Well, I tend to think of it like this: Nero and Orville were the equivalent to characters of the day, and in their episode outshone the human counterpart. Personally, I don't think the articles on Vicious's Pokémon are necessary, as are the articles about Paul's Pokémon that he owned for one episode. In fact, the other day somebody tried creating an article about a Raichu who was owned by a character of the day. Another administrator deleted it, saying that Pokémon owned by CotDs are non-notable. This actually is kind of a vague area, and I might have to bring up the issue with my fellow sysops. I think it goes too far when the Pokémon didn't play too big of a role in its episode AND was never heard from again. Examples: Vicious's Scizor, Paul's Azumarill, Murkrow (which hasn't even debuted yet!), and Weavile, who we don't even know if he'll keep. I'll bring it up with the other staff and get their opinions on it. --PAK Man ^Talk 16:55, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Well, we couldn't really come to a consensus. What we did decide, however, is that Pokémon belonging to characters of the day shouldn't have their own articles. Personally, I wouldn't see anything wrong with writing an article about Surge's Raichu or something like that. After all, if we have an article about Paul's Azumarill and Vicious's Tyranitar, I don't think it would hurt to have an article about a gym leader's main Pokémon. --PAK Man ^Talk 02:20, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

To be honest...

...I myself haven't been here for quite some time. In fact, today is my first post since at least mid-June. I haven't been being a good administrator lately, and unfortunately I cannot really help you with the situation, as I am not exactly familiar with it. You may want to try talking to Shiningpikablu252, as they have been much more active than I've been. Hey

Thanks for the help on the TCG pages! But, if you feel that you are having a hard time trying to do them, I suggest starting with the remaining Gen 3 Pokémon. They are so much easier to do and they need finished just as much. I started out with Gen 3 (because Gen 4 was already completed) and got the hang of making them and now I find it easier to make the previous Generations. So, if you start with Gen three, you will probably find it easier to make the older ones. ^Moldy_Orange 13:53, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, I'll do that. I went ahead and finished the Skarmory one, too - feel free to check it in case it needs corrections. The reason I started with Electabuzz is because he's my fave, and I knew it would be a nice challenge, especially since I have very minimal TCG knowledge. One thing that isn't needed though, I like to put the things like 1/"J" 35/PLAY and 152/"PCG-P" with the quotations (Not needed on PLAY and PPP though)...like I said, this isn't needed I just like to do it. Those episode templates

They are useless! They have more coding than writing them out, and it would make it confusing for people trying to link. Sorry, but they had to be gotten rid of. ^Moldy_Orange 11:05, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

Well, sorry, I had to leave for school and I didn't get home until now. And they were more coding. They had one vertical pipe more than just typing it out. Plus, users have a hard time grasping link templates, I'd hate to add three more that would only confuse on how they are usedf when the old way works as fine. ^Moldy_Orange 02:43, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

Those templates also wouldn't have worked for everything. Many links say something different than the episode title, and when it says "The first episode" the link should not be in italics. What about when an episode doesn't have a dub title?It would have to remain [[EP035]] or [[DP092]], making it so that the template would screw up. My upcoming hiatus

Hello everybody. I just wanted to let you all know that for the next two months, I will have to be here far less often, due to some stuff happening, leading up to a six months leave starting November 2nd and lasting, apparently, until May 9th (though who knows what will happen in all this time...)

The reason is that I'll be going on a long backpacking trip throughout Australia and New Zealand, with a few weeks in Thailand for dessert. You see, I just finished my three years of military service last month, and it's pretty common among young Israelis such as myself to go on such a journey after the army - to clear your head. Some choose South America, some go to the Far East. I chose Oceania.

By the way, if any of you live in Australia or New Zealand and would like to meet - chances are I'll be going through your town, so just e-mail me.

I'll still be around occasionally until November, and I'll post here again before my flight (I refuse to say goodbye until then). I like this place and I'll definitely be back once my trip is completed - whenever that happens. --electAbuzzzz ^(TALK) 19:41, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Admin position

Since your upcoming long break from Bulbapedia wouldn't be a good thing, we're going to abstain from giving you the administrator position for now. However, when you come back in May, you'll be right on track to be nominated again, especially if you make a lot of good contribs in the first few weeks back.
