Sad Notice

The whole point of me joining Bulbapedia was I thought it would be fun to share my knowledge with other people, but because of some of these rules, that fun is gone. I've ruined most people's lives and I try too hard to become an administrator, which made me blocked from editing my Userspace, so, I may be leaving Bulbapedia. Put on this Talk Page if you want me to leave or if you don't and your reason why. Whatever has the most votes will be my decision. Talk page

Please do not add personal content to your talk page, as user talk pages are only meant for communications with the user it belongs to. In time, if you make contstructive edits to Bulbapedia's encyclopedic pages, you will earn the ability to make a user page where you can put all your personal content. Your hack games

Your hack games and everything in them are not notable. Firstly, only extremely notable hack games are even mentioned, since they are actually illegal. This also means that unreleased hack games are never notable. Secondly, subjects such as that should never be added to pages by their creator or a close friend. Sonic the Hedgehog? Seriously...this is a Pokemon Site...you can't just call Sonic a Pokemon just because he appears in a hack game if you could then the entire Touhou cast would have their own pages Ataro 22:25, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

Resigning Posts

If you forget to sign the first time don't go back and add your signature afterwards. It messes up the timestamp and makes it hard to see who said what to who and when they said it. If you do forget to sign your post instead put {{unsigned|Pokedex493}} which will display as - unsigned comment from Pokedex493 (talk • contribs) . You're not doing a horrible job. While I admit you might not be doing as well as you could be, I've certainly seen worse. You're new here, and new users are bound to make mistakes sometimes. Hell, when I started out, I made nothing but mistakes. Just give the MOS a read if you haven't already, keep on editing what you feel needs changing, and you'll be fine. Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day. This policy was instated to prevent strain on our server, and also to promote people helping out in the mainspace. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. Note about the "Moves not in the games" page

On many of the cards, the attack names were not translated as what they are called in the game. I noticed that Ice Throw from Misty's Dewgong was on the list, even though its Japanese name is that of Ice Shard. I'm not sure if you were the one who added this, but just be aware that situations like this will occur. They should all be listed in the card's origin section, though, so it is easy to see when they are. Good job on filling in that page. ^Maverick_Nate 22:52, 29 November 2011 (UTC)

I was just wanting to make a page due to some of them had VERY distinct similarities. The reindeer was very similar to the winter Sawsbuck and the skeleton dragon looked very much like Reshiram, but if you say it shouldn't be on here, I trust you with that. Pokedex493 08:35, 24 December 2011 (UTC)

Moves not in the Pokémon games

Make sure you are reading the origin sections for each card you list. This card's attack is an Ability, and should not be listed as on the moves not in the games page. Everything else who's Japanese name matches anything from any game (including things like Warrior Skills, Abilities, XD and Mystery dungeon exclusive moves, items, etc) should not be listed. ^Maverick_Nate 22:38, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

We're not changing the move pages to acknowledge the Fairy type retcons yet because the move pages only cover Generations 1-5 at the moment. When they are updated to account for Gen 6, then the retcons will be added to them. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 03:59, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

Gen VI renames on cards

The reason many of them aren't done yet is because the cards have never consistently had the same format as the games. In card canon, an attack named "Thundershock" is not the same as an attack named "Thunder Shock". I haven't exactly figured out how the wording in origin sections should be for these cases, and I need to still get a few official answers to some questions before we do anything about it. I'll move it up on my agenda because it really should be done. That's just the reasoning behind why the relinks on cards has been put off for so long. ^Maverick_Nate 22:11, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
