Foresight

Foresight and Odor Sleuth do not remove all resistances. They only set evasiveness back to normal and make Ghost-types vulnerable to Normal- and Fighting-type attacks. They have no effect on the effectiveness of Electric on Ground. --DarkfireTaimatsu 21:39, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Pokémon availability

Don't take the text straight from Serebii, honestly. TTEchidna 21:40, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

I've never heard of that website. I'm just adding it based on what I've seen from games, Koffing seems easier to find in Red than in Blue, vice versa with Grimer. Babyg 21:42, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Help

I need help with the syntax on Template:Availability. Here is an example of what I mean:

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=Rhydon_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29&oldid=163368

Notice how under "Game locations" it turned out wrong? I need an explanation for this. Babyg 20:05, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

You must've missed a vertical pipe. It happens sometimes. Just make sure that after each thing you enter there's one of these: |. TTEchidna 08:56, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

& and and.

Don't use ampersands instead of and, unless it's something official like EX FireRed & LeafGreen. Ampersands are usually not in anything but a title.

Also, Generation I is essentially defined as Red, Blue, and Yellow, and Pokémon is spelled with the accented é, in the character map below the editbox. Please. Use it. TTEchidna 09:11, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Sysop Reverts

It's not a good idea to undo a reversion by a sysop. While the sysop isn't always 100% right (nobody is), the sysops know what they're doing. We have a manual of style and notability requirements that are there for the good of all users. --Shiningpikablu252 20:25, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Slowbro: Holding Shell?

It looks like Slowbro is holding it, but it is really on his tail which, because he is sitting, is in front of him! Ryguy 21:43, 15 August 2007 (EST)

STAB

It's been proven that the same-type attack bonus works the same way regardless of the Pokémon's type and whether it's a single-type or a dual-type. The STAB bonus is 50% regardless of whether it's a Seviper or Crobat using Poison Fang. Either you have a bad copy of the game, or the effects of a move such as Growl or Harden were in play causing the damage to be reduced. --Shiningpikablu252 20:25, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Or the fact that the Attack power of the Pokémon using it differs. Either way, STAB's +50% if the Pokémon's of the same type as the move, no matter what. TTEchidna 00:18, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Question for Diamond & Pearl

Does any trainer use a Riolu or would I have to hatch the egg to see one? Babyg 16:28, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

There's an Expert in the basement of the Oreburgh Gate who has a Riolu. He's in the part to the left that you have to Surf to get to. --Shiny Noctowl 16:34, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, didn't want to have to get the egg since my team is full and has really great Pokemon. Babyg 16:36, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
You could just dump one in the PC, ride around for five minutes, and you could dump the Riolu and get your good team member out. It doesn't take forever to hatch an egg... TTEchidna 00:38, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Swarms?

I have another question. I was getting lots of swarms in my Japanese Diamond, but since Friday, they have stopped working. Also, they did not start appearing after I got the National Dex in my English Diamond. Why is this? Babyg 21:16, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Is your in-game time correct? Has your DS's battery been removed or gone out recently? Both might be the problem. TTEchidna 21:46, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
No, I've never changed the clock or removed the battery. Babyg 21:57, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

Fullmoon Island & Newmoon Island

I recently got an Action Replay, and used it to catch Shaymin in Flower Paradise. I want to catch Darkrai now, but I need to know: Is Newmoon Island left, right, down or up from Fullmoon Island? Babyg 20:10, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

It's to the right. But you shouldn't cheat. --Shiny NoctowlTalk|Trivia quiz 19:36, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Azure Flute

What the freaking hell do I have to do to make it work?! Babyg 21:33, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Go to the Spear Pillar and stand on the symbol by the entrance (not the one where Dialga/Palkia appeared). --Shiny NoctowlTalk|Trivia quiz 21:36, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
I tried that but it did nothing. Babyg 14:19, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Draco Meteor

It's been proven that Mew cannot legally learn Draco Meteor. If you've had the tutor successfully teach it to you, tell me which cheating device you used. You had to have used one, since Mew can't learn Draco Meteor without one. This is mainly due to the fact that it never was a machine move, unlike most of the other move tutor moves.

And Draco Meteor's not the only tutor move Mew can't learn. Mew also can't learn Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, and Hydro Cannon, not in FireRed and LeafGreen and not in Diamond and Pearl. Again, those moves were never machine moves.

Please do not bring up any bull**** about Mew being able to learn Draco Meteor, Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, or Hydro Cannon ever again, or else the sysops probably will lower the boom on you. Hard. --Shiningpikablu252 16:45, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Then why does mine know Draco Meteor? Babyg 17:59, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
Hacked. Because I have a legit, level 10 Mew from the TRU event, with me in my party, and I went to Grandma Wilma's house on Route 210. I have no Dragon-types in my party. She says NO ONE WITH YOU CAN LEARN IT. SORRY. TTEchidna 19:41, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
No, why would I hack? I taught it legitmately. Just accept the fact that it CAN learn it. Seriously. Babyg 00:25, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Because it can't. I checked my own game. TTEchidna 02:24, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
I can get a picture if you want. Babyg 20:39, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
A picture won't make us believe you. Any idiot with a cheating device can hack Draco Meteor onto a Mew and provide pictoral proof. --Shiningpikablu252 20:45, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Okay, I DO have Action Replay, but I can also take a picture of the list of codes I have on it to show you I have no code enabling that any Pokemon can learn any move. Babyg 20:46, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
You can enable and disable codes at anytime using cheating devices such as an Action Replay. Just because a code's not set in the cheating device at the moment doesn't mean it wasn't ever enabled. --Shiningpikablu252 20:48, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
You really have to thing of every smart-ass thing, don't you? Babyg 20:49, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Dude. It doesn't matter that your Mew has Draco Meteor. My own Kingdra had Sky Attack one time, due to a glitch in Stadium 2 involving Red's 13th box. The point remains that Mew can't learn Draco Meteor by tutoring, just like Kingdra can't learn Sky Attack. In fact, I'm heading home to visit my family over the next weekend, and I'll post a YouTube video of myself walking onto Route 210, going into Grandma Wilma's house, and trying to get her to tutor my Pokémon Draco Meteor with a Mew in the party. I've once again gone to her, this time with my Kingdra and, of course, Mew, and she said, when I selected Mew, "Sorry to disappoint you... That Pokémon can't learn this move." Mew can't learn Draco Meteor legally. End of story. TTEchidna 22:13, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

I would like to say that you have used cheating devices. Action Replay. Now I have never cheated on my actual Pokémon Games, hands down. However I have on PC Emulators and I know, from the moment you activate a cheat, your game changes. Yes, your Mew can learn Draco Meteor if you say so, but that is because your game is messed up (not seriously messed up, just slightly) due to the cheating devices and cheats that you have activated. Even if you deactivate them, your game is still scarred. Listen to all of these people, they have all tried to teach their legit/non-legit (I don't know) Mews this attack and have all failed, except from you. So basically you are wronged by your cheats. Anyway what has been said, has been said, lets not try to make a big deal out of it... Tesh 22:38, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

TTechidna: How high is your Mew's happiness rating? Because your Pokemon must have high happiness to be able to learn it. Babyg 21:45, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
Tesh: I successfully taught it to my Mew before I got Action Replay. I had used no cheating devices beforehand. Babyg 21:45, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Then I have nothing more to say. TESH TALK SAND 21:51, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
