On English names

The magazine is currently not a trusted source, as the screenshots reveal they were almost certainly playing a pirated Japanese version of the game, and not the officially translated one. Thus, their "source" is probably just the internet, and not the game itself. We're awaiting a final decision on this matter, but until then, please do not change any more names. Thanks for your help with those reverts, it was very much appreciated! Bikini Miltank 18:06, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Hey, it was my fault that they were there in the first place, it's only courteous to help change them back. :) Blazios 18:21, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Hilda Changes

Hello! I was wondering about the changes to Hilda (game). You changed/deleted the Balanced movesets. I don't want to start WWIII, but Hilda asks what kind of pokemon she should use: Offence based, Defence based, or a balance between the two. I was just trying to add a third section, balanced pokemon (Well, I asked if someone else would do it...). Why did you move the balanced pokemon to the defence based pokemon? User:Focus58 says "Hi!"

She uses both of those movesets in the Defensive based teams. There isn't a separate category for balanced Pokémon, all the Pokémon she uses are from either offensive or defensive. When you select balanced, usually she uses one of each. Blazios 00:59, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

Really? Maybe we should make a list...Because i know the gender is random, and I bet the items are chosen from a predefined list for each pkmn...anyways, thanks!User:Focus58 says "Hi!"

The gender and ability are random, but the item is set. I've already had repeated Pokémon, just with different abilities but the same item and the team was balanced but had one offensive Pokémon and one defensive Pokémon. Blazios 11:36, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

Right. We should make a whole page on the pokes and movesets, I think. Also, do you know a way to get better at templates? And how to get imiges on your sig? Like: *Zen mode darmanitan*User:Focus58 says "Hi!"*Zen mode darmanitan* Thanks!!User:Focus58 says "Hi!"

Previewing

I understand that you are coming across individual Pokémon for Hilda and adding them to the page, but you should really try collecting quite a few before saving, so as to not flood the server with edits, especially with the high-stress state it is in at the moment. --SnorlaxMonster 14:35, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

The Squirtle Squad

Even if it is working for Jenny, he is not in her team, isn't it ? Koljab 18:59, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

Yes. Blazios 19:04, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
So why it in the section "Other" ? Koljab 19:06, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
Because not every Jenny has a Squirtle Squad and Jenny is not strongly associated with them, unlike Growlithe. Blazios 19:09, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
But we are agree with the fact that Jenny does not owns the Squirtle Squad (including Ash's Squirtle), she's just somehaw their boss ?! Koljab 19:14, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
not every Jenny "has" a Squirtle Squad, but you contradict yourself here, when you say that, you mean by this that it is in her possession. Koljab 19:21, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
I'm not contradicting myself at all, the Jenny that appeared in The Fire-ing Squad owns the Squirtle Squad. The work for her, live with her and obey her commands, so they are owned by her. If you wish to debate the meaning of ownership, see here. Blazios 19:26, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

Ok, and according to what you just said, the Squirtle Squad is in Jenny's team!? But what about Ash's Squirtle which is a part of the Squad, Ash still owns it! A Pokémon can't be owned by two Trainers ! Also, concerning the articles of James' Cacnea and Gardenia, are you agree with my last changes ? Koljab 19:35, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

That's correct, they're in that one Jenny's team, though the article is about all Officer Jennys. Ash's Squirtle left Ash's party, ergo, it is not in Ash's party. I disagree with your edits concerning Cacnea and Gardenia as it was mentioned that Gardenia used Cacnea against Barry, meaning it had to be in her party. Blazios 19:40, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
But in Ash's article, in the part "In training", there is this sentence : "This section is for the Pokémon that Ash still owns but are in the care of another Trainer." which means that Squirtle is still owned by Ash. Concerning Gardenia and James' Cacnea, Cacnea is still owned to James (according to the fact that Pokémon which are in training are still owned by their trainer) so it can't be in Gardenia's team ! Koljab 19:47, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
Gardenia has Cacnea's Poké Ball and uses it for battles, so it is in her party. Jenny uses the Squirtles to put out fires, so they are with her. There is nothing that changes that. Blazios 19:54, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
What about I told you concerning the sentence in Ash's article? Also when I asked you Even if it is working for Jenny, he is not in her team, isn't it ?, why you answered me Yes ? I understood by this answer that you meant that the Squirtle Squad is not in Jenny's team. Koljab 20:00, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
When it says Ash owns them, it simply means that they can all be called upon by him. Squirtle still lives and works for Jenny, so by definition, she also owns it. When I said yes, I meant that yes, Squirtle is in Jenny's team. Blazios 20:06, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
I don't think it means that because after this sentence, there is this one Some can be called upon at any time if needed.. We talk about the Pokémon that can be called upon by Ash here. So it's different in the first sentence: we talk about the Pokémon that Ash still owns (in the proper sense), no ?
So basically: at this time, Jenny owns the Squirtle Squad (including Ash's Squirtle), and when Squirtle (Ash's) will be called upon by Ash, at this time, it won't be (only it) in Jenny's team but in Ash's one. And same thing about James' Cacnea, actually, it is in Gardenia's team, but when James will call it back, it won't be in Gardenia's team but in James' one. is that correct ? Koljab 20:19, 17 June 2011 (UTC)
Pretty much, which means the articles are all fine as is. Blazios 20:24, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

