Pokémon

Hi there! I'm YoshisWorld. As you can probably tell from my username, I like Super Mario, too. I like Sonic the Hedgehog too, but not as much as Super Mario or Pokémon. Anyway, let's get on with the main topic. My first ever Pokémon game was Pokémon Gold. Since then, I've become a huge Pokémon fan!

After Pokémon Gold, I kinda went back a little and got Blue and Yellow. So, probably, I've got Pokémon games from every generation.

NO I do not EV train. I disapprove--it takes too long to train, and plus, sometimes the Pokémon you're required to train on are so rare they're not going to come up anyway. Plus, if you train in a certain stat, a foe can pick out your weaknesses easily (say, Empoleon uses Drill Peck on Altaria, Altaria trained in Attack and Special Attack, pow, dead). Plus, nature could further make your weakness weaker as, let's say, Naive nature raises Speed, lowers Special Defense, Special move used, pow, dead. Although sometimes the offensive stats can get quite useful while EV training, I still disapprove.

Pokémon Notes

  • XD Bill gave me shiny Eevee in both HeartGold and SoulSilver. I found a Shiny Poliwag in Violet City while training. Additionally, I got Pokérus. I'm too lucky. =DS
    • I also found a Shiny Starly in the beginning of my Platinum game, but since it was in the beginning of the game, I didn't have any Poké Balls. =(
  • For those of you who are going to ask how I got a Gothita in White, I traded it from my Black.

Monotype Teams

Yeah, I started making monotype teams in Platinum. No, I didn't make a Normal type team. Otherwise I have a team of every type. Trust me, it filled up my Pokédex as well as making me invincible.

I started by making an only-Fighting type team, my Infernape being the leader (out of boredom, of course) and then I got really interested and I decided to make monotype teams for every game onward. No, I don't make separate teams of every type for every game--I really just add members (like how I started a Fighting type team with Infernape--Heracross is Fighting type of my SoulSilver team, added team member of Fighting monotype team). If I don't have many Pokémon of that type, I just catch another Pokémon of that type and make it a good team member. Whew, my fingers hurt from typing so much.

Monotype Team Notes

  • I did not do any Monotype teams in Black and White. I was way too tired out. Training is hard. ROFL.
  • I use HeartGold SoulSilver Sprites. I also put HeartGold and SoulSilver as the game listed because that's the time I last made my monotype teams.

A lot about YoshisWorld

☆Hi! As you've already seen, I'm YoshisWorld. You know what, I think I should have put this up over the Pokémon section, but whatever. I let the suspense grow like a Ghost type.

I'm a huge fan of Pokémon, as well as Super Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog, Star Fox, and a lot of other things. I'm not a fan of the GTA series as there is too much cursing as well as stealing...and...er...other stuff. (Not going to say.) I love animals too. I've got a dog, a cat, and a rabbit. The dog I named Gardie, the cat I named Nyarth, and the rabbit I named Mimirol. All Japanese names of Growlithe, Meowth, and Buneary. XD (I can understand and speak Japanese, by the way, but I never get Japanese games.)

I'm a relatively nice person to talk to. If you like anything I'm against than I wouldn't suggest you talk about it with me. I get very angry over people who aren't for gay rights. I'm not gay myself but my sister is and if you are against gay people I don't think you should talk to me. If you dislike people who are of different races, religions, don't talk to me either. My temper doesn't get the better of me often but it will if you dare discuss those things with me.

As you might have noticed above, I go by the name "Yoshi" in every game. Yes. Yoshi is awesome! (Plus, I like the restaurant.) No I will not tell you my real name. You can just call me Yoshi or YoshisWorld.☆

♪Favorite Pokémon♪ (WARNING: All CONTENT IS OPINIONS.)

Yah I have favorite Pokémon.

Typhlosion--Typhlosion is the best Pokémon ever!!! Also, it's the best Fire starter as it isn't part Fighting for once. (or any other type.) And its Special Attack and Speed is just beast.

Umbreon--Umbreon, the first and last defensive Eeveelution. That's what makes it so unique! It's so the tank on my HeartGold team. Plus, in Pokémon Stadium 2, it flashes between its Shiny and Normal form!

Shroomish--SHROOMISH IS NOT AMUSED.

Breloom--I love how it goes from angry to happy face.

Gyarados and Milotic--Counterparts. Awesome! I love counterparts. I've used a Milotic in Ruby, and I'm telling you, despite being elegant, it's BEAST with its moves! Gyarados can destroy all.

Zorua-Cutest Dark type ever! Zoroark is very powerful as well.

Joltik--If I ever see this in reality, I'm telling you, you don't know how many times I will say "Cute!" and hug it.


Least Favorite Pokémon (WARNING: ALL CONTENT IS OPINIONS.)

Yah I have hated Pokémon.

Dunsparce--In my opinion the worst Pokémon EVER. Normal type, not Bug type? Or at least Ground, since it can dig. I hate how it looks too. I gave 30 of my many Dunsparce TCG cards away to my smaller cousins. The only one I kept is the Shiny one.

Chansey--Special wall. Annoying. Don't know why it bothers to have Egg Bomb with that Attack.

