By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Just So You Know...

...you might be able to upload the screenshots yourself, now. Here's what to do.

  • First, copy another image's info:
    • Visit any of the other fourteen images
    • Click edit this page
    • Select everything in the box, and copy
  • Go to Upload Media
  • Scroll down to the Summary and hit "Paste" in there before copying something else over the clipboard data by accident; you can skip the license selection as it's already in the summary
  • Click "Browse"
  • Make sure the filename fits the format of "Pokémon Ranch WHATISIT Toy" (for instance, Pokémon Ranch Snowman Toy), then select it.
  • Click Upload at the bottom of the page
  • Hit "Back" and select the other image using Browse, again checking the filename before uploading

At that point, anyone can make enhancements by downloading the uploaded image and later reuploading it. If you want to try to enhance them yourself before uploading, consult with Pattyman (who has assisted with the other twelve) and you might even be able to enhance them yourself before uploading them, following the same steps after enhancing. Don't forget to change the description in the summary to match the new toy! CycloneGU (talk) 17:30, 5 July 2015 (UTC)

Also, we already have the Fountain, so there is only one new image. CycloneGU (talk) 17:53, 5 July 2015 (UTC)
Abcboy has uploaded them. I saw the Fountain in there and thought it was a duplicate, not realizing it was just added. I missed Parade Drum before. All sixteen are now linked in the article. CycloneGU (talk) 18:03, 5 July 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for teaching me. I've uploaded a new Poké Balloon image onto Archives, but I don't know how to enhance them. CY (talk) 04:35, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
You need to use external programs to enhance images before uploading. At least now you know you can upload images, which is a good first step; anyone who is an editor and knows how to apply the transparency can do so from there. I am not sure if Abcboy is available at all tomorrow, but Pattyman is there; I'll notify that you will be able to upload your images now, and to keep an eye on any new uploads (six more, I think?) in the category for transparency.
Almost sounds like I'm saying my work here is done. LMAO But I'll in effect make sure everything goes into the table properly in the end. =) CycloneGU (talk) 04:38, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
I don't really use photoshop... yep, only a few more toys. And how do you adjust the table's column widths so that the last column isn't so squashed? CY (talk) 04:47, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
I'll take a look, but you can see how it works at any of the Battle Trozei area pages I've been putting information into; I think I've literally done the entire project, with only five stages left to add HP data for and two sets of images for Zone 10 and Zone 13 Stage 3. Renegade Meadow is the first such area; just click "Edit" next to the first stage, look at the table header, and see there. This is an example where I've set every table for a specific look; it might seem excessive in this case doing table width and every column width, but different browsers read the same setup differently, so this one had to be done this way. In this case, you might only want to adjust one column, so let me know what you're trying to do and I'll see what the best setup is! =) CycloneGU (talk) 04:53, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
I had a look at Renegade Meadow, but the Ranch table doesn't follow that style. i.e. it doesn't have the how many pixels per column data. CY (talk) 04:57, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
That's what I meant. It would allow the table to be shrunk if used. However, I'm trying to determine the best way to use them, as this table sorely needs it. Would in-game captions be all right at the middle of the table, or is this the best order for some reason? CycloneGU (talk) 04:58, 6 July 2015 (UTC)

The placements are all random. The order probably doesn't matter. CY (talk) 05:13, 6 July 2015 (UTC)

All right, I'll take a gander then and see if I can come up with something that looks good. If I can't, I'll leave it alone for now. CycloneGU (talk) 05:22, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
Are the type-specific interactions in-game text that cannot be changed, or are they actual in-game descriptions? I'm already assuming the description column is in-game. If none of it comes from the game itself, I might like to reduce some of these. CycloneGU (talk) 05:28, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
I'll note the reason I am asking is because of this; go down to the Toys section. The descriptions are much smaller there, so I think someone might have overdone the initial table. I want to keep some of the extra data, but the description itself should really just be the ones listed on this page provided you can confirm they are the in-game data and not his own descriptions. If they are his own wording, I can't use that page. CycloneGU (talk) 05:34, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
Type-specific and special interactions are my observations, similar to the description. On second thoughts, they can be lumped together. I guess they can be omitted completely, but I'd be reluctant. The only in-game text is the 'in-game caption'; keep in mind that Ranch is an extremely simple interface, so you see no more than 2 lines of text at a time. CY (talk) 05:37, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
I have never seen a part of the game which allows for the user to read descriptions of each toy; I am pretty sure that whoever wrote the FAQ created those descriptions. The descriptions on the Ranch page, on the other hand, were based solely on my observations, so are more lengthy and wordy. CY (talk) 05:41, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
I have trimmed a lot of text. The table no longer stretches and, on my screen, every set of text is no more than three lines, well within the width an image allows. How does it look now? Note of course that some images are missing, so those will look different. CycloneGU (talk) 06:10, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
Looks great! My original descriptions were way too lengthy anyways. I'll try to upload the rest when they appear in my Ranch. CY (talk) 06:13, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