Cross Gen Evo

Well, you were right, but I felt the category should cover both. So I discussed it with some staff, an agreement reached, and I have changed it accordingly. We may actually rename the category as well, still discussing that. -- MAGNEDETH 03:19, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Sorry regarding the trivia

I'm really sorry regarding me posting some trivia on the trivia section of Pokémon Emerald earlier. It's just that it is a very important piece of information that I need to place it there. Maybe you can just tell me where I can place it. --Bian 09:54, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Spelling error

Hey Blazios. On your userpage you has spelled video wrong. You has spelled VIDERO. --Nazirbashir 17:41, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

It's not an error, it's a Homestar Runner reference. :) - Blazios talk 17:46, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
Oh sorry man! --Nazirbashir 17:57, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

"This should wait until it's actually announced."

Alright, well if that's the case, everything else I added on Friday should be removed too, the Zoroark C-Gear skin, the Korean stuff, and the new catalogue on the Décor page. Bluesun 04:16, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

hi

I didn't just "removed trivia without explanation" on the Unown paged: I moved one trivia that can be easily integrated in the phisiology section, ordered trivias in order (first those related to movie/anime, then those related to games) and deleted some useless and pointeless trivia. Though the last point of my edit can be debated and discussed on the talk page if you want, the other moves I did were legit and fine, so it was really disrespectful to remove my edits without checking what I really did --SamuStar 19:03, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

Surely that kind of thing is supposed to go in the edit summary? I see no reason why the Ranger trivia needed to be removed, for example. Also, you took out a piece about Unown being one of the only non-legendaries that is unable to breed. In that case, why not take that from every other page? It was in no way personal but a consensus (or at least an explanation) is needed before removing that much content at once. - Blazios talk 19:27, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

Spooky Manor minigames

Hey, just want to make sure you're sure about the minigames you've added to the Spooky Manor Pokémon table (specifically, Duskull and Chimecho). We should list each gender separately, especially in cases when we don't have data about both yet.

I'm also curious why you flipped Disable and Sludge Wave for Gastly. Hezekiah 16:37, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

The minigames appearing on both were typos. I switched the move because Sludge Wave is a TM move and I assumed it to be easier to get on Gastly. Then I realised it's a TM move that Gastly can't normally get and switched it back. - Blazios talk 16:44, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
Alrighty then. Glad that's all cleared up. Thanks! Hezekiah 16:48, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

Dispute

If Cofagrigus had to hide its arms, it has to hide his face as well. Also, look at it's sprite in pokemon rumble blast. It gives you a good reference.--My r6g4rdz, TEH GIGA-UBER-1337-HAX0R(Mr-ex777) 12:24, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

The pokemon from rumble are toys. They do not need excact features that normal pokemon have, but this is a weird exception.--My r6g4rdz, TEH GIGA-UBER-1337-HAX0R(Mr-ex777) 12:51, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
Play Pokédex 3D. It moves its arms and its face separately. - Blazios talk 13:30, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
I watched it. It moves in the same time.--My r6g4rdz, TEH GIGA-UBER-1337-HAX0R(Mr-ex777) 13:37, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
No, it doesn't. Watch it more closely. - Blazios talk 13:47, 24 November 2011 (UTC)

Keldeo dispute

I responded on Meloetta's talk page, and talked to MAGNEDETH about the issue. He agrees that Meloetta isn't official yet, but he feels we shouldn't even really bother mentioning which Pokémon is "officially" last. So we're both right on Keldeo's page. Have a nice day. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 20:08, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

My apologies

I accidentally reverted your edit for some reason, my apologies. ht14 23:47, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Actually, that wasn't my edit. No harm done to any party, though. - Blazios talk 23:49, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
Oh... right, it was to Dialgafan1... in any case, sorry about that, aiya. ht14 23:51, 15 July 2012 (UTC)

Explain?

