the other article, which only staff can do. Like I said, it's not high on the priority list.--ForceFire 04:24, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
How long does the history preservation process take? Does the priority list have a page? Or is there someway this issue could become high priority?PardescanSlowbro (talk) 04:38, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
Moving Article A over Article B (after copying and pasting content from Article B to Article A), which involves deleting Article B (which only staff can do). And then undeleting the revisions of Article B on the new article (which only staff can do). There is no physical priority list that I am aware of. Even if there was, it's obviously not going to be out in the public. Since these are minor articles, they are unlikely to become high priority any time soon. These article have been laying around for years mainly because new things (like games or anime) show up and they take higher priority, putting these article lower and lower.--ForceFire 06:04, 3 March 2019 (UTC)

MechaMew2

Has this been left out of the mechas article for some good reason? Eastern Goldfinch (talk) 13:22, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

It's not canon, has absolutely nothing to do with the anime, even if it uses characters from the anime.--ForceFire 14:00, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

The MHA reference

You and Chosen both say that that's just a generic angry anime face that James makes in SM111. However, as I've already said before, I strongly disagree. Take a look at these pictures: [2][3][4] Can you honestly say you've seen eyes like that in some other anime? I highly doubt it. This is definitely not a coincidence. The Sun & Moon series loves making references to other anime, that fact has been established many times before. Why would this one be more farfetched than the rest? So, can we readd that picture and trivia on the episode article? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 17:13, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

I'm certainly not going to find every instance of an angry anime face, so here's the TVtropes page. In short, it's a very common trope in the anime and not exclusive to MA.--ForceFire 02:19, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
The thing is, usually angry anime are just round and white. These angry eyes are distinctively different. They're far from generic, a fact that you seem to fail to understand. Even the Bulbagarden Forums has acknowledged that this is a MHA reference. Please, can you give a permission to re-add that piece of trivia? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:20, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
So? Do I get the permission or not? I think this evidence should be enough to convince you. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 08:53, 9 March 2019 (UTC)
There are other anime that uses eyes shaped like the one in MHA. Again, I'm not going out of my way to find them because there are just too many of them to look through, but I wouldn't be surprised if a popular anime (idk, like DragonBall) didn't have an angry face stylised like the one in MHA.--ForceFire 04:42, 10 March 2019 (UTC)
Would it help if you heard some person who's seen more anime than you have to say their opinion on the matter? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 09:02, 10 March 2019 (UTC)
This is not a case of me apparently having watched more anime than you have, this is me being absolutely certain that he has seen an angry face stylized like that in more than a few anime. Again, I'm not going out of my way to find it because there are A) too many of them B) too many episodes to look through just to find one face.--ForceFire 09:09, 10 March 2019 (UTC)
And since you keep asking, I have googled and found plenty of comical angry faces that uses those stylized eyes as MHA. Full Metal Alchemist, Ouran High School, Another Full Metal Alchemist.--ForceFire 10:04, 10 March 2019 (UTC)

Planning to take a Wikibreak here…

I want to tell you that I am thinking of taking some kind of Wikibreak from Bulbapedia to focus on my upcoming original music single release (yes, I do chiptune music as you can read from my userpage), due April 1, 2019 (I have to prepare the promo videos and other stuff and won’t have time to dedicate to Bulbapedia). So, as a precautionary measure (in case someone hacks into my account and uses it to vandalize this wiki), may I ask you to temporarily freeze or block my account from performing any edits until May 11, 2019 (the second anniversary of me joining YouTube)? Is there a template that I can put on top of my userpage to alert readers that I am taking a Wikibreak until May 11, 2019? Thankee! ‑‑SilSinn (TIDs768426S123446UM💬 03:56, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

You can place Template:Inactive User on either your userpage or talk page (or both). I don't think blocking is necessary.--ForceFire 08:03, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

African Vulture/Annice Moriarty

I've had a message on my talk page from African Vulture about Annice Moriarty which reads as follows: I am currently working on fixing a mistake that has been made in regards to the Ugandan-American voice actress Annice Moriarty, a woman that some in the anime communities have mistaken for a similar sounding voice actress named Kether Donohue I'm wondering if you can help me migrate the page over to Annice Moriarty as they are not the same person at all. I've looked all over the internet, and I am unable to find any sources at all, even if she was not my sister. Can I ask for help in correcting this mistake? We actually did a parody of this on a youtube channel we created called Kether Ketchup, which was meant to make fun of the internet's mistake about Annie. I would deeply appreciate help in fixing this error, and would like to know what sources people claim to have so we can address them. thanks.

