Welcome to Bulbapedia, Arpha!

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Signing talk page comments

Please remember to sign your talk page comments by typing four tildes (~~~~), by selecting the four tildes in the character palette below the editing window, or by clicking the add signature button (button_sig.png) above the editing window. This provides your signature, which includes links to your user page and talk page as well as a timestamp so people can tell when you left the message. If you'd like, you can customize your signature by following the instructions in the Signature policy. Thanks! --Den Zen 20:07, 13 September 2013 (UTC)

Biology section edits

I will keep track of my own Biology section edits here for the sake of clarity. Following Snorunt, I'll move through the generations in numerical order in order to pick up any articles other users may have missed.

To do: Pokémon from Paras (#046) to Kadabra (#064); Gastly (#092) to Kingler (#099); Hitmonlee (#106) to Chansey (#113); Kangaskhan (#115) to Seaking (#119); Kabuto (#140) and Kabutops (#141); Zapdos (#145) to Mewtwo (#150). Counting Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff, which are currently protected, that's 50 more Biology sections to clean up in Gen 1. - unsigned comment from Arpha (talkcontribs)

It's nice that you're eager about this, but talk pages are for other users to leave messages for you. It would be better for you to keep track of this somewhere else (such as a Word file on your computer), or — once you are autoconfirmed — your userspace. I ought to have read the Talk page policy over before posting -- I'm sorry for that! On this topic, though, are there any check-off lists or discussions for the biology section rewrites that I missed? I think this is a good project for new users, and it would help if we had a better idea of what's already been rewritten, what needs to be rewritten, etc. Arpha (talk) 00:12, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
I don't know of any. I considered starting one in my userspace back in the first week or two of it, but never got around to it since I felt it was likely to get ignored by editors and become out-of-date, as I'm frequently too busy to keep up with all the Recent Changes myself. But if you think it's useful, I'll reconsider making one, then. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 01:01, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for considering it! Arpha (talk) 01:04, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
It's not finished, but here's a start. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 02:33, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi there! I really appreciate your help with the biology sections, but when writing the Pokemon's physical description, please try to be a little more thorough. The descriptions are a little cramped. Thanks! Crystal Talian 03:09, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

Comparing the Persian page to the Seadra page, I think I'm getting a little better with the physical descriptions -- but there's a lot of room for improvement. I'll try to get future edits more in line with the Bulbasaur page; when I'm done with that, I'll go back to the old edits and fix them up. Arpha (talk) 03:23, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