In Black, to get Butterfree, you have to evolve Metapod. You cannot catch it in-game. Is this not correct? Are we trying to tell people in Black they cannot get Butterfree? (Yes, I know it's common sense, but let's be honest...some readers don't have it.) CycloneGU (talk) 00:43, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

(Followup) - After another revision responding directly to my edit summary on the Metapod article, I brought up the discussion here. I also have a thread on the Metapod talk page. Thus, while my view stays the same, a response to this is not necessary as my point will be brought up with other staff from the sound of things; if you wish to submit input in either discussion, however, please feel free. CycloneGU (talk) 01:24, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

Expansive templates

When adding a massive template to a page, like {{SubwayPartner}}, it is exceptionally mandatory that you do so by editing the entire page rather than a single section and that you preview the page before saving. Your additions to Nate and Rosa resulted in both pages exceeding the template inclusion limit and forced an emergency subpage creation for both articles. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 11:59, 22 October 2012 (UTC)

My apologies, I'll keep that in mind. - Blazios talk 12:21, 22 October 2012 (UTC)

Event Pokemon Meowth

You reverted my changes to the list of Gift Pokémon and Icirrus City because the Meowth I found was part of a Wi-Fi event and not the actual game. It appears that you were completely correct, I had no idea, I didn't even realize those sorts of events played out like that. What is the best way for me to check this sort of thing in the future so I don't repeat this mistake? Vlad.frostbringer (talk) 04:34, 15 January 2013 (UTC)

Mega Mawile

"It's redundant to have type lists for Mawile and Mega Mawile when they're the same type."

Well, that's true but I've been doing that for all Megas, because I saw that Mewtwo and Charizard's pages had a type effectiveness table even for Mega Mewtwo Y and Mega Charizard Y, even though they have the same type too. Plus, I'm adding another table just for the Megas because even though they have the same type, the notes are different. For example, Mega Mawile can't be given a Ring Target unlike regular Mawile, so it will never lose its immunity to Poison or Dragon. I think that if the staff don't want repeated tables, they should change the code of the Ring Target note and add a clause for pokémon with Mega Evos instead of undoing what I did otherwise I'm wasting my time here. Metalizard (talk) 23:11, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

The only reason they were added on Mewtwo and Charizard's page is that they both have other Mega Evolutions with different types and they're still redunsant there. It's implied by the fact that a Pokémon has a Mega Evolution that its item can't be changed, it's not necessary to change the template for it, otherwise we may as well add a comment about Sticky Hold while we're at it.- Blazios talk 23:21, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

Friend Safari

Last time I've heard, we aren't listing Friend Safari in Game locations. If you want to be sure, we could ask a staff member. My best guess involves the mechanics of Friend Safari: each friend is assigned a randomized set of mons that are of a randomly chosen type; because of this, there's a chance the mon cannot be found there, and Game Locations list "for sure" locations. Berrenta (talk) 03:28, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

I already have done and as I've stated there and on the Friend Safari page, I fail to see the logic in leaving information of a possible location missing, no matter the odds of it, especially as we continue to list the permanently unobtainable Dream World locations as guaranteed locations. - Blazios talk 03:32, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
If they decide that it's allowed, that's fine with me; I could add it in to the other pages where needed. Anyways, take care! (PS: Not sure myself about the fate of the Dream World area listing when Dream World shuts down in December) Berrenta (talk) 03:39, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

Freeze-Dry Typechart

I don't see that quote anywhere. I had created a section on the talk page for discussion and nobody responded, so I felt free to remove the chart. It would be quicker to read the description than to calculate effectiveness based on the chart. "Anyone reading the article can easily figure out on their own that the only difference between this move and other ice-type moves is the fact that it's super effective against water-type moves."--V4Victini (talk) 22:55, 24 January 2014 (UTC)

Check the edit history of the page. The chart was re-added to the page by a Senior Admin after being removed, listing the reason I quoted. Its use is for quickly determining damage on Pokémon, especially ones such as Ludicolo or Kingdra for which Ice-type attacks are normally neutral against but Freeze-Dry is 4x effective. - Blazios talk 00:39, 25 January 2014 (UTC)

Smash Run enemies

Could you link where you've spotted Petilil and Cryogonal as Smash Run enemies? Trying to track these down for SmashWiki. Thanks. Miles (talk) 02:25, 12 June 2014 (UTC)

While I can't remember off the top of my head where I first saw Petilil, Cryogonal is in this video at about 2:05 and a few times more during that Smash Run. - Blazios talk 03:59, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
Petilil's here. - Blazios talk 04:03, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