I'm not sure what to say about this and would like your advice--BigDocFan (talk) 10:21, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
I've already sent them a message.--ForceFire 10:27, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

Not sure how I am supposed to prove who I am given that I don't go around sending people my personal information after an event a few years ago where I had personal info stolen when I last visited this country I am currently in, but if I can prove in a way that does not mean me sending personal info to you guys I can do it. Annice Moriarty is a real name, not a pseudonym. A pseudonym is a fake name that somebody uses as an alternative to their real name. Annie Moriarty could be considered a pseudonym to Annice. Annice is an African name as is my name, Ritaya. thanks. African Vulture (talk) 14:28, 6 March 2019 (UTC) Of course you need to recignize that neither Annice Moriarty or myself are American-born, I do not live in America. So if you are looking through American birth records for Annice Moriarty you won't find her as she was not born in America. Annice is an African name of likely Swahili or Malagasy origin (as our mo mwas Malagasy and our dad is from Uganda) She never told us where Annie's name is from exactly. African vulture is my pseudonym, Annice Moriarty is Annice Moriarty's real name, we would not allow anybody to use the Annice Moriarty name because if they did we would be contacting them. By we I mean Annie. As for proof for who I am, a little while ago when I came to visit where I am right now, I had an incident where my identity was stolen, because I gave personal info to somebody who wanted me to prove who I am. that's why I'm not willing to send personal information, so if there is a way I can prove to you who I am without sending a Zambian birth cirtificate, personal ID or anything like that, I cannot help you for now. I'm ot even using my own e-mail address. A Canadian friend of mine allowed me to use his e-mail address for the purposes of this account. I chose him because of his knowledge of Pokemon, a series I am falling in love with myself. So if there's anything I can do short of giving you my personal information after the incident a while ago, I can for sure help you. thakns Ritaya. African Vulture (talk) 14:52, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

We don't ask for your personal information and such. Just link to us a page that is related to the actual Moriarty, if there are any, and the staff will try to contact her. Also, I'm not saying Moriarty isn't a real name, I'm saying the Donohue possibly used at as her pseudonym.
I searched through google for Annice Moriarty, I didn't look through any records, I don't have access to that. Also, Donohue was credited as Annice Moriarty in the actual credits of Kappa Mikey and an interview with her also stated that she voiced a character on the show.
And since I couldn't find (read: google) anything about an Annice Moriarty, I will restore Donohue's page to what it was before.--ForceFire 04:42, 10 March 2019 (UTC)

No, it must stay gone until you guys in th eanime community can provide proof that Donohue appropriated this Malagasy name. You guys are drawing parallels based on voice and that both Moriarty and Donohue were in a couple of the same shows. I don't doubt that Donohue has been in a couple of the shows that Annie has been in, but I'm affraid that you are the one who has to source that Moriarty is a pseudonym, since you guys argued the positive for eons. I am merely challenging this with a where did you get this from. IMDB is not reliable at all because it helps to propagate this lie/mis hearing of voices and misunderstanding of the interviews. She may have been in Kappa Mikey but she's not Annie. African Vulture (talk) 06:39, 10 March 2019 (UTC)

do not revert, she was in the show but until a source exists that shows Donohue's appropriation of the Annice Moriarty name, you must not re asd it. You may be highly respected on bulbapedia, including by me, but I do not respect your version due to it being wrong and not to mention unsourced. Show me the interview that she says "I am Annice Moriarty" or "I did this under Annice Moriarty" or else leave it be for now until you can find such a source. Donohue is a caucasian-American who has no right to the Malagasy name Annice Moriarty, if she were to use that name do you know how much the Malagasy and Swahili communities would be upset with her? especially in these times when cultural awareness is so strong? Seriously, Annie is Annie, Kether is Kether. Kether was in that show for sure, absolutely, but she did not use Annice Moriarty because she would otherwise be appropriating an ancient malagasy name. thanks. All these claims on sites like IMDB (which is user-submitted, I have submitted to that site myself for various things), and does not often fact check itself. I am working on removing all Annice Moriarty credits from them, as is Annie herself. I am contacting Kether Donohue right now using my friend's e-mail and am going to make her aware of this post, so she can come and explain to you everything from her point of view. give it time as she's likely a bus woman. thanks. African Vulture (talk) 06:47, 10 March 2019 (UTC) African Vulture (talk) 06:47, 10 March 2019 (UTC)