Throh and Sawk--Annoying English names. Plus, I think I'll Throh the Sawk I was going to put on. Bad looks too. And weird cries. Sorry.


Anime Related

Here are some things of the Pokémon Anime. My favorite series of all is the Original Series.

Favorite Male Characters (WARNING: ALL CONTENT IS OPINIONS.)

Brock--He's mature. He's smart. He can make good food (and I love food). And he flirts with girls, which means it's one of the rare instances where we see his eyes open! My favorite male character for sure.

Ash--I have to say Ash matured greatly from EP001 (obviously). Now he knows so much about Pokémon, and his determination for his Pokémon is good. Though he could be a bit stupid at times, like telling his Pikachu to use Volt Tackle in Mutiny in the Bounty! only to get closer to J so she could turn Pikachu to stone.

Cilan--Like a replacement of Brock. I like how he goes overboard when something happens to his food.

Paul--He cracks me up. Especially in A Gruff Act to Follow! where he literally makes Dawn explode.

Favorite Female Characters (WARNING: ALL CONTENT IS OPINIONS.)

Misty--The only really good female character in the cast. She's stubborn, she's smart, she slaps Ash, and she pulls Brock away when he flirts! Awesome. Also, unlike May or Dawn, she doesn't stop Ash's journey by going to contest.

Iris--She swings on vines. That's awesome! Plus, her huge hair is funny. And Ash scanned her hair with his Pokédex. Awesomeness.

Zoey--She has awesome Pokémon. Her Gallade and Glameow are really good. She's really good at contest. And she's redheaded and tomboyish, like Misty.


Least Favorite Male Characters (WARNING: ALL CONTENT IS OPINIONS.)

Trip--He's like a second Paul. Though he's not cruel to his Pokémon, he thinks Ash is worthless, a waste of his time. Also, Ash gets excited when he sees Trip like he does with Paul.

Gary--Gary was immature. Gary was good that way. Gary looked better in his original design than his clothing in Diamond and Pearl series. Gary was here! Ash is a loser!

Least Favorite Female Characters (WARNING: ALL CONTENT IS OPINIONS.)

May--Though I'm not a huge fan of May she definitely ranks higher than Dawn. I know, I know, "she didn't even like Pokémon at the beginning of her journey!" but, she isn't as vain or concerned about every minor thing that happens to her hair or her face. And I hate vain people. And also, she actually evolves her Pokémon, (Skitty and Munchlax exception). Her Torchic evolved. Her Bulbasaur evolved. Her Squirtle evolved. And her Eevee evolved. Come on Dawn, I know Piplup doesn't want to evolve but at least evolve your Buneary! Or your Quilava to the awesome Typhlosion! (If that happens, maybe I'll take Dawn off the Least fave female character list.) Or it might be because Buneary doesn't like Dawn...

Dawn--Yep. She's concerned too much about her hair. It's so horrible, in fact, she makes her Piplup use BubbleBeam to fix it! What a waste of bubbles! She's vain too! She's more concerned about showing herself off rather than her Pokémon in a Pokémon Contest! (May, in the Wallace Cup even said it.) And I don't like the way she says Spotlight. She only fully evolved her Mamoswine (and if you're going to argue with me about Togekiss, let's remember, Princess Salvia gave it to her). Alright, if you're going to say Ambipom as well, I'm talking about Unevolved-> First Evolution -> Second Evolution. The only appeal I really liked is when Cyndaquil was sliding down Buneary's Ice Beam.

Video Game Related

☆☆Well I had quite a few video games as you might have saw above. (Although I only showed the DS games.) I don't cheat in video games. I think you should just play the game like any other person would. The Shiny thing was pure luck. So was Pokérus. There's not much to talk about here as I already explained my Pokémon teams up there. Monotype teams will be on another page.☆☆

Bulbapedia

Well I have to say I've come a long way since I started on Bulbapedia. I first started out with minor edits, and then eventually I made new sections of articles. Then I looked at the main page and right now I'm focusing on writing wanted articles.

Most of my contributions have something to do with the Pokémon games, however I do write incomplete synopses when they're needed (if my computer works so I can watch the episode again). I also reword some articles that have sentences which make no sense at all. My first ever edit was on the Fire type page, where I saw that it said, "...this is especially advantageous for Fire types that specialize in physical moves, as Steel types are very defensive against physical moves and would have no problem with any physical moves thrown at them". I changed it to special moves.

I've edit warred once (I edit warred on the first day of my career in Bulbapedia) over an error that had to do with the Pokémon anime. Now I'm afraid to ever edit the same thing again since I don't want to be blocked, so now I just ask.

Though I'm a member of Projects Games, Anime, Fandom, and Walkthroughs, I've done most of my edits to the last one. I am recently writing missing pages for the walkthrough of Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky and I plan to do more than that. As it says on the top of my page my goal is to become an admin (or at least be part of the staff) of this site.


I'm better at writing articles than I am at adding pictures. I've always been confused and even when I get an answer, I never see how I could get it! Depressing. So I just stick to writing.

The most excelled template I'm good at making is the Party templates. I've used other templates though sometimes they (accidentally) come out wrong so I always have to fix it again.

Whatever. I'll be updating this later (or tomorrow). I need to write some articles.