I am bringing a third party in just to help us figure this out. You need to find more better sources if you want to make this claim that Annie's name was used by Kether Donohue. The third party I found is Kogoro, another well-respected bulbapedia member. I want all of the Annice Moriarty stoff off that Kether Donohue not just because Annice Moriarty is my sister, but because there's nothing out there that officially verifies this. Leaving the real Annie asside, pesudonyms must always be verified before they can be added to places like this, it's in your own pollicies that you guys always push. thanks. Idea for Pokemon move pages

Seeing as some pages are getting really long because of all the ways lots of Pokemon can learn certain moves, what if the TM/HM/Move tutor tables are combined into one? The tables could have a header on how the move is learned in that particular generation, and they all use check marks to signify compatibility anyways, so I think it's a simple change that can go a long way in presenting data. Lanthanum (talk) 13:40, 6 March 2019 (UTC)

Gonna need to see what that would look like. I personally think TMs/HMS and tutor moves are completely different thing to be able to place into one table.--ForceFire 05:44, 9 March 2019 (UTC)
I wanna clarify that theyre really similar in move pages (say Defog), not in Pokemon pages (which should stay separate). You know how if a move is learnable by TM/HM the header displays the number of TM it is in a certain gen? If its learnable through move tutor, the header can read "Move tutor" instead. No move so far is both a TM and move tutor in the same gen, so conflicts between these shouldnt happen. Lanthanum (talk) 05:41, 10 March 2019 (UTC)

Annice Moriarty

Hello You keep re-adding an Annice Moriarty quote to the Kether Donohue page. Please look before you revert. Yo keep adding a thing "(as Annice Moriarty) even though Annice Moriarty is not a pseudonym for anybody let alone any American-born voice actress, because they would be appropriating a Malagasy name. thanks. African Vulture (talk) 05:34, 10 March 2019 (UTC)

Please refer to my comment above. Don't create a new section to discuss the same subject, use the section that already exists. Thank you.--ForceFire 06:04, 10 March 2019 (UTC)

Evolution templates on branched Pokemon

I noticed on pages for Pokemon like Gallade that are on one branch of a branch evolution, the Evolution section doesn't show the other branch (in this example, Gardevoir). I believe this should be changed, and that Pokemon on one branch should show the other branch in their Evolution template— the other branch is already mentioned in the introduction to the article, and I believe it would be very useful information to include, especially since the introductions don't mention the evolution method for the other branch. --celadonk (talk) 17:06, 10 March 2019 (UTC)

I think it's better if you go to the template talk page, that way people will see it (and they'd probably rather have a discussion there rather than on an admin's talk page).--ForceFire 04:55, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
I considered that, but there are a bunch of evobox templates, and I didn’t exactly know which one to post on. --celadonk (talk) 11:39, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
The main evobox template already has a talk page, you can just use that one.--ForceFire 12:13, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
Alright, I’ll post it there. Thanks! --celadonk (talk) 12:20, 11 March 2019 (UTC)

It's also worth mentioning that "Тиддлівинкс" is "Tiddlywinks" in Cyrillic letters... --celadonk (talk) 19:09, 10 March 2019 (UTC)
Yeah, this user should've been banned at the very start, as his/her username violates Bulbapedia's username policy. --Maxim (talk) 19:10, 10 March 2019 (UTC)

Green/Leaf

My reason for replacing Leaf with Green is that you're holding a double standard with her. When Gold was renamed to Ethan, the admins made the decision of the games overrode any sort of supplementary material such as game guides that referred to him as Gold in Gen II. With the ORAS demo, this further confined to just the fully released games. Then with Elio/Selene, you guys used supplementary material since there was no established names in SM and USUM, which is understandable. What I don't get is why a figurine is the reason why "Leaf" is being held over, when the games should be, by Bulbapedia's standards, override any sort of supplementary material, since PE established her name as Green. Also, if you're guys are going to stick with "Leaf" in the context of FRLG, regardless, then shouldn't Ethan be referred to "Gold" in the context of GSC, too? Jessie Kane Gill

I was wondering given Nina's continuing role in Pokemon if it was worth giving Jessie Kane Gill a voice actor page.--BigDocFan (talk) 11:58, 12 March 2019 (UTC)

While she does meet the notability requirement, page feels so empty when she's only had one role (though there are probably other va articles that only lists one notable role), doesn't seem enough. Try get second opinions.--ForceFire 03:54, 13 March 2019 (UTC)

Pokemon World in relation to real world notice idea

Could a notice template like (Template:Upcoming notice) be added to to discourage unnecessary editing and lower revisions that are brought the introduction of Galar, and to still allow for editing of previous regions. There also wasn't a notice up on that page before the full-on protection, which is probably why everybody thought it that it was fine to add Galar.
